Stop it with all these retarded abbreviations. "5/3/1", "1/2/3/4", "PPL", GOMAD, SS, etc. I have no fucking clue what any of these things mean. Will you lazy bastards just type it all out so everyone can understand?

1/2/3/4 is literally a meme abbreviation, in case you didn't know.

Okay I'll ask, I've been lurking here like two weeks, what's 1234 all about and why can't anyone do it?
1/2/3/4 = 1 bar/2 hands/3 fingers/4 20kg plates
a special kind of training
>Okay I'll ask, I've been lurking here like two weeks, what's 1234 all about and why can't anyone do it?
1 pl8 for OHP / 2 pl8 for bench / 3 pl8 for deadlift / 4 pl8 for squat
Have you considered it may be you who is lazy for not learning the basic abbreviations of the board?
kys dyel
Thanks for the real answer.
>320 lb. squats
RIP muh knees
>3 pl8 for deadlift / 4 pl8 for squat
Shouldn't it be the other way around?
>Hey guys, I managed to do all of these: 60 kg overhead press, 100 kg bench press, 140 kg squat and 180 kg deadlift!
Yeah, well fucking done OP. Now it definitely doesn't look retarded as fuck.
For most people, yes. However squat world record is higher than deadlift WL.

in equipped powerlifting federations where they use knee wraps and squat suits
5/3/1 is literally the name of the program, it's not an abbreviation. You fucking Neanderthal
Not sure if bait
This isn't r/fitness buddy u have the wrong place
5/3/1 is a program retard
lurk and wait for someone else to ask the question you fucking retard
5/3/1 = an intermediate strength routine
1/2/3/4 = a strength standard of 60kg overhead press, 100kg bench, 140kg squat, 180kg deadlift or the equivalents in lbs
PPL = Push Pull Legs, a common body building style routine
GOMAD = gallon of milk a day, "diet" advice for skinny kids that can't gain weight and are too lazy/stupid to count calories
SS = Starting Strength, a beginner strength routine
gottem
only because once you bloatmaxx enough to set squat WR you fuck your leverages for deadlift (power gut gets in the way)
The sticky is getting old. 1/2/3/4 is rather new, and 5/3/1 got popular the last couple of years. Jow Forums is mostly dead and anyone who wants to work out properly goes to Jow Forumsfitness.

As opposed to Eddie's raw 500kg pull?
I've been lurking here for 2+ hours a day, for 2 months, and I still only get a fraction of the terminology, and I'm too lazy to search most of it up.
GOMAD: Gallon of milk a day, it's a dirty bulking strategy
SS:Starting strength, it's a beginners program.
SS + GOMAD: Jow Forums meme, I dont know why though...
Lurk more fag
I'm normally a lurker, I just figured that since OP and I are both nufags, it'd be more acceptable for me to post here.
