Rowing is the best form of cardio, full stop. >Works the entire body >Easy on the joints >The sport of patricians >Requires both endurance and power to be successful at >Jacked athletes like Anthony Joshua and Brian Shaw use it
>everyone does it wrong unless you're already an actual rower >fucks up your back
Grayson Myers
My top 3.
8 x 500m reps. 1min rest. Aim for 1:45 .
2000m 1min break. 1500m 1min break 1000m 1 min break 500m 1 min break.
Rowing tabata memes if strapped for time.
Closely followed in intensity by the assault him.
Jaxon Cox
>Easy on the joints Not true. It's pretty good though and I'm glad rarely anyone ever uses the rowing machines in my gym. It's the perfect accessory cardio for runners imho.
Noah White
Not true, just start the push with your legs and bring the handle to your chest with your back and biceps
Kevin Edwards
What would be a good 2k rowing time? Mine is 7:44 but I only started rowing a month ago
Tyler Hughes
I doubt Brian shaw could even finish a 5k
Julian Butler
Aim for under 7. I went from 7:29 to 6:48 but it took like 5 months.
Carter Richardson
He does sprints and farmer's walks in high altitude conditions for cardio, he certainly could
Josiah Martin
Anthony Joshua isn't known for endurance. Rowing is much more intense on muscular endurance than it is on cardiovascular ability. The best form of cardio is cross country skying, then running, then swimming. Swimming would be, but it doesn't challenge your cardio and breathing patterns in ways that are as transferable to other sports.
Jayden Nguyen
When in the fuck has he done sprints? The limiting factor BY FAR in every even he competes in is muscular strength and frame, not cardio. His resting heart rate is likely around 7 bpm.
Charles Adams
He's a professional boxer, his endurance is better than anyone on Jow Forums
Wyatt Harris
That's why you see NFL guys and strongment sucking oxegen after events, but you don't see 800m, 5k runners, MMA atheletes, and other athletes with real cardio doing so. Strongmen are a bunch of strong, roided fat fucks. The cardio system and organs don't grow at the same rate as the muscular mass they put on with roids, hgh, and excessive eating.
Jack Nguyen
I assure you there are plenty of average competitive runners and other athletes that have better cardio. His muscle mass and strength is great, as is his bodyfat percentage, but that doesn't mean he has extraordinary cardio.
John Ward
He basically trains with a bunch of meme modern personal training instagram type techniques that allow for a good physique without improved practical application. Fat fuck Andy Ruiz's boxing cardio is a good. Wilder could no doubt beat him in a race or endurance contest, and Fury's likely as strong, though Joshua has the most muscle mass of any of them.
Brandon Davis
Shaw only does it because running would fuck his joints and knees up, considering the mass on his frame
Ian Lee
Boxing is one of the most cardio-intensive sports there is. Fighting for 12 rounds burns more calories than a 10k run.
Cooper Jackson
swimming is better
Ryan Carter
>10k is getting close to 40 minutes Feels good man
Alexander Reyes
I tend to avoid things that make my ass hurt
Leo Johnson
And there aren't any boxers out there sparring 12 intense rounds a day, when it's common to run 10k+ a day for committed runners, and you body is capable of doing so without breaking down.
Just because Shaw has done it doesn't mean he's doing so on a consistent basis or that any of the reason that we know him has to do with the fact that he practices rowing. If you took an average person and told them, look at this 6'8 400 pound bloatlord, he does rowing, they'd say, so what's ur fucking point? The only reason to do rowing is if you get bored of doing the more effective forms of cardio and want to target your thighs and lower back.
Hudson Lee
5:35 is world record 5:50 is elite 6:20 is rather good 7:00 is good for a normie
Brayden Jenkins
What does more effective even mean? Rowing is good for huge and/or heavy people who want to do legit hiit, because it's less stress on their joints than running and easier to learn proper form than swimming and also better accessible (in a gym) than a pool. Now for liss cycling is obviously better, but you should do both anyway.
Kayden Thomas
Sprints and distance running use different muscle types. Most sprinters have no endurance and most runners can’t sprint.
Chase Phillips
If you sparred hard 12 rounds a day you would be fucked from brain damage
Adrian Carter
I do 3.5k in 15 minutes but it's kinda light because it's a warmup for lifting
Liam Murphy
if you're not using a heart rate monitor, keeping your heart rate below 180 - (your age), and on the erg for more than 45 min then you're wasting your time
Isaiah Foster
I mean improving your heart rate, vo2 max, and burning fat. You can pack on more quality volume with running, cycling, and swimming than you can with rowing. It's not like it's a BAD practice, but it's not superior. For heavy people, look Dave Goggins did when he was too big to run, he cycled and swam. Your arms and lower back fatigue--the weakest links on rowing-- fatigue way faster than the larger or more distributed muscle groups that limit output in the other forms of cardio.
