How the fuck do INTP get started with excersising?

I just found out I'm an INTP and reading about it basically explain my whole life good and bad. My problem is that I have to analyze and optimize every damn thing and it paralyses me. My mind just wont stop going "hmm that's interesting, how can I improve that." or "hmm, I wonder what the mechanism behind that is, lets go on a 8 hour google binge".

I have been reading about lifting for a month, but always get lost in my own mind thinking about it rather than doing it. I have done a few workout sessions (cardio and calisthenics), but I can't turn off my brain even during running and just analyze everything I do and thinking stuff like "No, this is probably not the most optimal way to do it". I feel like this destroy my ability to push myself. Any other INTP's who managed to deal with this? Please share your recipe.

the only "optimal" way of doing it is being consistent, day in day out banging the reps and trying hard. Anything you want to optimize will only be useful if done on top of that.
Tons of guys got strong/good being totally clueless, just because they loved what they did and did it hard all the fucking time.
Experience trumps theory.

Do whatever you want each time and you'll eventually figure it out. It is the best way anyway. Better than listening to fat midwesterners.

You lack discipline likely. Get your ass to the gym. Work out. Improve on your lifts, improve on your form and repeat day after day. Being an INTP will help you get the proper form without any tutoring. Simply, over time you'll get better. You're not a constant, you are a variable just like anyone else. Being INTP helps you figure that out more than any other type, for you don't have social factors holding you back, unless you are in an unhealthy relationship with your mom. If you are, cut that shit out.

Just go out there and start lifting. Personality test means jack shit. Sating you can't go to the gym because of your personality is as pathetic as hambeast saying she's genetically predisposed to being fat.

All you have to do is drill it into your brain, exercising is one of the few things where more effort is always and necessarily related to more reward. Pain = gain, it is the epitome of bruteforcing, as long as you're not doing things in a retarded way. If you're distracted by thoughts, try listening to music that pumps you while exercising.

That isn't actually a big-brained way to look at it. Lots of things are really just our best guess model for how things work.
So you should assess whether or not it has any predictive power, does it seem to point the way to how things actually are?

I know why you say that but I don't think it's quite the same.

For example the first letter is I/E for introversion or extroversion. It's objectively true that people differ in that trait and it's not bullshit that you could create a rough measure of how extroverted vs introverted people are and get a rough accuracy.

It's objectively true that the people that use Jow Forums that do these tests strongly trend towards getting INTJ and INTP results which are rare in the general populace.

Take a sheet of paper, write on it "I AM AN INTP", then go to a gym. Or running. Or whatever you want to do.

Then use your "INTP superpowers" to realize that you can also skip the first part.

One of the things that's helped me is to realize one drop of experiencial knowledge is worth buckets of theory and book knowledge. And experiential knowledge requires action.

'Wrestling with god' so to speak is where the growth is.

Aside from what other people have already said, let me give you a piece of advice from someone who is (probably, have never taken the test) an INTP and DEFINITELY suffers from over-analyzing things

you are going to be put into situations in life, professionally or personally, where progress will demand that you execute an action without question and on a timehack, and your only process of mind during this time can be that you will execute the task, aka just fucking do it, no questions asked

it can be hard, it can be difficult, but you must learn it, there is a time to analyze and sit back and overview things and there are times when you just have to fucking go in and do it, its not going to be perfect, its not going to be optimal, but you cannot let your personality get the better of you and you have to man the fuck up and execute the task

this. INTP here. In order to pay for school I joined the National Guard. Went infantry. Not necessarily a good choice for an INTP. One of the most important things I tell myself when doing my gay soldier larp on the weekend is "you can only game out so much." It is easy to spend so much mental energy with what ifs. I will autistically pack my ruck and have it perfectly organized. Then I am given 20 different items to throw in there at the last minute. System ruined. Use your autistic brain when it is beneficial. Other times you just need to do a little prep, accept that things aren't going to be perfect, and then take action.

In other words just go workout, autist.
