Healthy snacks

>come from a fa/t/mily
>like 90% of the snack food in this house are sugary carbs
>graham crackers
>infinite amounts of cookies
>endless types of bread

I just got home from the gym, starving, with dinner hours away, and I pounded down about 9 cookies and handfuls of popcorn because pretty much all that's in the house.

What can I buy? Are nature valley bars w/ pb ok? I'll eat baby walnuts, carrots and green apples, but I'm not nuts about them, especially with the sugary stuff around.

wat do

>Are nature valley bars w/ pb ok?
Okay for gaining weight.

what are some good snacks then?

>nature valley bars
aren't those 50% sugar?
snack on fruits/nuts

If I eat too many apples/bananas/pears too frequently then I'll get sick of them and never want to eat them again. Oranges/grapes don't fill you up, and I don't like other fruit.
As for nuts, you can't eat too many of those per day unless you want your shit to come out like molasses filled with broken glass.
What are some other options?

bars are GARBAGE

not saying I won't eat the above, but I usually don't eat full meals, I mostly just graze throughout the day until dinner. And I need food, breh.

Water or quark.

Fasting
Stop fucking spiking your insulin the whole day you food addict

how much do you eat LOL, snacks aren't replacement for full meals
>wah wah I'll get sick of them
fuck off /fat/

>considering food bars

If you're hungry after the gym, you should eat something with protein. Maybe try a protein shake or some jerky. Carbs are for before you go to the gym.

I'd recommend veggies with some dips, vegans got that one thing right, cucumbers, bell peppers and carrots are great for snacking with cream cheese or hummus as dips

I probably eat in the neighborhood of 2500 - 3000 cal per day. (6 ft 180 lbs, very active)
>eating the same food day in and day out
fuck off, hick. some of us were raised with in cultures with actual standards for food.

None. Why the fuck so you need snacks.

that's not what that post said at all. do you eat the same meals every day or something?

fucking fatties

thanks, for the tip.
idk if protein shakes are for me, and isn't jerky really unhealthy? obv there are tons of high protein options

If you're hungry, eat a proper meal.

If you're not hungry, don't eat.

your body is a machine. drink only protein shakes, plain oatmeal made from water, broccoli, skinless chicken breast, multivitamins, and fish foil from now on.

aren't spreads and condiments like cream cheese high in calories? i just always kind of assumed they were. if i can eat cream cheese as a staple that'd be a game changer.

yea, i just checked, cream cheese has like double the cals as pb

Make your own, its easy. Get a smoker, food dehydrator, or just set your oven to low.

Why would jerky be unhealthy? It's just dried meat. Anyway, any protein source will work.

If youre lifting consistently, and youre cutting calories, protein shakes can be VERY beneficial. When i cut at 1800 cals, its really hard to hit 180-200g protein a day without a shake.

Besides, throw some spinach, kale, fruit in there. Youre at 200-500 calories, and youll be full. Have some willpower dude.

nigger, can you read?
he called me fat for not wanting to eat bananas/apples/pears every single day (cus then I'd get sick of them and not want to eat them anymore).
So no, I don't eat the same stuff every day, he's advocating that I should.

I called you fat because you implied that you eat so much snacks that you get sick of them, that's /fat/ behavior

I eat chicken, dark, greens, and brown rice like twice a day. And ive been doing that for years, and my progress has been incredible, and sustainable. Whats wrong with eating the same thing, every day? You know this is and should be a lifestyle change, right? Give your body optimal fuel. Not every meal has to be decadent.

>200g of protein
everything you say has lost credibility

maybe it's a misunderstanding then. i'm saying that if I had an apple and a banana every single day, then within a week I would get sick of eating them entirely. So I'm looking to expand my options to keep the rotation fresh and thus lower temptation to eat crap.

That's not even 1g/lb for a lot of people. 1g/lb lbm is a pretty standard daily goal for a lot of people here.

Post your body with time stamp and show us what your cultured diet made you look like :)

You can get fat free cream cheese which is usually just protein.

yes, but a lot of people here do tons of dangerously unhealthy stuff like roids and multi day fasts.

>whats wrong with eating the same thing, every day?
im a proud food snob. not every meal has to be decadent, you're right, but I don't eat shit, and I can't eat the same stuff over and over again. I'll get sick of it and that will raise my temptation to eat garbage that you NEVER get sick of (cookies etc..)

As for the dark greens, you should be careful about eating those too frequently. That's how you get stones.

Although brown rice is something I will look into adding to my diet, especially when I get back to college and am allowed to use the kitchen in my own house lol. thanks for the tip

STOP EATING FATTY

user why hasn't he posted his body yet?
I mean, he was so sure about how his cultured diet and his very active life style was superior. Why won't he prove it?

This has to be a fucking joke. How is it even possible to get sick of basic shit that you eat ONE OF a day inbetween meals.

Maybe your actual meals are shit?

i am not autistic, nor am i a hick, so the same food bores me after a while. this is normal. it should not be a revelation. if you eat the same handful of meals for months on end, that's some freakshit and also quite gay.

I've eaten the same lunch for over a year, you are just a fatty who cant separate the hedonistic value of food with the nutritional value
>muh snacks

>implying enjoying food and eating healthy are mutually exclusive
never gonna make it

>the same food bores me after a while.
Eating isn't a hobby, doughboy.

Get bored of breathing and stop.

Who are you quoting?

>jerky
>cottage cheese
>yogurt
>jello
>nut/trail mix (gotta find right blend, look for almonds, no candy)
>sparkling water
>expensive health snacks, beanitos cheeto things etc

>dark leafy greens have oxylates causing kidney stones

Yes you are right but that particular affect by the oxylate is negated in many ways. One of them simply consuming any amount of dairy.
