I was wondering guys, that if you exervise 5-6 days a week, do your cardio and shit, be a very healthy individual and all, can binging on candy once in a while be a good thing for your body?
I have been eating very low carbs for the past few months but it’s becoming boring and I started treating myself with pancakes for breakfast every three days or a pack of chocolate. Can this be as bad as some people say it is? Or can this abundance of sugar be good for you every now and then?

hell no

Dark chocolate, I mean 70% and up, actually has health benefits. Other than that, no.

Yes, it helps to replenish your glycogen.
It' also good to reward yourself once in a while - helps your nervous system too.

Why? I don’t mean binging as in eating 10,000 cals in one sitting for a day. I mean eating a pack of chocolate or some other shit in addition to your other meals while eating 0 sugar most of the time.

the dark chocolate health food connection studies are extremely dubious and the supposed health benefits are minuscule, it's just yet another attempt at candy masquerading as health food

Don't overdo it, just eat a small piece of chocolate a day. You will enjoy it more, and your body will be healthier.

dark chocolate or just pure cacao inhibit myostatin (aka gains goblin protein).
it's still high calorie territory but it won't rape your insulin with sugar and a small piece of chocolate is like 20-40kcal and it's very helpful to stop cravings

Little slip ups become big fuck ups

Maybe the problem here is that you are eating low carbs instead of CICO/IIFYM, and now you are experiencing natural cravings that could easily fit into your calories yet you've embraced a diet that bans them anyway. Maybe the problem here is not eating a little chocolate, but practicing a diet you can't really sustain.

I can sustain this diet. I’ve sustained it for multiple months going from 225lbs to 180lbs less than 10% bf. But that’s not the point. The point is that our bodies need sugar to function. Our brains can’t use anything else but sugar for fuel. So is it really that bad if I replenish my body with sugar every now and then? That’s the question

I just put aside one day a week where I gorge on fast food, junk food, choc, whole 9 yards. Not only has it not affected my health or gains (as far as I'm aware) it also helps keep me sane.

there is absolutely 0 chance to become fat from eating a bit of chocolate if you're not a manlet.

and also if it does get you fat

just fast for a day, its easy as fuck

Yep. It's amazing how if I'm craving a snack or something, just having a cup of coffee/tea or a pint of water, actually makes the snack craving go away.

cheat days are fucking terrible

Doesn't seem to bother the Rock.

Works fine for me, although I've never not done one so maybe it would be better. Figured 1 day where I go all out would be better than 7 days of a bit here bit there.

I eat everyday 100% cacao with a spoon

dark chocolate is toxic, unironically

have you some sources on that?

Cheat days are fine but don’t gorge yourself
