Would pic related be good for 220$? Any good quality cheaper bars with weights? Figured it's finally time to invest in a home gym since I live in Ridgecrest and our gyms are fucked rn. Kind of tight on a budget since my hours got fucked from everything being fucking broken.

I’ve got a shit barbell, plates don’t really matter. You should be fine.

Not bad.

Looks good man

Thanks bros I'll probably cop this.

Make another post once it comes in and tell us how it is

york makes good shit, just keep in mind buddy boy that the shipping is like 100 bucks because it's so heavy.

where are you buying it, all my best gym gear I got used off craigslist

Bought basically the same set for that price, but just because whatever was on craigslist had too few plates, otherwise woulda gone that way.

Will do, but probably gonna be a while

Yeah it ended coming up as 400 with shipping. I'll have to work another week and I should be able to get it.

I'm in Ridgecrest. I looked at Bakersfield Craigslist and theres only a few that look at ok but the bare minimum or are priced higher then what they're actually worth.

Dick's has a 300 lb set, there's one in Bakersfield

For $210

I saw that one. It's pretty tempting but I feel like I'm gonna spend a shit ton of money on something long term like a barbell I might as well get the cast iron and I know fitness gear is like the great value of weight brands. It's still my last resort option though if I really need a mediocre set of weights.

I bought it a while back. The plates are smaller than standard size

>ridgecrest
enjoy 8.0 magnitude quake while repping a bench pr and the bar falls right on your neck

Yeah idk who decided to put a Naval base on a fucking fault line. Luckily I wasn't in town but my room was absolutely trashed when I got back.

Huh. It seems similar to the one I bought in the link, but I remember paying way less for it, maybe it was black friday

For a home gym a fitness barbell is really nice but it weighs less and usually doesn't come with the weights

if you're willing to spend that much get a rogue bar and source plates from somewhere else broski.

The one from Dick's is Fitness Gear:

I just remeasured just to make sure, and the 45s are 15.5 inches in diameter. Olympic standard is 17.71 inches (450mm). The bar is also really crappy. The sleeves bolt on, and they loosen the bolts with use. I replaced mine pretty quickly. Even discounting the bar, it's still way less than $1/#, so it's still a decent deal for the weights alone, if smaller than standard doesn't bother you. I have other weights of standard size, so size wasn't a problem for me, either.

Yeah it sounds like crap. They might have Olympic bars and plates for cheaper than what he's gonna order with shipping, I didn't check

if you're waiting anyway, keep browsing used ads

i managed to pick up 400lbs of competition bumpers for $200 a while back
