>rest day = house cleaning and chores
my fucking problem is cheat day
>tfw eating one chocolate bar is so good but 3 seconds later you're calculating how much workout sessions you sacrificed for that one bar

No.

>a run counts as a non-rest day

Is it normal to not really feel sore/strained after working out? I only started hitting the gym last week (did some dumbbell curls a while before that) and I still feel my legs from leg day yesterday, and my arms are pretty pumped but other than that my shoulders/chest/anything else doesn't really feel strained or tired at all. I'm lifting as heavy as is doable for me though.

Yes

I only ever get doms after deadlifting on pretty much the entire backside of my body but it only lasts for like a day and it's not too bad, my traps probably feel it the worst

Rest is for the dead and disabled

The only time I get doms is when I don't hit a muscle group or its antagonitst for 8+ days. I went to China this summer, and walked 20 towers along the great wall - friends their legs were utterly destroyed the nex day, whilst I literally didn't feel a thing. They didn't believe me and thought I was bragging, but it was one of the first times I actually noticed increased endurance/stamina from those 2 years of 5 days/week gym-going. Felt really good, since I also wasn't exhausted at the end oif the walk.

Hoping you have a chest night too, if you catch my drift

Yeah I don't really get doms either (except legs) but I mean in the hours directly after working out, I can barely tell I worked out at all

>having a "ch*at day"
Imagine being this fucking stupid.

For me it depends entirely on intensity
If I have to grunt like a wild boar every set, then I'm gonna feel it the next day.
