childhood is discovering intermittent fasting for the first time and thinking that anyone who doesn't skip breakfast is a fat retard

adulthood is realising that skipping dinner is the optimal choice

Why would anybody skip the most important meal of the day
I personally have pancakes, Aunt Jemima syrup, a bowl of Kellogg's cereal and skim milk, and a delicious healthy glass of orange juice
Nothing better

Who the fuck has time for breakfast?

That’s why you get up with more than 10 minutes before you have to go to work

jesus what the fuck

based wagie

rest is more important, i can make up calories any time.

Since it's been established that 4 to 5 meals are ideal to maximize MPS I also have breakfast.

I only eat breakfast

Heh, breakfast. Never eat it myself.

But then I guess you guys are still taking the "blue pill" when it comes to nutrition. I bet most of you still follow the "food pyramid" too, and think "whole grains" are healthy.

Me? Well, I eat high protein, and practice intermittent fasting. You've probably never heard of it. Only eat between 11am and 7pm each day. Yep, just 8 hours.

"Most important meal of the day!" I hear you fatties cry. Heh. Using intermittent fasting, I maintain a low bodyfat year round. Did you know that eating carbs spikes your insulin which makes you store fat? Can you handle it?

Well, I'll be over here making gains and staying lean. If you're ready to take the red pill, I suggest you start by googling paleo, or keto. Prepare to have your minds blown, normies.

based and redpilled

the food pyramid is legit, it's just that you'd need not to exclude items from either the top or bottom, which dieters and freak activists often do. whole grains are healthy if your intake of minerals is otherwise already sufficient. just eating whole grains with basedamilk, eating vegetables and fruits won't get you anywhere without some animal products

all "traditional" dieting advice was invented by pseuds during post-ww2 era and cereal company propaganda

that said, i still eat breakfast but i eat it a bit later (9-ish)

I used to eat it, but I'm a recovering fat fuck that lost all of his weight via a mixture of OMAD and 16/8 and as a result, I can't eat a lot now without feeling full for the rest of the day.

I tend to save myself for lunch and dinner.

it's basically set in stone science that carbs aren't actually bad for you, same with fat. what matters is your intake of phytonutrients, which help with shitloads of issues and make life overall much easier. ketogenic diets are nutritionally adequate, but they also shorten your lifespan

Why are all of Jow Forums so against cereal?

Did you all get raped by a cereal executive as kids?

Not a lot of dietary science is set in stone. An absolute fuck ton of nutritional epidemiology is absolute garbage science due to the fact its extremely difficult to get any data that is worth anything. You can't keep a human in sterile, laboratory conditions for lifetimes/long periods of time. As a result you get: lies, mistakes, vastly different lifestyles, different bodily compositions, etc etc and a lot of the findings you see reported are only based in the short term. No data whatsoever whether it'll give you dementia or cancer later in life. The confounding factors are endless.

This is from someone who literally works as a food bioscientist, my work heavily revolves around this type of shit. 5 minutes scouring peer reviewed studies on diet really highlights that no one really knows fucking anything when it comes to food.

of course there are ways to mitigate that, but a lack of phytonutrients (including anthocyanins) will probably not help you in the long run.

Am skelly, should I eat breakfast?

>raped by a cereal executive as kids?
No by Cap'n Crunch

Do you have any other sources? The one you posted is a study done by questionnaire, so I have trouble believing its results haven't been obscured by many other variables that may not have been exposed in the participants feedback.

there is counterevidence to that idea but
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28978421
it's not likely that you're doing your diet right, most people even fail with basic dieting. especially when you're trying to build muscle, it may be helpful to include some carbs

observational studies help us understand how the concept of lower carb dieting is actually implemented in humans outside of labs. I see your point that you've made, but keto in the sense of the carnivore diet or those that involve zero carbs cannot be as healthy like a diet that includes phytonutrients

I suggest that you leave the scientific studies alone for a while.

>but keto in the sense of the carnivore diet or those that involve zero carbs cannot be as healthy like a diet that includes phytonutrients
Why not?

Why do you insist on this vague term "phytonutrients". Plant foods may be healthy, but you need to provide concrete evidence of this fact. Self-reported evidence from a layperson is different from someone who makes a conscience decision to follow a specific diet and I don't think the results can be generalized like you are doing.

*Conscious

BAsed

because phytonutrients have been proven to increase all markers for health.

Second shift workers :^)

well what would you recommend
