carbs in last meal
don't do anything in bed that isnt sleeping

Here is what works for me

>500mcg melatonin
>100mg trazodone (precription)

AND THIS NEXT PART IS KEY

>500mcg melatonin right before you fall asleep

I can sleep 9 hours most days I don't stay on the computer right before bed

>dont do anything in bed that isnt sleeping
sounds like Jow Forums to me

I sleep like a baby whenever I fuck my gf before bed.

I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning.

kek

have sex

21 hours awake right now. Fucking tired.

shut up kira

this guy gets it, same here

H-haha....

would twenty minutes of stretches before bed actually work? doesn't it get you more 'active' for workout?

static stretches vs dynamic stretches

trazodone fucks up REM sleep

read a book with a nice, not too bright reading lamp for 15-30 mins beforehand

low blow

Ibuprofen 800mg

I take magnesium glycinate with dinner. Makes you have crazy dreams too

enjoy eventual dependency

gfs are biggest gains goblins

My new phone automatically does night mode (blue filtering). Really helps.

idk about the carbs thing but these are all pretty good. my own research and anecdotal experience indicates that being cold and then warming up in bed (i.e. cold room temp and then getting under the covers) is what helps you drift off to sleep the best.
>no light/noise
i wear a sleep mask to cancel out all light and its been a great purchase. when it comes to the no noise thing, i cant say for sure how it effects me because i havent done it enough. i actually listen to the same reruns of shows on hulu over and over. i think the familiarity of the show and me knowing basically every line helps put me out. i will say that before the sleep mask, i would wake up after 4 hours to the tv light. with the sleep mask i sleep 6-8 hours straight. this is whether i had the tv on or not. zero difference, so as of now my opinion on sound is that it might not matter so long as its soothing to you.

>Blue light blocking glasses 2 hr before bed
>Blue light reducing software for all electronics
>Weighted blanket
>Cool-ish room (whatever's most comfortable to you)
>Nasal rinse before bed to keep nasal passages open (or at least one of them)
>Magnesium
>Blackout shades
>Splashing water on face to activate mammalian dive reflex and relax body
>Activate Parasympathtic NErvous System with: rhythmic breathing (read The Healing Power of the Breath), touching lips with fingers, and other things that can activate PNS
>Avoid stressful scenarios

JOKES ON YOU I AM WAY PAST DEPENDENCY

Having a gf is beta as fuck, imagine having to pander to a woman 24/7

It's impossible to not fall asleep in pitch black darkness and cool temperature

Just turn off all the lights in your room 1 hour before you go to sleep, also try to get shit done during the day. Days where I'm lazy and unproductive I find it harder to sleep

A Helix™ Sleep Moonlight Mattress
Boll & Branch™ Luxury Bedsheets
VR headset fitted with smartphone for first person ASMR video watching
Fleshlight with specialty limited-edition Sasha Grey fittings
Room temperature kept at exactly 68.5°
I usually get around 5-6 hours of sleep on a good night with this method

>cool room
>blue light blocking glasses 2 hrs before bed
>read for 30 minutes before bed
>don't eat 4 hours before the time you want to be asleep

oh also not beating off before bed, I'm not massive on nofap (though I am anti porn) but not beating off within 3 hours of sleep really helped me get more consistent sleep and longer sleep, I know beating off gets you to sleep quickly but after I stopped for about a week it made no difference

I take a baby aspirin and sleep like the dead.

I sleep on my back with a small pillow under my knees like on a massage table.

Why are people everywhere trying to shill this ahit?

What I do to get a good night's sleep is I put on a ring I made to pretend I'm married. Then, I get into bed with my dakimakura and pretend it's my wife who is very happy to have me hugging her. Feels pretty good.

Never drink coffee
Do calculus right before you go to sleep

Eating carbs increases neurotransmitters like serotonin and helps you fall asleep faster. Instead of whining about whether it's true or not, go fast 20 hours and eat a pack of Skittles till you to hypo. Heck, eat a medium carb / high protein meal and you feel sleepy after 30 minutes. When you keep stuffing your face it's difficult to separate the effects of what macros causing what, but experiment yourself. I recently switched to more carbs in the evening (plus blueberry smoothie an hour before bed) and I have dealt with really difficult insomnia (usually 2 hours in bed before I fall asleep) due to thoughts going nuts when I lay down - anyways, higher carb in evening + magnesium supplementation made an insane difference and I can actually have a normal life now and get at least 6 hours of medium/high quality sleep.

pretty hard to do this when you have a desk job... or any job for that matter other than being in the military

>Do calculus right before you go to sleep
Horrible advice
Any student knows solving problems right before bed makes it harder to sleep

>dat headspin trying to sleep the night before an exam

not the same guy but stuff like that works for me. Back in college, reading any textbook would make me sleepy

put a tampon into a freezer
unironically shove it into your ass before sleep
Our brain judges whether to sleep or awake by bowels temp.

ive noticed that taking omega 3 or zinc (or both) before sleeping improves the quality of my sleep

If you have a congested nose at night or in the morning it may be because of ALLERGIES to dust mites. This will fuck up the quality of your sleep and significantly slow down your gains. I do sinus rinse before sleeping and put on a breathe right strip. Life changing.

Here's a trick I've been using to fall asleep:

When trying to fall asleep, try to relax all muscles in your face and body. Your lower jaw should be separated from the top as far as possible without opening your mouth. Tongue should rest at top of roof to ensure only your nose is used for breathing.

I have the same experience when I fuck his gf

>be on keto for 2 years
>sleep between 6-7 hours
>wake up rested
carbs my ass. the only reason you sleep longer is because your body has to deal with daily inflammation and your liver and pancreas have to work overtime just to keep you alive.

No one in the military does that except in boot

isn't keto a literally produce more bodywaste to reduce the calorie intake?

good post

I hate saying this but we lost our old dog recently but I've had the best sleep I've had in years. While I miss my old girl curling up against me at night, her frequent movement often woke me up even though I'd go back to sleep pretty quickly. Near the end, she just couldn't get comfortable and I had to keep her next to the bed. There's nothing like seeing your old girl go so quickly downhill in a short eight or nine months. Yeah, she lost a step or two by the time she was 14 and could no longer keep up with me running. By the end, she wouldn't even wake up when I got home from work. So instead of her coming to me, I started going to her. She loved that I'd slide my arms under her in a hug and hold her. She'd look around, a little confused, but then realizing it was me, would go right back to sleep after a lick or two. We'd lay there a few minutes then she'd get up for me to let her outside.

I miss you, girl.

Bro, we didn't come here to cry wtf

Giggled

People have to train themselves to fall asleep quickly? I thought it was completely normal.

The couch is for fucking

With your gf/s head on your chest as she listens to your heartbeat.

Honestly I just go the fuck to sleep.

Do you guys really have this many sleeping issues?

Attached: 1527346826276.jpg (720x960, 167K)

magnesium is good for muscle relaxation and long sleep so eat 2 banannas everyday before going to sleep, easy

Do your daily cardio. My sleep sucks when I'm not

go to the gym

>People have to train themselves to fall asleep quickly? I thought it was completely normal.
For me every night is a struggle, it takes 1-5-2 hours to fall asleep.

No phone or tv 1 hour before bed

Go to bed satisfied with how the day went. This will make you have a very good night sleep.
