What are good robot movies that you would you recommend, r9k? I'm talking movies of the same calibre as drive, Jin-Roh wolf brigade, blade runner 2049, maybe even American psycho, etc?

the chronicle is a good movie about robot

Theres something about willy wonka that gives me those vibes. The original of course. But if you can read the book then read that.

you a fan of comic book movies? have you ever seen the dark knight? it's unique because it doesn't feel like a comic book movie, it just feels like watching a great award-winning film. I neglected it for a while but I recently watched it after the trailer came out for that new joker film. I liked it even though I never watched batman begins.

Her

>Sentimental spaz falls in love with phone,
>gets cheated on

Taxi Driver
originally

there's also inception if you're into action films, it's basically the matrix of this decade, watch it if you haven't already

Oh yes this is indeed a classic, I should've mentioned it in the op. You're pretty spot on

>it's basically the matrix of this decade
inception is good but i would never say that shit. theyre totally different

Yep I've seen it. Interstellar was also good. And a good series is true detective

The Man Who Sleeps.
Film shot in black and white, made in the 70s and takes place in Paris.
The IMDB summary "A 25-year-old male student in Paris becomes indifferent to the world around him, and subsequently feels a strong sense of alienation and hopelessness."

Sounds like my kind of movie, I'll check it out. Thanks, user

idk if its robot but watch bone tomahwak without reading anything abou tit. fun as fuck

on superhero films, you should go back and watch the original Iron Man (2008), it's the movie that made marvel decide to start the whole mcu. it's not as good as the dark knight in my opinion but it's still a fucking classic. I'd consider both iron man and the dark knight to be gateway drugs into their respective cinematic universes.

I'll give it a burl mate, thanks

i think the whole movie is on youtube for free, may also be all in french so id try to find a version with subtitles

>high budget action film
>amazing direction
>near-perfect casting
>based around profound philosophical ideas
>cool special effects that were groundbreaking for their time
>that one scene with mind-blowing choreography
>great soundtrack
which movie am I talking about? inception or the matrix?

Would you perchance know the name of that movie about a "relocation institute' or some shit, it's based on a book by Philip k dick and has some schizo vibes

My problem with both these movies was that you get so immersed in them, you eventually enter this strange juxtaposition where the movie suddenly feels shallow and fake, I dunno... I get it alot with movies and even real life

Just looked it up, and I'm hooked. Gonna watch it now

Found it - "the adjustment bureau". Looks ok... Anybody think it's worth it?

!! i've seen this movie before i remember now, this came out in 2011 and i had totally forgotten about it until now; fuck it, add it to your list

Also you should consider watching "law abiding citizen" not really a robot movie but a good thriller nonetheless

The original TrainSpotting

Will do. Yeah law abiding citizen is a good one, sad one though

One Hour Photo was pure kino
