how did you get your tendonitis ?

It's more common for zoomers, because you have weak bitch muscles lol

t. mini boomer

tendonitis is a product of weak tendons to weak ratio, not muscle weakness

unironically BOOMERS yes have higer tendon strenght on average than zoomers but their muscle strenght is not as good as the zoomers (im talking about untrained specimens)

definitely straight bar curls

who the fuck are you? Lmao

someone who lifts and knows a lot about human body

try the ez barbell curls or just plain stop curling, it takes a long time to develop strong forearms tendons to take the loading from straight barbell curls, limit your curls to once a week or switch to dumbells definitely

how much kg are you using

Hammer curls and reverse curls are currently helping my forearm situation after it flared up from moving a bunch of furniture around. Could try that

I could help you, but I hate zoomers.

The information is out there. Here's the hint faggo zoomlet: You got this from doing supinated dumb bell curls or reverse curls with ez curl bar.

Now google and fix yourself.

Reverse curls with the ez bar never flare up my forearm tendonitis. That wide grip is 10/10

>someone who lifts and knows a lot about human body
Sure buddy

yeah i did some hammer curls the other day but even picking up the dumbell with my left arm kinda hurts, i have to contort my arm to avoid pressure
~32kg for 10 reps

>checked
For me, any time force is exerted against my pronated palms the pain flairs up so avoid that and also try icing and massaginf your forearms. Might be knotted up and shit

Uhhh, shouldn't you be in college or something, gramps?

i really dont even know if it's tendonitis, could it be a stress fracture? it kinda feels like a bruise there's no visible swelling or discoloration. it's like if my muscles/tendons move in certain ways they apply pressure on this one spot.

Its not impossible but you'll wanna go through the motions as if it is tendonitis since its more likely unless you want to go get an x ray. I'd say no standard or preacher curls for a week two and see if it feels any better. And massage/lacrosse ball your forearms in various places; knots can be hard to find and could be increasing tension throughout your arms, exacerbating the issue

I went through the samething. The muscles in your forearm that are used primarily for closing your hand (crushing grip) is overly developed compared to the muscles used when you stretch your hand open. That shit hurts.

Get a rubber band and have it around your fingers and stretch your fingers outward. The smaller and thicker the band the harder it is.

stick to dumbells bro and hammers

anyways i recomend you to do pull ups and progress on weighted from there

>anyways i recomend you to do pull ups and progress on weighted from there
why, i mean i already do pull ups but how is that relevant

My 74 year old Dad told me that the secret behind old man strength is that they just don’t give a shit about pain, and work through everything.

I got Tendonosis when i was 23. I got it from rock climbing. Did too much too soon and got "golfers elbow" in both my arms. Epicondyle tendonsis(but not tendonitis, very similar though).

Physiotherapist gave exercises. Had to take an entire year off of deadlifting. Little to know grip work. Lats shrunk till i started incorporating them back slowly. used straps from this day onwards even on light shit or i feel it.
The left arm almost 100% healed. dont feel it much. Right arm though, still got it. Not as bad, but it flares up if im not tot careful. Granted, i did not do my physio enough, or massage it religiously. maybe that would have healed it 100%. This was a 2 year process. im 25 now.

Basically, this shit could be for life. do physio properly and every single fucking day or it wont heal.

I want to add: dont underestimate how long this shit takes to heal. Do not go back to your full loads for MONTHS.
Tendons are the slowest healing tissue in the body. bones heal ten times faster. The cell turnover rate for a Tendon is 575 days. Thats right. They get almost NO bloodflow(hence the white appearance) which means its difficult for the body to carry stuff to it to repair it. You help that by massage.

If you interupt this long healing process by doing too much too soon, at the slight sign of recovery, you will re-damage it and it will start all over again, but worse. Eventually, if you keep doing this, it stops even trying to repair it. This is called Tendonitis. The chronic stage where the body has given up and its for life.

You are likely only in Tendonisis stage atm. Dont fuck around.

> Do not go back to your full loads for MONTHS.
well, i was doing pulldowns and bench presses with it with minimal aggravation. the recover time frame i read online is 2-4 weeks.

Mine used to hurt on bench too. I got it from rock climbing but i was lifting many days per week at the time too.
Is yours on the outside or the inside of the elbow?
My advice, use straps for grip work till its 100% healed. Go light. stop doing anything that causes it to flare up for a month. no less than a month. Lower weight on the rest to a point where on a scale of 1-10 you only feel at max a 3 of pain.
when pain free for a while, try heavier. if pain free, continue slowly ramping up. Tendons take a long time to get strong.

Boomer here. I'm going on 8 months. Most likely got it from jacking off. Didnt realize that would do it. I used to three times a night sometimes. I have the libido of a teenager. I let it go for two months, then got a cortozone shot and didn't lift shit for a month. It flared up shortly after I started activity but I could still lift. Got a compression cuff and was lifting five days a week. Got to the point I could lift without it sometimes. Then out of no where bam, fucking killing me. Forearms tense. I havent lifted in three weeks and it hurts like a bitch still. Have an ortho appointment next week. Stop fapping. Don't do anything in a duck bill pinching motion with your hands. No finger tip to thumb lifts to pick up shit heavier than your phone. I know that motion is what flared it up again.

I have it in both heels too from years of running with pain. Like the user said above, us old guys (44) just work through the shit but we will soon be the old limping grandpa you see struggling in the super market, not the Chad dads we are now.

it's on my left arm about halfway up my ulna opposite side of my palm

Two words: wrist roller
t. did heavy curls for bicep gains and got crippling forearm tendinitis until someone finally told me to work my forearms
