Has your political views changed after you started working out?

Has your political views changed after you started working out?

No

I wasn't a nigger faggot to begin with

I've definitely become more right wing and more against socialism and communism
but I live in a really left wing area so I have to hide my power level

I became apolitical after I started working out, actually

same. Coworkers are always talking politics, I just avoid conversation with them because I know I'm gonna sperg out if they ask for my opinion in the matter.

i went from right wing to centrist because i've learned not to judge other people and to, instead, focus on myself

>started working out

What is this meme? I started working out regularly at 11, before that I did various sports for fun all the time. Do many people really go like 20 years on Earth without even running around?

How can you feel strongly about something politically if you've never debated people? Not trying to shitpost, just curious. I'm assuming you do this online?

Denying the existence of the spectrum itself implies you're just another side-line'd cuck

Attached: 1456696754892.jpg (1050x700, 167K)

I've debated people irl and also online, but only my absolute closest friends and I would never dream of saying a right wing view at my work
shit is just too hostile nowadays

I don't deny the existence of the spectrum. What are you talking about? I just don't engage

i was never into politics to begin with. No matter what, nothing really changes that significantly and you still live the same life you did 4 years ago

>I just don't engage
>Implying you matter at all
What are you talking about?

Attached: 1456695721150.jpg (320x240, 10K)

Yeah you're on a board full of them. Played sports like soccer and did track all the time, didn't start weights till uni though. Maybe that's what they mean by started working out

playing on the playground and doing team sports is not working out.

Exactly. I don't matter in the grand political scheme, and so talking about it feels fruitless. There's also no way to half all the information on a given subject, so you never have a nuanced enough opinion
I used to be very political. It's just another form of escapism

yeah, i dont really cling to political viewpoints anymore like they're essential to my identity. i definitely dislike certain political viewpoints, but im not going to pretend i know what the ideal minimum wage is or how to best combat climate change or the best foreign policy for china/russia/etc.

My goal has pivoted to now become exactly like Felix from Chapo in both body and mind

I stopped being overtly political and started obsessing over boys and dominating them.

I took the Nora pill

>coworker is a FB-tier libertarian
>he does CrossFit

If you ever express a dissenting opinion to a group in an area where it runs counter to the majorities’ opinion, it doesn’t generate debate. It creates a figurative and sometimes literal Lynch mob. People don’t want to arrive at the truth. They want to ram their preconceived notions down your throat

How do you challenge your beliefs then?

op here, yes,I meant when you started lifting.

yes, when I began working out I was a neo-nazi, now I support reparations, open borders and drink s.oy milk

because where I work people are very left wing including the higher ups and if expose myself as a conservative they're gonna have a field day with me. it's illegal of course, but I don't want to even deal with the trouble. I just want to work, go to the gym and then home.

beliefs are a meme
deal in whatever truths you see in front of you

Attached: 1406730674823.jpg (720x960, 52K)

If you have a decent enough rapport with them and aren't a straight-up Nazi, you'll be okay I think

Age appropriate circuit and cardio training 4 days a week is, though. Won international rowing medals from 13-17. Besides doing tennis, cycling, running, hiking, each several times a month for fun.

I'm more chilled about my political views, while I still believe the same I'm just way less spergy about it. Definetly a good thing. Don't know if I'd attribute it to fitness, but it's an important part for sure.

I became more convinced in that one has the power, the right and the duty to develop and evolve oneself. Besides that I learned to judge people for what they do as individuals and how they are able to cope with the inabilities they bring along. I've started to detest nu-left shit as well as nu-right because they both give dumb and at least partially wrong simple answers to complex problems that best are solved with a pragmatic and solution-focused approach.

Kind of makes you a weird loner in these "maga, nation, race"-vs.-"gender, diversity, globalism"-times, but so it be.

So did my political opinions change from when I was 15? Yes.

This
Politics is one giant black pill, honestly it's futile even to resist until shit actually hits the fan.
I'm just going to make a white family and hope for the best.

Attached: DgkDGf3U8AAdtcA.jpg (500x523, 60K)

Yes. I used to be generic center-left but now I'm slowly swallowing the Zizek-pill. The world today is a crazy place with sjws, neoliberals and regressives fucking the world up while using e.g. refugees and weed to direct our attention away from REAL issues, and hard left-wing economic policies are the only way to save us all from this capitalist nightmare.

>liberal growing up
>got more conservative and libertarian leaning in college
>see how labor gets screwed in the work force across the board
>now a staunch progressive

no, I'm not a Nazi, I consider myself a centrist-right, but the people I work with are straight up commies I shit you not. Getting into a debate isn't gonna do anything, but get them angry and call me a nazi.

define progressive?

don't worry fewer than 1% of people talking about the correct minimum wage know fuck all about it, same as all political topics
the idea is that through democracy all the noise cancels out and the people who do know what's right tend to steer the ship since they go in the same direction. but who knows how well that really works.

>If you have a decent enough rapport with them and aren't a straight-up Nazi, you'll be okay I think
this just isn't true anymore. and what's "a straight up nazi" has become increasingly broad and vague so that all 4 of my grandparents would be considered nazis by some on the left despite 2 of them having actively killed nazis in ww2.

>training
when someone says working out, they mean going to the gym and lifting weights. Training means you did something repetitively and got better at it. Working out is training but training is not working out. Unless your definition of working out is the same as training, then you would probably say, "You want to go train?" In which case people would ask what type of training.

Does cardio, bodyweight, aerobics, and other stuff like that not count as working out?

Thinking about voting for Trump next election, last election it was Johnson or nothing.

eh, nothing wrong with judging others

I became right wing before I started getting into better shape. Still right wing and I'll murder a socialist before I vote for one

i just want to be the best i can be. acknowledging that other people are weak or stupid doesn't help me at all so i see no point in comparing myself to them

Attached: 1563106794418.jpg (720x573, 18K)

I am not denying anything, but I am very suspicious when it comes to studies published by some journalist in media outlet and call it truth, since this same study can be conducted with a political agenda behind it.

However, if gym and getting fit changes anything on someone than it maybe because the person puts emphasis on their own well being, which plays into a civic virtue and thus onto the idea of individual responsibility of one own well being.
aka Working out alone and achieving 1/2/3/4 that is your own doing enforces the idea that it in order to achieve then it is a individual climb and not the one of collective as Socialist ideologies are.

A faggot

For me it was the other way around. I lost faith in my leftist views, drifted to the right and then started getting Jow Forums.

Screencaps of research journals don't get nearly as many (You)'s

>you want to go workout?
If you use that term to mean cardio or calisthenics, then yes it would mean working out. It generally depends on you and your situation. If you did football in grade school and one of your teammates asks if you want to go workout, does this mean you go practice football or actually hit the gym?
By default, to me at least, it means go lift weights. When someones asks if I want to go train, it means some respective sport.

Same. I used to be very Jow Forums, but now I've almost totally abandoned the concept of political belief.
If there's a competition, strong beats weak. Beautiful beats ugly. And so on.
Political belief is pointless when you're in a fight, or when you're trying to impress someone, or trying to get a job done. In fact, it's pointless for almost every imaginable purpose.
Having political beliefs only decides which side you'll be on when having meaningless debates.

Look at the OP picture for example. The actual meaningful information contained in that pic is "strong man good, pajama man bad."
The headlines are irrelevant. Anyone can say "my group good, other group bad."
What's the lesson? Make yourself into a strong man, and people will like you.

>Do many people really go like 20 years on Earth without even running around?

Well yeah, you can always see it especially on progress posts that some people just started lifting while being decently athletic to begin with, and the others just started lifting as their first physical activity. That's why there's often different ideas how much someone should lift after some amount of time, some guys really start from 0 and it takes them longer to progress to a certain point.

i sperg out just to sperg out sometimes at work
pretty fun to debate people
my rants also somehow got me a qt hippie vegan gf but I'm also ENTP so I can get away with it thanks to my autistic charm

I just vote out of spite now

I voted Trump out of spite after the Carl the cuck and aids skrillex video came out and now I'd vote for Yang if he gets the nomination, Trump again if not

sounds pretty fascist buddy

based

You made a very informed and responsible decision that affects your nation after watching a video of YouTube. Good job, user, I am glad we have dutiful citizen such as you

Recently got back into it. A few things I’ve noticed:
>aversion to black people
I grew up in predominantly black neighborhoods, had black friends and girlfriends. I was often the token white guy and even had many classes in middle and high school where I was the only white guy. I’ve been treated equally shitty by whites and blacks. But lately I’ve just been noticing how shorty blacks are. I don’t hate them, but I don’t think we belong in the same society together. There is absolutely great black people, as well as shitty low iq white people. But the majority is what counts here. Idk how to put my exact thoughts and feelings on this into words, but what I’m trying t okay is in starting to notice exactly how trash tier black people tend to be. On one hand I care because I can clearly remember a time that race meant very little and I barely noticed ones color. But on the other idgaf because this seems like it’s clearky the reality of shit

One side wants to takes 33% of my money for things I don't want or agree with and the other side wants to take 37% of my money and do things I don't want or agree with. It's all just so shit.

Yeah, if there would be no Americans with low attention span then we might actually come to some sort of discussion

Attached: 1559365957061.jpg (750x738, 92K)

Do your own research. If you honestly want to be open to all possibilities, you're going to do a better job of finding good information challenging your beliefs than what you'd get from your average shreaking protester. Talking to most people, especially face to face, about political issues is fruitless.

I also voted for Trump because I knew his administration would make the H1-B visa requirements much more stringent (which his administration did), penalize/go after China (which it did), and reduce America's international involvement in foreign conflicts (which it did not)

anything was better than Clinton in 2016. But I actually got motivated to vote for him out of spite

one of the reasons I absolutely could not possibly vote for hillary is how much I hate the idea of political dynasties
2 george bushes... 2 clintons.. and then in canada there's 2 trudeaus. there was even a 3rd bush making a stand and he might have been able to do it if he wasn't a huge joke.
pretty dangerous shit. you need to protect against that quite strongly.

Brainlet

Please dont use deragatory terms

nah

Let me blackpill you.
It does not matter who you elected as President.
Trump being in office has not changed anything whatsoever. If Hillary would have won, it is my observation that the course your nation would not change to any degree, her presidency might have been without less scandals and that's it.
Trump is an actor after all, do not ever forget it.

>was a bernie bro
>start working out 6 times a week
>realize Yang makes more sense

Yangchads where we at?

unironically same

Monarchy is the natural way. Stupid shit like presidents and PMs only encourages shadow government through political dynasties and secret societies because in the end, that's the only way to start something 15 years ago and finish it 10 years from now with such retarded term limits

Same. So many rabidly leftwing people where I live, so I just keep quiet.

Corporatism culture changed because of Trump policies that Clinton wouldn't enact. The economy is really the only thing that can change with different presidencies. Internationally? we're always going to have a hand in other people's business

This. Getting Jow Forums makes you realize how pathetic obsessing over Jow Forums nonsense really is

Yanggang was a psyop or joke depending on when you got in on it. No one actually likes yang, he's either just le ebin asian money man or someone being pushed by discord groups to sow.... discord.
