Do upright rows with the cable machine, so you can vary the angle of your pull and spare your wrists. Use the rope attachment, too. Regularly pull the stack after doing this movement consistently for years as part of my shoulder routine and I have had no impingement. Pic is results, and I consider my shoulders to be shit-tier by genetics.
