Tbh, I swim with equipment I think is the same type of stuff used in BUD/S. Fins are all right. Better than the ancient Mares I have. Probably not better than a Cressi or other freediving fins in open water, but they work great in the confines of a pool. The mask is a low volume type. Tight on the face, takes up more peripheral vision, but recommended for freediving.

I just wanted to get laid, so I put on some bullshit sob story about being suicidal, car sick, claustrophobic and whatnot in order to not get in.
It worked. Too good. I can't get in now no matter what I do. The best I could do is shoot with the reserves on weekends. It's my life's greatest regret and greatest shame.
I think I would have made a great soldier and had an awesome career in the military.

I think SEALs represent the majority of the combat operators under SOCOM. Army and Marines have their own large SF units that operate under the Marines and Army (Force Recon and Rangers) but not SOCOM.
SEALs get recognition mainly because of numbers (if a high profile mission is conducted there is a statistically high chance its a SEAL team)
