What kind of job do you have Jow Forums? Do you enjoy it?
Personally i work overnight at a gas station. I used to like the job, however it has become very annoying. I plan on quitting soon and getting a new one.
I'm hesitating because my boss is going through a rough time and being short staffed adds on to that.
Low paying.
What is you're job?
I work at a mental health hospital. I enjoy it at points. Other times I fucking hate it and have to think of a reason not to quit.
So, like any other job I guess.
I'm a student, but all of the work I have done and am planning to do is in education. Teaching is comfy because you can establish a comfort zone to operate within without too much meddling, plus it feels good to help others accomplish the things I'm not good enough to do.
I went to university to teach. Even shadowed my former high school teacher.
Fun stuff.
Gave that up when i couldn't afford it and got a bunch of hospital debt.
Do you clean the poopoo? Sounds spooky. I've never been to one though. Only idea is from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"
It's kinda like that. Not so much spooky. But then again I've never been a patient. Just kinda drains the soul. I imagine it's kinda similar to working in a courthouse. When you see and interact with super fucked people all day, it tends to wear you out.
Are you like nurse Ratchet? Did it take a college degree?
I'm actually tring to become a Justice assistant now. It only requires a high school diploma and motivation! and computer skills which i can learn. Pays 1,700-2,200 a month. They'll also help you become a paralegal. Sure hope i get the job and it doesn't overwhelm me.
There are mental hospitals here, but I've never looked at them. News says they're over full.
I'm a delivery driver for an auto parts store. The pay is shit but I kind of like the job and the people I work with. For right now I'll take that over a better paying job but I dread going to work every day like I have at previous jobs.
Every coworker I've had that used to be in the army has been shit. Very lazy. It surprises me.
I got offered a job like that. Guess the starting pay was 17 an hour. Seemed legitimate but my mother thought it was a scam. doesn't matter don't know how to drive. And it is in a big city.
The guy said it was the best job he ever had.
Why do you dread going to work? I only had that happen when i had really shitty boss. She was a huge bitch that liked insulting people.
TSA
Its pretty awesome
What is so awesome about it?
Pay is good?
software developer
if youre not working with some autistic language like lisp youre fucked
also NEVER go for website development, the amount of socializing needed WAY excels any robot capabilities, also coworkers are chaddy retards and staceys who only 'brew' coffee, using machine of course because actually brewing coffee is too hard for them
>like lisp
what's wrong with the other languages? what does this provide that the others do not?
I would lick and suck her pussy and asshole
You are the cause of so many people's prolonged suffering. Please do us all a favor and mass murder-suicide between your coworkers and yourself.
the bounds of that argument are so loose you could qualify almost every living creature
What kind of Software do you develop?
Is that an job?
I'm looking for a job. I'll probably end up on a factory floor with a goblin-tier retard who barely graduated elementary school yelling at me for not doing things right.
I've been a mcwagecuck for a bit over a month. I've probably gone fucked to work like 90% of time.
service technician at a generic food industry. repair industrial food machines and teach operators how to use the machines correctly.
fun sometimes but mostly just very stressful as how long a production stop is depends on how fast you can solve the problem and damaging on the soul as you realize how mentally challenged some people really can be
did you go to a vocational school? How did you get in the business?
night shift security. comfy as fuck and pretty much no social interactions
I don't really understand what you said.
I am surprised there aren't more mcworkers.
Gas station work isn't so bad. I'm sure a factory has better pay. Maybe easier to move up in too.
Is it satisfying to fix things at least?
Is the pay worth the stress?
Sounds nice. Do you just watch cameras? I wouldn't mind that.
you could say that.
i live in sweden and here the educational system works so that when you finish middle school, you choose to either go to a vocational school, or a school that prepares you for college but with basically no chance of a stable job unless you actually go to college. so many people go to vocational school because they are tired of studying. so you could say "instead of" going to high school, i've gone to a vocational school studying the subject energy and electricity with the automation branch, which focuses alot on programming and the logic behind bigger industrial machines.
I receive product for the gift shop at one of the founding fathers estates. There is so much plastic that it hurts. But I put headphones in and work
>Do you just watch cameras?
No, I drive around and then walk around city properties and check if the doors are locked. I like the physical activity, it's not like I'd be moving much in my free time
Never had a job. In college right now. I want to work but every fucking job offer that has hours compatible with my studies is in food services. I can't be a goddamn waiter, I'd spill my spaghetti immediately. Right now I'm eyeing an offer for an assistant's position in a DHL warehouse. I'd have to package things, scan them or whatever, and then load the up into a van. The problem is that the work hours are 5 am - 9 am and 6 pm - 11 pm on mondays and 5:30 pm - 11 pm on every other weekday. I'm afraid one day I'll die of exhaustion on monday, because I'm autistic and have to watch Youtube in bed until 2 am before falling asleep.
>I am surprised there aren't more mcworkers
What makes you say that? I wonder what running a Mcdicks with an entire crew of fellow robots would be like.
>Is it satisfying to fix things at least?
it can be. if there is a problem i have to really think about or get creative on it feels pretty good once i actually get it working. for simple problems i get called on like someone having accidentally pressed an e-stop without noticing its mostly just annoying.
>Is the pay worth the stress?
as this is the first job ive ever had i cant really compare to anything else but friends working in other industries have simpler tasks and higher pay than me so i would say, no, probably not
when i started working i made 2460 usd a month before tax and now, 1,5 years later i make 2700 usd a month before tax.
but im young and i live alone so i dont mind i guess
I've been a neet since graduating college a year ago because I'm terrified of interviews and the work environment in general
>and have to watch Youtube in bed until 2 am before falling asleep.
Benzos my fren.
I'm a straight edge cunt
>Gas station work isn't so bad. I'm sure a factory has better pay. Maybe easier to move up in too.
Depends on the factory really. Many pay the same for much harder work.
I'd look into gas station work but most employers ask for previous work experience.
Also sometimes I get hit with brain fog and I'm afraid of fucking up with the cash. Here almost everyone pays with cash so you might have like $2k/day in cash going though you. I don't feel very comfortable with this.
I see.
>tfw went though my countrys regular highschool, then failed uni
>now I can't even be a plumber because of laws dictating having a degree or a vocational school certificate
it would be funny if it wasn't ruining me life
So you just deal with freight? That doesn't sound too bad. Bet it pays poorly.
Is it dangerous? Ever run in to a bad guy?
That seems like good pay to me. I work 45 hours a week and make 1200 a month after tax. Can't even afford to live alone.
Could you work at night when fewer people come in?
I apply anyway without experience. I've been hired 4 times this way.
>now I can't even be a plumber because of laws dictating having a degree or a vocational school certificate
that sucks man, what country? here you can pretty much work in any factory without an education so thats where most idiots end up. makes my job harder though when i have to teach all the bottom of the barrel people how to do their job. (mudslimes who dont even speak swedish also work here)
sorry for passive-agressively calling you an idiot
it may be to you but that all depends on what country you live in. over here it is pretty much as low a pay you can get working a full time job. i also work overtime alot and have on-call duty every third sunday and 6 weekdays every month
>Is it dangerous? Ever run in to a bad guy?
No, I generally don't run into anybody. It's the comfiest job I've had so far
True i do not know the cost of living over there.
Oh well.
How do I write a CV if I have no previous job experience nor interests that are relevant to the job I'm seeking?
Also, can I include delivering for ubereats as a job experience? Maybe that bullshit gig will benefit me in some way finally.
You just need to network bro
i can say after tax i have about 1900 usd so i get by with absolutely no problems at all but it truly is a soul-draining job. and i guess that's my biggest problem with it.
never ever base your cv on a specific job you are working on. rather than trying to suck ass just give a general profile of yourself. anything. what you like to do that you think could benefit to society in some way. maybe you are technical, or artistic? write it down.
do not ever lie in your cv because it will be obvious if you were to actually get the job and it will make it harder for you to find proper jobs in the future.
yes, delivering for ubereats shows the employer you've handled working on a time limit before and that you can handle stress. this is very important on many work places.
im a floor finisher, decent wage but should be more considering the chemicals we deal with
What does she mean with that text?
I'm unemployed at the moment as I left my job last month due to bullying.
It was a factory and I've always worked in factories, but they're the shittest most soulsucking types of jobs and usually there's always some abusive people in them who will just pick away at you if you're the quiet or different from the norm in any way, and I try not to let it get to me but it does. It's never as obvious as direct bullying, just endless different little things like name calling, leaving you more work to do, acting annoyed with you all the time, being rude when you ask for anything, etc...
I'm on the autism spectrum for sure though undiagnosed, have a lot of anxiety issues & depression but keep putting off getting help or applying for money because I think I'll just get rejected for it (it's the UK and they're like fascists when it comes to disability bux)
Currently I have no income whatsoever as there's a 3 month welfare sanction period when you leave a job, I have been applying for jobs but no responses yet. I was kinda motivated about a nightshift supermarket job I applied for because it was a decent wage but I haven't heard anything back from them so now I feel like shit.
Never really been in a state of suicidal depression like this before and not sure how to proceed. I won't kms but I don't know whether I should be applying for another job only to potentially face the bullying/ passive aggressive/ belittling crap again, or try and seek some help and get diagnosed as autistic. I just can't be bothered with fucking anything.
If you get sick can't you sue for big money?
Currently unemployed but got an interiew in another state so if I want to go to it I have to pay several hundred dollars for a plane ticket
>should I do it?
Why did you apply is it at least worth it?
Sounds kind of dumb.
Because its a government agency, and their grad program is both in the city I have to travel to and my home city
>honestly probably not as its one of those group assessments where if they like you they invite you for a second interview
What kind of job is it?
Government jobs seem nice.
Financial regulation
I work a low paying office job in a field that I have zero interest in. The only male co-worker in my department is leaving next month. I have hear a lot of bad things of having too many women in your work space but my female colleagues are actually very nice desu.
What are some good jobs for a robot trying to recover from being a neet/hermit
Do you do them?
I worked retail after neethood.
Wouldn't recommend. Maybe truck diver. If you can get a CDL.
Have to get a driving license first, never needed one because I live in a big city
female colleagues are usually better than men.
Unless they're annoying bitch youngs ones, they're usually softer on you and the environment is much less competitive.
I'm working in the same dead end retail job for a decade now (after dropping out of university). It is shit, barely pays anything and I can never retire. But I'm alone all day. Rarely any customer. I will probably kill myself when it closes.
>pic related is my boss
I'm a nurse in a hospital. I was and still mostly am way over my head, but somehow nothing has happened yet. I am also afraid of going to work, mostly because of a few people that work there. They have this passive "smarter than you" aura and I'm incredibly afraid of being exposed as stupid when talking to them.
I literally had nightmares about work and the "stress" there, even though it's just a normal ward and not something like the emergency room or intensive care.
I'm an airborne infantryman. Its pretty nice at times, but other times I want to kill myself.
I work security (graveyard shift) for a pharmacy and occasionally get contracted for armed sites by city councils, police departments or industrial plants.
I also work at a computer repair shop and do web design for small business, with the occasional graphic design job here or there.

Anyone ever worked for an industry that was undergoing scandals?
>a couple of months ago I was working in an industry that was undergoing a government inquiry on how they were ripping off their clients
Do you sex boss?
>devops engineer
>fucking hate it
The job itself is fine and pays well, but I'm burnt out on the tech industry. But if I decide to fuck off to do something else, I'm fucked if whatever I do doesn't work out, since shit is moving so fast that your skills get out of date within months if you aren't keeping up.
you can work on some really cool shit if you know erlang, haskell, or clojure and make decent money doing it. functional programming makes it easier to write microservices that scale like motherfuckers, which is needed for any big IoT, commerce, supply chain, or fin...honestly for any big project these days
NEET as fuck. I had a job on wednesday. A call center hocking shite to old Americans on some Jewellery channel but being literally locked in there watching the shopping channel for hours was like a Requiem for a Dream nightmare and I knew I was gonna walk away from that shit mentally worse than I started so i apologised and left.
Real life is not the same as animu, my boss is old and ugly.
I sell vacuum cleaners to Americans that have built in systems to datamine all their wi-fi activity and then get paid by my boss (we call him Big Data Boss) to find juicy tidbits which we can save for when the Final Operation Begins. Make sure to buy a Huawei so that you can get started now building your Social Credit score!
I would still sex most likely. Especially if wealthy.
I work at the Huawei factory and install the special operation activation units that will botnet them together into what we call Omega Zhang and use that power to bring our terracotta army to life and do battle with our mortal enemy, the age-old vampire Peter Thiel, who famously used the excuse of the "Black Plague" to cover up his last feeding frenzy. It really shocking to us Han that you guys can't tell he's like definitely an evil vampire when he is gulping down blood slurpees left and right but I guess the American education system really isn't what it used to be,
>worked my ass of to become a lawyer
>get paid 5k/month
>tax jew steals half of it
How to become vampire?
Call centers sound like nightmares. phone calls are awkward.
Are you planning on retiring early?
guess you should've learned to be a less shitty lawyer lol, people working a Verizon kiosk at the mall make more than you
to become vampire you must be silicon valley billionaire as was fortold in the book of faces, written many millennia ago and bound in the flesh of fallen angels
and you have to be white
Really?
Man. I'm only white. Ahhh
Summer work on a golf course
>tfw 12 days on 2 days off
>try and make you work 20 days in a row sometimes
Would be a great job if you got some time off tbqh
>pic related
yeah w/ commission you can make 80 - 100k per year easy at a busy store if you're in sales.
if you're not good at it you'll probably make alot less though, so you've gotta be in a good location and make sure to out shark the other sharks.
Call centers are comfy but they're a workhouse for low achievers and the people that excell and go up the ranks in them are the worst normie cunts. They're fishbowls that do drain the soul out of you. I worked in one happily when I was 25 but now I'm almost 30 sitting around bored with a bunch of low test 20 year olds who are jus coasting to the same shitshow failure life i am was too much for me now.
They moniter the time you take in the bathroom and this one had cameras on you all the time. I'm not a slave.
They're easy money tho.
A Janitor (paid), that works for a manufacturing company that has a bunch of high end contracts with companies I signed an NDA for.
It's ok, I get paid vacation, 401k, stock, insurance, etc. Wish the pay was a little better though I'm not complaining.
I really wish a civil war would pop off so I can kill some communists before I get too old and decrepit.
call centers aren't worth it ever
when i was younger i was a supervisor at one and was making $26/hr + "customer service bonuses" and upper management never knows what you're doing and will just arbitrarily make decisions to fuck you without giving a shit. we had our company president walk through and he threw a temper tantrum because someone had a blanket over the back of her chair (in alaska, in winter) and that we had post-it notes on our PCs so after that we had to be suit-and-tie. sitting all day. at a call center.
all executives i've ever had to deal with at large companies are huge pieces of shit. work for a small business or start your own.
A new school opens up in August. I could work there as a janitor. It is tempting.
It took me a long time to figure out the paid joke.
Janitorial work is stupid easy. Depending on who you work for, you could end up listening to music or talking on the phone while you work and time flies by.
Idk about a school though, kids tend to be destructive and you'll be the one stuck with the bathrooms.
What do I put on my CV/tell interviewers to explain my time as a NEET?
Thinking of doing it.
Tell them you were focusing on studies but can no longer afford it or some such. Lie.
I record order forms on a computer for an upperscale womens clothing store. I have my own office and Im allowed to listen to my own music. I get paid 6 dollars over my states minimum wage and am getting a raise or a bonus soonish.
Its very easy for me and the monotomy soothes me. The only difficulties are when I dont have line sheets for prices and europeans who cant write legibly.
Ive never recorded a piece of clothing in that store under 90 dollars, the maximum ive seen is 1,200 dollars for a cardigan
That sounds very nice.
I would like that job.
Do you sniff the underwear sometimes?
This, but I didn't work my ass off and the gov doesn't take half (though it's not far from half). I don't make as much either but in my part of Europe very few people do. Salaries aren't that high but on the flipside we get a whole lot of things for free from the gov.
I like it most of the time. It's office-bound in an environment where people don't really care how I spend my time as long as I deliver. Involves a lot of traveling too which is nice, seeing new places in different parts of the world.
cart slave for a target nearby, it's piss fucking easy work and because i'm not a brainlet i get paid 11.25 an hour because i also know how to work the fisher price cash registers they have when it gets too busy for stacy and cleetus jr, i work out a shit ton so i'm able to push literally +30 carts with ease, the only problem is it is a truly sisyphean job; get the trash, get the carts, check the spill stations, do it all again 30 minutes later - i'm usually listening to music 95% of the time though and old ladies give me tips for helping them with groceries so if you're fit enough and don't mind running through the motions all day it's not a bad job at all
Do you fuck stacy in the bathroom then make cleetud clean up the cum??
I'm an English language teacher to adult learners. I'm good at creating a positive social atmosphere and pretending to know what I'm doing enough to lead a group, but fuck I despise people. I really want to do anything else than teaching, but I have no other qualifications and there's not a single job out there with as little effort put in for $40 AU an hour. Guess I'm trapped forever.
no, something is broke in my brain and i don't have any desire to fuck or date any of these retarded whores, all i do is work out, push carts, write, read, sleep, and eat - i'm free brother
Retail slave at Target. Please don't leave your damn Starbucks cups in the shelves you pigs. We have trash cans.
Maintenance man
Literally the best fucking job ever
I barely work most days desu and i'm in my little office in the boiler room so often i've taken 3 hour long naps and no one's even noticed
Sounds okay i guess. Playing to your strengths.
I'm horny 24/7. I really want to sex someone. and lick their toes haha
How did you get qualified for it? Trade school?
>How did you get qualified for it? Trade school?
Yes, but mostly it was working for some time with a family friend who owns an HVAC company. Experience is infinitely more important than education in these jobs.
Don't neglect your circle, hound your family or friends for work to get your foot in the door
we dont get underwear
How do i get that kind of job?
I am a firefighter. 24 hour shifts twice a week is sick and it can be fun to hang out with your buddies/coworkers but overall it is boring because 99% of calls are nonsense
Make good money? Thought that was all volunteer work.
>what is you're job
did you even go to school user ?
I'm a web developer, I don't make a lot of money and I don't do necessarily hard work, but I get paid to sit around at a computer all day so I'm not complaining.
I work in a major city and make 6 figures but most of the USA is volunteer, call or pay poorly so I do but for the most part no not at all
Haha lmao cold u imagine? Retard lmao
