I'm 6'5 for real, not Jow Forums exaggeration, and I felt average height on wall street. I would say I was probably above average overall but I would guess the average to be 6'2-6'3 for men, but with tons of guys 6'6, 6'7, absolutely huge.

people are very fit overall on wallstreet when they're young, the older guys range between really out of shape to really in shape. depends on the role too, traders tend to be extremely fit but bankers much less so. I could write a fair bit about wallstreet, it's actually a pretty fucked up place. I'm quite in shape but I definitely didn't feel above average at all.
I did two internships at a place called five rings capital and then worked at goldman for a bit more than a year on the special situations group as a strat before I fucked off. it was really bad for my peace of mind. part of it was the over-competition on everything. everybody is trying so hard to mog each other, pretty much nobody is ever just chill and satisfied. there's also this constant feeling like you're being left behind or you're missing out. kind of like what some of my friends in silicon valley talk about but I feel it's way worse on wall street. the hours and stress also sucked. I sort of wish I had stuck with it for like 5 years to get enough money to open my own business in something but I'm just too nice of a guy deep down. it's not for me at all.

I'm a high paid autist I can afford it, it's still cheap by my standards. the mountain stuff is what makes me want to go there, I want to live in a nice mountain city but have a white collar autist job. go skiing, play tennis, golf, hiking. I grew up on a farm but have been living in huge megacities for way too long I can't take it anymore.
I'd go to the west coast but places like la, seattle, sf, are all pretty fucked up right now with homeless and drugs I don't want to raise a family there.

Most people in this threat are basically wrong or using self-reported height. The CDC publishes measured anthropometric data on a regular basis: cdc.gov/nchs/data/series/sr_03/sr03_039.pdf

Young white and black men in their 20s and 30s average at about 5'10" while Asian and Hispanic men of the same age group average between 5'7" and 5'8". If you check previous studies, you'll find that the average height for all demographics and age groups has stagnated since the 1980s. This "hurr durr white guys are 5'11" to 6'0" on average" is dumb as hell, I'm slighly over 6'0 (184cm) and considered a tall guy at my majority white university, especially for an Asian.

So basically, the tallest regions will be majority white and black while the shortest will be majority Hispanic and Asian. When I'm at an Asian market, I'm basically taller than 95% of all guys while at my majority white university I'm at the 80th percentile.
