>been applying 50SPF sunscreen daily since age 20 >now 25 yo, started using 100+SPF instead every time I go out >started applying Retinol cream every single day also >eat healthy (salads etc) >sleep plentifully >0 alcohol and no drugs ever >lift 5+ times a week
I still look 17-18 years old and my skin is gorgeously beautiful, far better looking than anyone else I've ever seen. I fully expect to be able to mingle and date 18 year olds when I'm 40+. Why aren't you taking care of your skin as well as I am? It will never come back if you let it go you know.
my skin is beyond repair but I'll probably start using sunscreen everyday, cannot wait until stem cell therapy rejuvenates skin one day.
Noah Fisher
30 years old, people still ask me if i turned 18. Never used sun screen.
Dominic Bailey
pretty sure spf above 100 doesnt work better than 50, you need to re apply the cream if you want better coverage also post skin
Oliver Wright
I HATE ALL YOU SUNSCREEN USERS. YOU LITTLE FUCKS FLUSH MICRO PLASTIC INTO THE OCEAN ONLY BECAUSE YOU FOR MILLIONS OF YEARS AND NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THE SUN IS DANGEROUS. JUST LISTEN TO YOURSELF FUCKING ANXIOUS SUBHUMANS.
Ayden Cook

Landon Walker
>pretty sure spf above 100 doesnt work better than 50
Literally wrong. I suspect this bullshit is pushed by cosmetics companies because their lineups don't (yet) include products with SPF above 50. SPF100 offers 10(!) times better protection than SPF50. And yes, you obviously need to reapply sunscreen regardless of SPF.
anyone know of a product that uses zinc oxide instead? the shit that is higher than like 30spf absorbs into your blood stream and they don't know what the long term effects are
Isaiah Rogers
that's because you're probably a manlet.
Liam Ramirez
Fucking white skinned subhuman. I hope one day you will all be gone.
By the time you're 40 you'll be so out of touch with the youth. Implying by then random 18 year old's would want anything to do with some 40+ year old just because he has nice skin, they'd rather fuck chads around their own age.

You're painting with excessively broad strokes friend. There's (or will be) many mentally unstable girls, girls into older men, girls with daddy complexes, girls who want men with money etc. by the time I'm 40. Obviously not all of them will be willing to fuck me. But plenty will. And I'm boosting my chances by looking as young as possible. You can't win 'em all. But you can win some.
John Wright
implying girls with mental issues care if you have a few wrinkles, but your right having good skin does help but it's not the most important thing in the mind of a female.

Post the peer reviewed studies friend. You won't find many (any).
I'll be over here with the thousands upon thousands of studies showing UV radiation is what actually gives you cancer
Alexander Clark
when it comes to sun protection whenever SPF 50 which gives 98% protection, or SPF 100 which gives 99%, you're just overpaying. feel free to listen to ((studies))

Matthew Jenkins
What part of "10 times better" do you not understand? We have 98% the same genes as fucking goldfish, do you think there's no difference? Any, and I mean any amount of sunburn is indicative of skin damage, which is something you want to minimize in order to not look like Emperor Palpatine by 35
Yeah, but looking younger than you are lets you lie about your age. Which expands you potential dating pool. See where I'm going with this?
Alright buddy.
Jace Hughes
im actually a very pale person and have been using spf since i was 15 in order to not get sunburnt, i'm 22 now and still have amazing pale skin and havent had a sunburn (i check everyday) since then. I also use it during winter, as anyone should. they dont even sell spf above 50 at the stores here in austria
Samuel Hughes
why not just spend money on escorts if you are so into females, you don't live in muttland right? just go in Europe and live in a decadent city like Prague or Amsterdam when your older and have your pick of 18 year old whores. dating is a waste of time and is too much of a hassle plus interdependent women will drain your life energy.

You're doing good brah. SPF100 isn't widely available yet, I import mine from Freedomland with Amazon. SPF50 is fine if you don't spend too much time outside in the summer desu.
You're probably right to be honest. It's still good knowing that I'm attractive to women though. Helps the self-esteem.
Do share. I'm always looking for skincare advice.

pale user from austria, i carry hand desinfectant with me and my face spf (i dont get why people put the body kind on their faces, it makes my eyes hurt) with me at all times. first i sit down on a bench somewhere outside and desinfect my hands, then i apply the spf and wait a couple minutes for it to set in. i get stares, but skin cancer runs in my family and i dont want to go through that.
Oliver Jones
How do you apply these products? Do you rub it 'till it's no longer visible or do you go around with a thin oily layer on your face?
t. autist
Aiden Wright
You should ideally apply 15 minutes before going out in the sun to give it time to be absorbed.
You're supposed to use a quarter sized amount for your face. Most of them won't make it oily, it really depends on the sunscreen though.
Adrian Bennett
Tretinoin, moisturiser & sunscreen are all you need.
Ryan Smith
this was literally a tip on how to re apply or do you apply only before you go out?
Henry Howard
rub it in, a thin enough layer will be enough for total protection, but also be nearly invisible on the skin. most physical sunscreens do leave a slight white cast though.
>I fully expect to be able to mingle and date 18 year olds when I'm 40+

Do you not tan at all? Are you super pale because of this?
Kayden Garcia
>ecological harm mineral sunscreens (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) don't cause any ecological harm, that's only the chemical sunscreens that you're talking about.
and mineral sunscreens are also much better tolerated on people with sensitive skin. avobenzone (a common chemical sunscreen ingredient) stings the fuck out of me if I ever put that shit on my face, so I use mineral sunscreens exclusively.
Austin Allen
not the OP, but there's no reason to tan as I don't find it aesthetically pleasing and I like my white skin as it is actually. I'm not as naturally pale as the nordics though, cus I'm a light-skinned mediterranean dude. but again, I'm very light-skinned for a med and I don't see any reason to want to darken my skin, pic related.
white skin is beautiful, stop trying to be something you're not.

>sunscreens that similarly don't clog skin? I'm not sure honestly since I personally don't get breakouts using them so I can't really recommend anything from personal experience. pic related claims to be "non-comedogenic", but is that actually the case for your skin? who knows until you try it. basically, if I were you I would look for mineral sunscreens (zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide) that specifically advertise as being "non-comedogenic" and try them out. it might take a couple of tries before you find the one that behaves properly with your skin though, so you're just going to have to experiment a bit with different formulations/brands.
also, it should go without saying but make sure you're actually being pro-active as it concerns your acne anyway. if you struggle with acne and you haven't already, you should be using a benzoyl peroxide (in a wash or leave-in form) daily, that will help tremendously. perhaps a combination of pro-active efforts + "non-comedogenic" sunscreens will solve the problem.
thanks! it took a long time to get here, but I'm glad I finally did.

What do you think are at parties dickhead? Having a "pretty boy" face won't fix a boring personality and certainly not get OP any 18 year old ass, but I'd like to hear you out on how 20-25 year Olds have fun that doesn't involve alcohol to some degree
Gabriel Myers
>Having a "pretty boy" face won't fix a boring personality hilarious you mention that because it's precisely the alcohol and the drugs that won't fix a boring personality, buddy. you don't have to drink at parties to have fun, and the fact that you think you need to in order to have fun says a lot more about you than it does about anyone else.
>also, it should go without saying but make sure you're actually being pro-active as it concerns your acne anyway. if you struggle with acne and you haven't already, you should be using a benzoyl peroxide (in a wash or leave-in form) daily, that will help tremendously. perhaps a combination of pro-active efforts + "non-comedogenic" sunscreens will solve the problem. I've went through years of trying benzoyl peroxide, salisylic acid, dermarolling, cleansers, face wash etc, whatever the cause of my acne is these do not help even a little. I've also tried cutting dairy for 6 months, which was a real bitch to do and it likewise did not work. Only reason I don't hop on accutane is because the acne is minor despite being eternal, and given the rest of my body's propensity for keratosis pilaris the last thing I need is to end up with that on my face
Josiah Thomas
I never said you NEED them, and I'm more on about alcohol, which also isn't needed true but fucking helps break the ice especially if you're a bit quiet. Why do you think people drink especially at parties? Because small talk after 20 minutes is boring. How do you go explaining to your friends if you have some? I imagine they won't invite a dude just standing on his phone sober while everyone is drinking having fun
Joshua Ward
Don't use bezoyl peroxide. That shit is garbage.
It is counterintuitive, but you NEED to give your skin the moisture is wants and deserves. Hardcore acne products that dry your face out do not work longterm, because they just encourage your fact to increase oil production and slow down the turnover of dead skin cells, which only prolongs your acne.
I use a salicylic acid product that is delivered as a dry oil. It's expensive, but has made a huge difference in my skin (Sunday Riley UFO). There are similar products out there if you are willing to spend the money. Also try a retinoid serum.
Anything with acne-fighting properties should be delivered to your skin via an oil, serum, etc. The active ingredients do their job fighting your acne, and the oil and/or serums keep your skin well moisturized. Invest in a decent (non comedogenic) moisturizer as well.
You can also try mild exfoliants. I particularly like: Dark Angels, Ocean Salt, and Cup O' Coffee from Lush, even though I HATE walking into Lush (due to how annoying the employees are).
You can also do an occasional at-home exfoliating acid peel. I use the Ordinary's AHA+BHA peel once every two weeks, followed by a moisturizing face mask.
Carter Ortiz
>benzoyl peroxide, salisylic acid, dermarolling, cleansers, face wash etc, whatever the cause of my acne is these do not help even a little. that's unfortunate, friendo. honestly, the only thing I can think of is to try a retinoid [tretinoin, adapalene (OTC brandname "Differin"), etc], but retinoids are also pretty rough to start with and most people can barely stomach that beginning period. I still have not started on tretinoin, but I'll be starting it sometime in the future mostly for its anti-aging properties. but retinoids are pretty much the most effective thing at curbing acne in conjunction with proper skin care/health (which basically means making sure you're moisturizing for the most part, don't give your skin a reason to produce excess sebum which is what your skin does in response to drying out).
>I never said you NEED them then why are you bitching at me for saying I don't need to drink and do drugs to have fun? >Why do you think people drink especially at parties? Because small talk after 20 minutes is boring. again, this is the "telling on yourself" portion of your post. yes, small talk can be boring, but getting shitfaced is not a replacement for developing social skills and learning how to hold a conversation or becoming a more well-rounded person and having interesting things to talk about that involve hobbies, interests, etc.
also, "small talk becomes boring" often happens when you're talking to and pursuing people that you don't really jive well with to begin with. that's your first clue that perhaps you guys aren't really that compatible.
Jayden Nelson
>American "broad spectrum" sunscreen
That's a yikes from me dawg. You know that SPF label only applies to the UVB rating, right? The protection factor for UVA is just a teeny fraction of that. You're wrinkling and aging when you only have a teeny bit of coverage where it counts.
Get some Japanese or European sunscreen with a PA++++ rating to get adequate UVA protection.
Also you have a UV tint on your car, right? You know those sunscreens have to be reapplied every hour, thick for the claimed protection, right dawg? Right? You're not putting it on in the morning and thinking you're fine all day?
It's like you don't want to make it.
Logan Smith
No. For one SPF 100 offers only twice the protection of SPF 50. SPF 50 blocks 98% of UV, SPF 100 blocks 99%. Oops, and that rating only corresponds to UVB. "Broad spectrum" creams don't have that level of protection for UVA in the US, just some smidgen of protection
Secondly, and importantly, those claimed SPF ratings are calculated only when the sunscreen is laid on thick- most people don't put in enough and so the SPF ratings are kind of meaningless and misleading. In practice people get way less, and the higher the SPF the more likely people are going to be half-assed with their application. This is why the FDA has capped SPF claims that can be made on most labels, because labeling something SPF 200 or whatever is meaningless as to how people usually put it on.
Thirdly, you have to reapply every hour anyways for that protection so it hardly matters. Also you're supposed to use a shotglass worth of sunscreen to cover your body. Every hour. So expect to spend a good $20-30 in sunscreen for a day at the beach.
Look, sunscreen is better than no sunscreen. But reducing the time you're in the sun, and covering yourself with clothing/hats/a sub umbrella to block the rays is the best first line of defense.
If your personality matches well with an 18 year old when your in your 40's you have very clearly not made it.
I'm 25 and back in school, I've been taking care of my skin + good genes so I still look young as fuck. The age difference is already pretty significant for me. including what that other guy said about 50 blocking 98% and 100 blocking 99%, not only are you wasting money, but to get ultraviolet protection higher means they will use more chemicals. Of course these chemicals can be approved by the fda to be safe but thats in the same way that a cheeseburger can be considered safe. It wont kill you but its not good for your skin to be constantly absorbing stuff.
