>been NEET since 09 was 15 >spent a decade off nothing to 100 usd per month >not counting a year at 22 lived on my own since 17 >got so brutally used to living spartan way on cigs, coffee, vodka, wine, beer, weed, music, games, shows, nightwalking that even the thought of exchanging 45% of my LIFE just to have some papers is ridiculous to me >honestly cannot wrap my head around the lifestyle of "normal" people aka paper chasing
What are they chasing after? I see my peers slaving away every single day chasing dat paper but what for? They dont seem any happier than they were 10 years ago only now they have designer clothes, rent their own apartments and some have (cheap) cars.
I am by no means advocating NEET life its not ideal at all but the slave waging is not even comparable to having 24 hours a day to yourself.
I think the one single most important skill/mindset to learn in life is not wanting more but appreciating less.
It's almost like at this point in time (compared to our own timeline) that we have basically hit a dead end and that it's now almost impossible to make it anywhere unless you have an inherent ability to quickly strive through uni or are able to make a living of your own with the tools you have. You're basically useless
Henry Sanchez
I think most young people want to live in the now. I personally will wageslave for my longevity. There is nobody to take care of me today and there wont be anybody when Im old
Evan Myers
neet here, same deal. i just don't really want anything. i don't want to live in a slum and i need some basic essentials, that's pretty much it. the rest is just a bunch of shit i don't need.
Juan Hughes
I don't want the fancy normie material items but I still have things I want in life. I want to drive on my own road trip. I want to go hiking and maybe climb a mountain. I want life experiences that can only happen outside the house, like going on a boat or watching big cranes build a building. it's not like the wage life is fulfilling, but the NEET life is truly empty.
I have made couple thousand dollars as a >frelance translator >making and selling 3d models >royalties off ebook
I also dabbled with daw aka music making.
If i UBI was a thing and i could afford to rent an apartment and not having to LIVE like a cochroach in hostel i honestly believe i could be pretty successful. Not in the "Villa and Bugatti" way but enough to eventually afford my own piece of land, setting up a mobile home, growing my own food some livestock and further pursuing my creative endeavours.
So to summarize i don't exactly agree with you. "Being successful"is still or maybe even more (with all the info you could ever desire at your fingertips) possible than ever. It just depends on your definition of success
James Anderson
Do you also sometimes feel like you operate on a completely different wave/level than the rest of the flock?
Gavin Jackson
OP is based and redpilled people building huge houses from loans are enslaving themselves for nothing id rather live in a small cheap flap cheap car makin money selling drugs or some easy job part time or universal basic income sounds comfy too only travel frens food and drugs worth money nothing else needed
Sounds like you haven't really explored your options. I literally live off 100 usd per month. And i drink 5 coffees a day, smoke over 20 cigs and have at least 9g of weed a month.
It's just a matter of wanting to and making it work. But each to their own, the same way i am used to this lifestyle you are used to being able to afford things you want. But the trade off is not worth it IMO
Leo Martin
I am in a similar situation.
Wagecucked 13 years as retail management, got 8 years worth of savings (600 for rent per month and expenses, $80 minimum on food.) Double that cost and that's how I figured 8 years.
Right now just doing fuck-all cause I don't want to go back to wagecucking with WoW Classic coming very soon, and I've got plenty of fuck-you money to sit on from heavy savings due to being a minimalist.
Honestly, the thing I want most is romantic love. I just want to feel loved and wanted. Expensive things don't matter to me.
Jason Perez
men seem to mostly be driven to succeed because that's what women expect from us. but being average middle class isn't even good enough for them anymore because they just want to get fucked by hot guys, travel, buy expensive shit, and thot around like a fucking reality tv bimbo. it's just not even worth trying to achieve anymore, best you can hope for is some sugar daddy situation and that is just disgusting.
Leo Sanders
The fact that you have come to be contented and stoical about your lot in life shows you are closer to attaining inner peace than most people.
Jeremiah Lee
That feel when an honorless cur.
Levi Torres
Nice, love a good independent NEET story.
Except if i was in your shoes i would use the comfort of renting your own place (and not having to live in a hostel) to pursue creative activities, cause they really DO pay off, pic related last months royalties.
And i am not even native english speaker nor have i learned English in school. Also i wrote it by flying high as fuck for 3 weeks and just sweating couple thousand words.
Thanks fren. I wouldn't say i am completely content because i still strive to make my life better by acquiring different streams of passive income, but no shame gotta say that you are correct about me being more at peace than my peers
Lucas Moore
I had that for 5 years and yes, it's awesome to have someone devoted to you, willing to sacrifice anything for you, changing their interests etc. BUT 2 things- >the constant possessive jealousy and paranoia is serious strain on your psyche And >it doesn't last forever
I have been single and sexless for 3 years now and apart from missing all the cuddling, watching shows together, playing games, sleeping innawoods etc. it's almost better to be alone.
Because there is no stress of making the other person happy, keeping then interested and so on
Carson Sullivan
I'd like to get into writing. How-to's or possibly fiction.
What kinda stuff did you write?
Leo Barnes
Self-Help and erotica/romance.
I have 2 advices for you >Do not overthink, dont spend your time doing research on niches etc. Just (do it) WRITE >Completely let go of any expectation, think of it as building your own world and telling your stories for yourself. The more suprising it will be once the sales start coming in
Wyatt Lopez
I used to be a wage slave but this same premise hit me. I don't care at all for the low paying shit job I have. I need the money but I'm not in such a bad state. I stopped working overtime and started seeing people again.
Even if you're poor and ugly and no gf. At least have some time to do what you feel like you need to do. Don't give your life away to some company which doesn't care about you as a human.
Jacob Watson
Yeah but how do you SELL your books, assuming they're e-books.
Logan Harris
I just told you to not worry about it. Just write your shit and put it up on amazon kdp. If you go in expecting to make livable wage you will naturally end up disappointed and jaded.
But if you just put it up for sale and suddenly end up with beer money it will be a beautiful surprise
Caleb Cruz
how do you live off 100 bucks?
Thomas Gomez
my plan was to find a loan or a job and make a down payment on a house and be a landlord
Charles Nelson
its easy he also manages to buy over a quarter of weed a month and a pack of cigs as well lol
Chase Wilson
I mean the actual part to monetize the writing. Got any guides or resources?
I am unfamiliar with Amazon.
Kayden Morales
Cook all your food, hunt discounts and don't eat as much.
I cook pasta, lentils, beans, potatoes, frozen veggies, oatmeals, spinach, rice etc.
It's truly not that hard if you want to make it work.
Since i don't have to work aka exert myself i don't need to eat that much. Usually i eat half a kilo of food per day and i feel great.
This allows me to treat myself to coffees, cigs, weed and occasional beer
Ryder Ward
>pack of cigs Yeah, because it's great idea to buy overpriced packs instead of buying tobacco in bulk and rolling your own in papers... no wonder you can't
Alexander Long
your a lying nigger you need at least 1k to live and have utilities and that's assuming you own the house
Luke Cruz
dont smoke cigs m8 as far as the weed i live in a legal state and couldnt afford 9g a month even if i ate very little. nevermind you know basic utilities
Matthew Baker
>177 for a bed in a hostel >123 paid by social >I get 150 usd per month from social >off that i pay 50 for the hostel >have 100 usd for a month >spend 50 on food and rest on cigs, coffee and weed
Just because you are braindead slave to consumer culture doesn't mean there arent inventive people who make it work off fraction of what "normal" person lives off
Samuel Garcia
Well i have to be honest, i buy by 1g for 8 dollars and the dealer likes me so he pretty oftenly gives me the "leftovers" off the big bags so in the end i have 3g for just 8 usd
Colton White
>The reason people slave away their entire lives is to get the attention of a woman Are you fucking retarded?
Ryder Perez
nigger where the fuck can u get rent anywhere less than $600 a month?
fucking nonexistent. you're full of shit there's no $177 per month place you can sleep
and what is this 'social' shit
Christian James
>$50 on food either purely raman or your 75 pounds max
Adam Hill
Also you pissed me off with your ignorance so let me add how i survive >Wait until supermarkets close and "loot" the trash containers, you find TON of free fruit and veggies for free. Also flowers in top condition for some reason >wait until pubs and bars close and "loot" the ashtrays outside, people usually rush so they leave half cigs in there, you just split those cigs, collect the tobacco and roll your own >if you sneak by bakeries at night they usually leave the trays with hot pastry next to gates so it cools off, so you just reach you hand in there and "loot" free bread, croissants, baguettes and so on >In spring and summer you can just walk around the country side and "loot" corn and potatoes off fields. >There are tons and tons of apples, pears and so on to be picked >Fhe woods are FULL of blueberries, wild strawberries, raspberries and more
Like i said all it takes is the will to live without wage slaving.
And as i mentioned i supplement my income at times by providing freelance translations, i used to sell couple of 3d models and i get royalties off ebooks. It's not much but every couple dollars help
Nevermind you are retard
Nathaniel Richardson
>Nevermind you are retard tell me in U.S.A where i can live for under $200 with a bed and electricity
Aiden Allen
Yeah thats brilliant thinking, obviously social pays 150 in US too, right? You have it 10 times easier even. Also i just spent 3 minutes typing X tips on how to survive and you completely ignored that so fuck off.
If you want to see only obstacles and concentrate all your thoughts and energy into thinking why something can't be done then i am sorry but i can't help
Christian Richardson
weird im 22 and i live bymyself in an apartment , sounds a lot like this , are you happy though? i feel alone a lot.
>Also i just spent 3 minutes typing X tips on how to survive and you completely ignored that so fuck off. im not that guy. i know how to eat cheap
idk where something is so fucking cheap to live at tho
Elijah Adams
I think he meant to build a family, makes more sense at least
Christopher Martinez
Dude i mentioned that i live in a hostel at least 5 times already.
If and when i save up for down payment and the estate agency provision so that i have my own rented apartment the social will also pay most of it for me.
Sorry mate but i dont know shit about your social help in USA all i know is you get SSID or something.
Start researching, you guys have the public housing which is fucking AWESOME
Joseph Jones
>Dude i mentioned that i live in a hostel at least 5 times already. cheapest i can find here is $30 a day lol wtf
Luke Morgan
Yeah but your social help pays way more than 150 per month, and i dont know how you got it over the pond, but here they pay 60-100% housing costs for you if you have no income
Caleb Rodriguez
I want lots of things but I won't let you control me for it
Leo Parker
>Yeah but your social help pays way more than 150 per month yeah but you can't get any just for being broke and having no job. you have to have some mental disability, it's very hard to get. the only thing i was elligible for was food stamps for 6 months ($180/month). i made that last 10 months, but i deliberately ate like a king
i can't get any free shit from the government for existing. it sucks
Joseph Bell
Doesn't it work the way that they give you money and/or pay for your housing AS LONG as you are "looking" for a job? The only upside to being disabled here is that you don't have to go to job center appointments and get the money just cause.
In any case you surely have something fucked up with your brain to warrant diagnosis and disability. Even if it means you have to hospitalize urself for couple of months
Julian Wood
oh no a skinnyfat retard that eats out of trash cans is pissed on a side note why not beg on the streets?
Bentley Gonzalez
>Doesn't it work the way that they give you money and/or pay for your housing AS LONG as you are "looking" for a job? i don't know. i've applied to 100s of places though
Easton Lee
do you own a house how do you pay for utilities?
Isaiah Davis
>Doesn't it work the way that they give you money and/or pay for your housing AS LONG as you are "looking" for a job? lol no unemployment only lasts for 6mos and you have to be fired without cause from a full-time job to get that
& everyone gets denied disability. I've heard of quadriplegics who had to appeal and go to court, which costs $$$.
Juan Perry
I am fine actually, thanks for your concern. And i dislike even when dealer gives me free weed or acquaintances buying me beers and such so i couldn't stomach begging. I take care of myself on my own so why would i beg?
Benjamin Bennett
Soon to be wagie here (just out of uni with a MSc in robotics).
In my view working 40h a week is for sure too much, and my goal is to reduce this number to something more sane in the 24h to 32h range.
However I think we are part of a society and derive a lot of advantages from than, the fact that there's cheap food and no predator for example. Thus I think it is fair to be expected to give back, at least to an extend. Work is for me a way to give back in be part of the community.
Christopher Sanders
Yeah about the disability-its well known that physically disabled people do not get the stamp for some reason but psychically ill people get it usually.
And explain to me how do the millions and millions of unemployed white trash and niggers survive then?
They MUST get some sort of social help with housing, food(stamps) and money for survival/necessities
David Hughes
Bullshit, they're the most malleable because you can fill their void with your own desires. You see it here every day.
Brandon Nguyen
What you are saying makes no sense. Why would anyone who is content give a flying fuck about other people's desires much less adopt them?
Angel Richardson
>Dislikes free drugs Nice outing yourself as a larping faggot
James Turner
>And explain to me how do the millions and millions of unemployed white trash and niggers survive then? we don't really have millions of unemployed people. the US is at full employment right now. as for those not part of the labor market: the men sell drugs, the women turn tricks. they live in section 8 housing because it can take a year+ to evict them for nonpayment of rent. most people work minimum wage and get $40 or so in food stamps per month
Owen Nelson
Yeah it's fucking peachy to feel like you owe something to someone when you have no way of returning the favor tardo
Ethan Nguyen
Unemployed Persons February 2019 National 6,235,000
Are you trying to tell me that 6 motherfucking MILLION people are surviving solely off sex work and drug dealing? I have a hard time believing that
Gavin Howard
>critisizing others for blind consumerism while giving your money to corporations to supply your chemical dependence and wasting away playing games and watching tv >unironically calling your bored, nihilistic, indulgent life the "spartan way"
Elijah Parker
>we don't really have millions of unemployed people. the US is at full employment right now. top lel
10s of millions of adults are NEET
after a certain number of months you get removed from the "unemployed" list without having a job
if you are a 'discouraged worker' you are not counted
i can't find a job at all, i have work experience and a degree. they must not be very desperate lol
William Long
he lives on no fucking money. 100 dollars a month. it's spartan to me.
Jayden Campbell
if your housing and electricity is paid for, $100 a month is more than enough for food lol
Jeremiah Lee
>why chase paper? Because with no paper you starve. I personally dont care about money, but Ill eventually have to wageslave to have food, shelter and internet. Im trying to study for an area that doesnt make me kms.
Ryan Gutierrez
it's called frictional unemployment, look it up. the US has a very low minimum wage and therefore little structural unemployment compared to somewhere like france.
>10s of millions of adults are NEET this isn't true unless you count stay at home parents, retired people, etc. who are not looking for jobs. if you can't find a job with a college degree, you live in the wrong place or have a criminal record. first time jobs for teenagers pay $15+/hr in my state and everyone is hiring.
Juan Reyes
>this isn't true unless you count stay at home parents, retired people, etc. who are not looking for jobs.
>if you can't find a job with a college degree, you live in the wrong place i have applied in the entire state of florida, everywhere. it is the third most populated state
>or have a criminal record. i do not
>first time jobs for teenagers pay $15+/hr in my state and everyone is hiring. what state is that? mcjobs here are like $8 per hour but i'm trying to find something where my 3-5yr of work experience is relevant
Alexander Rodriguez
>Why would anyone who is content You're not content, you've settled for nothing. Look at this board, desire everything. Posters convincing other posters what they really want.
Joshua Rodriguez

nobody wants to hire me, i almost never get interviews either, so it's not my personality or looks or anything of that sort, i don't even get the opportunity to austim it up
i get like one in-person interview every 2-3 months... 5-10 applications per day on average
