How cold the water should be in order to get all the benefits from it?
Cold showers
Always thought it was a placebo, but for me at least, anything that keeps you from simply standing under the water like a retard for half an hour is good.
scolding retarded hot water on your head for half an hour is bad for you hair
cold showers are good for not being a bitch and making your skin clearer
that's about it
worth desu ngl yeah!
also you sweat less!
>the colder the better
If the shower head isn't dispensing snowflakes, it's too warm.
"And that's why it's ok to not ever go outside of my comfort zone"
Fuck niggers, kikes, and jannies.
>makes assumptions so they can arbitrarily put others down instead of seeing the joke

Cold water when I was in New York was sufficient. Couldnt even get it to the coldest setting.
Cold enough that it makes you very uncomfortable. The colder the better.
Just turn on the cold water tap. That's what I do
>Not suffering through the evaporative cooling
You're not going to make it
Below 12 degrees centigrade, so just crank the water to cold as possible.
Funny enough cold showers are harder than ice baths.
What actually are the benefits of cold showers?
>not having your water heater replaced with a liquid nitrogen tank
>having a water heater
>not a absolute zero dispenser
baka my boy
>try cold showers
>get insane headache and neckpain every time
i won't make it lads
Kinda related I didn't want to make a new thread for this
Is optimal to take a cold shower right after a workout? or should I let my muscles cooldown first with time
Lower power bill
Based high-test routine.
If you go from hot to cold too fast you might end up getting a nosebleed. It's not a serious issue or anything but I don't recommend immediately hopping to ice cold.
Cold showers will give you body acne in the long term. I know this from experience by listening to Jow Forums. Cold closes your pores and hardens oil on your skin and soap doesn't rinse off properly.
Start hot and clean yourself, finish with cold. Wow, that was hard.
That's just wasteful for a few meme benefits.
Frequent quick temperature shifts is bad for your immune system. You're slightly increasing your risk for getting sick, basically. But that's all I can think about.
Have it at the coldest setting to start off with. You need to wake up the cells immediately so you feel energised and ready to take on the day.
This man is soft, a product of the modern age. Pity him.
This. Cold tanks your immune system.
I have to wake up early to get into work at 5am. Cold showers keep me from standing like a zombie taking in the hot water like a faggot for 15 minutes as I slowly wake up.
The only real benefit is from long term learning to handle the stress of the cold water. So really any degree of cold that makes you uncomfortable is good. Probably better to not go super cold to be honest that will generate too much cortisal and ruin gains and stress you out leading to other undesired results. Get it to a temperature that has you wanting to get out but you can handle it and focus on accepting the cold and in fact eventually enjoying it. Go lower and lower from there.
Cold water is meme, the trick is no extreme temperatures, neither icy or hot. Use minimal products and only shower in lukewarm water for max 5 min after every workout.
based best routine
>Cold water is meme,
Wim Hoff shits ice cubes right in your mouth.
Sure it can be used to train incels to handle som stress/trauma but it does nothing for health.
>not deadlifting yourself into the outer atmosphere to bathe in absolute cold of space
>not alternating between icy cold and scorching hot water to confuse your cortisol levels.
ngmi
>Sure it can be used to train incels to handle som stress/trauma but it does nothing for health.
Your body being able to deal with stress/trauma does nothing for health? Huh. Interesting. Tell us more!
>not bathing in red hot boiling lava and inmediatly antartic absolute zero cold to temper your body
baka
Cold water on my head makes me dizzy
Cold enough where you are somewhat afraid to step into the stream.
Wakes you up.
>not starting mid temperature, raising to hot and then rinsing/finishing off with cold
Why arent you Roman bath showering?
I must have a cold shower after full body lifting and the following day as well.
it activates fat burning and improves healing
Probably not cold enough. I get all tingly for hours after swimming in a freezing lake.
As cold as you can make it.
>t. Stoic
go on google scholar and look it up for yourself
to sum it all up, the cold is your best friend
>weight loss / burning fat
drinking cold water significantly elevates the resting energy expenditure (REE), same goes with showering or a cold bath
>fights all kinds of tumors
daily brief cold stress can increase both numbers and activity of peripheral cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and NK cells, the major effectors of adaptive and innate tumor immunity
>fights hair loss
Persistent use of cold pillow compress could reduce hair follicles inhibition or damage caused by chemotherapeutic agents. So alopecia can be decreased or prevented.
>best anti depression med
Antidepressive effect of cold shower attributed to presence of high density of cold receptors in skin expected to send an overwhelming amount of electrical impulses from peripheral nerve endings to the brain. It has significant analgesic effect and it does not cause dependence or noticeable side effects
>strenghtens your immune system
Repeated cold water stimulations reduced frequency of infections
>brings your body to high performance
Cold water immersion (CWI) induces significant physiological and biochemical changes in the body such as increase in HR, BP, metabolism, and peripheral catecholamine concentration; and decrease in cerebral blood flow.
so,... all fat, stupid, bald and ugly people shower warm - all beautiful, healthy, smart and fit people shower cold
sauce?
>stress/trauma isn't connected to health
has to be bait
