So I plan on enlisting into the Air Force in a month or two, and am looking for some healthy/protein food and snacks to eat to keep my weight down.
Any suggestions?

Enjoy the Chair Force little goy
What's your AFSC? We don't have austic group pt like crayon eaters unless you're secfo or some other terrible job, so get used to handling your own fitness.
You're better off training up for the physical fitness test. Just stop cramming chips into your hole every hour and you should be fine.
A JELLY DONUT SIR.
A JELLY DONUT????????
Chair Force sounds easy money to me lol
I have civilian opthalmic tecnician experience but am looking to join for information specialist
I’m currently 6’2 187. Thinking of just eating beef jerky and healthy shit from now on
>information specialist
Intel? Those jobs are pretty rare on the enlisted side, so don't get your hopes up for it.
kek
What are the easiest Air Force jobs to get that pay decent/the most?
The one where you kiss the feet of your jewish overlords
Air Force is easy money.
You legit earn the same as dudes sweating their ass off in the desert for sitting at a desk.
If you want an easy life, don't pick any sort of maintenance or electrical career field - stick to general and admin, except don't pick security forces or services
Yeah, but that's all of them, narrow it down.
They all pay the same. You really need to do some research into this before you commit 4 years of your life.
Yeah I plan on only enlisting for four years, and don’t have kids or a wife so will spend all my money on Bitcoins and low cap shitcoins
>spend all my money
What money?
You need to hit E6 with at least 8 to 10 years before the pay gets decent
You probably won't make more than 27k (even less because of health care and social security which is automatically deducted) during your 4th year
You will probably join as E2 which only pays like 22k a year
You might as well work at McDonalds
I think OP meant to ask what jobs pay the most when he gets out of service. But if not, then he is fucking retarded and might as well go Army or Marines.
Literally just fucking run. Its that easy unless you're a complete twink push ups and sit ups are easy. Don't go security forces or maintenance. Go 4 years not 6. Don't be a fucking pussy I know its just the Air Force but please try not to embarrass the rest of us. Thats it. Also, learn that women are absolute garbage at staying faithful or you'll learn the hard way
Literal chair forcer speaking. I'm in comms so I do nothing but sit all day and do low level networking/IT crap, I get paid as much as secfo and maintenance but I'm not tired as fuck at the end of the day so I get to work out however I want. Usually the biggest dudes in the military have the cushiest jobs since we're the only ones with good enough hours to do as we please
Also air force, can you fix the god damn share drive? It's been down for 4 days.
Is this user speaking the truth about 22k salary?
I’m looking to being in comms when enlisted, and the salary says 45-50k year
Can confirm, maintenance is a shit.
dude the air force physical standards are a joke. literally just dont be a fat ass
He is, but he's ignoring that your housing, meals, medical, school, etc. are all paid for. You only make 22k cash but your benefits are way higher than that.
How about Comms? Any other AF positions I should suggest?
you get base pay which is shitty... like $1,700/month. But then you get allowances such as basic subsistence (food, $300/month) etc. etc. Healthcare is laughably cheap like $8/month and you don't have to pay rent... you live for free.
Basically that entire "base pay" you earn in the military is disposable income.
> willingly enlisting and fucking up your 20s
Don't do it user. At least do ROTC to get the full ride then jump to officer candidacy.
Not how that works at all. ROTC scholarships are incredibly competitive and you don't jump to "officer candidacy", you commission when you graduate.
Dunno how the AF works but if you have a degree and are in good shape you can become a Marine Officer Candidate pretty easy. They mostly just care about if you PT well.
+ the added bonus that they're about a million times cooler.
Personnel is just being a desk jokey but in camo. Medical is good if you plan on getting a job in that on the civilian side, intel is good but rare, and there’s spec ops shit but seeing as OP already doesn’t know about working out that’s a fat chance
militaryrates.com
You're going to be E1 or E2 when you join.
E2 pay 1,884 x 12 months = $22,608
You will probably hit E4 by your 3rd year, and won't make it to E5 before you get out
E4 pay 2,431 x 12 = $29,172
Subtract your health care, social security, life insurance, etc. You probably won't make more that 26k a year at most.
Do some research. The army pays by rank, not job. You either get payed as enlisted (you E1-E9), officer (O1-O10), or warrant officer (W1-W5).
Being enlisted you can climb to the highest rank (E9) with 20 years experience, and you will still only be paid 75k a year. Enlisted money sucks.
Agree. OP if your IQ is below 85 then the marines are a fantastic option. If you want to actually do something with your life and not just "train" for months at a time while accomplishing nothing then join the air force.
Forgot to mention, contracting is the best job money wise in the future. And cyber jobs are there but have been getting phased out by civilians
Why are you completely ignoring the free housing, food, and medical. I'm not a recruiter and I really don't care if he decides to join or not, but don't go around spreading falsehoods.
>food, $300/month
That money is taken out of your paycheck user
>Healthcare is laughably cheap like $8/month
And you get shitty healthcare from doctors and PA's that couldn't get into decent med schools because they're retarded.
>you don't have to pay rent...
True, but living in barracks sucks. You have to work CQ and will constantly get forced into recall formations. Possibly have a roommate in a tiny ass room. Although Air Force barracks are generally better than army or marines
What falsehoods am I spreading
Holy shit, I didn’t know the pay was that shitty.
Before off being an electrician apprentice or iron worker
>they're stronger than me so they must be dumb
>food
junior enlisted eat at the DFAC for free, which works out to be worth way more than $300/month
>healthcare
You generally don't need healthcare at a young 20 something in the military, but if you do I've had nothing but positive experiences.
>rent
airmen generally live in single dorms and share a kitchen. You're completely ignoring the BAH that members get once they move out of the dorms in your salary calculations. Things are a lot more attractive when you add $2000/month in tax free income to the salary.
Are you in the army? It sure seems like it.
>they're dumb so they must be dumb
have you ever worked with marines? even they admit they're the dumb branch
still compare it to being a college student
>have to take loans to even survive
>probably make about $22k or less with NO benefits
>probably have no health insurance
>pay out the ass for rent in a shitty apartment with shitty roommates
the military starts to not look so bad if you come from a poor family
as an E-5 in the Air Force conus I was getting about $4k a month in my bank account AFTER tax. Not bad at all. Kind of took it for granted while I was in and got out because I got tired of the politics and fuck fuck games.
How long did it become an E 5?
I made it my first time and started out as an E-1, it was a little over 4 years when I sewed E-5 on.
Holy based
This so much
Don't do it op
Umm air force is easy af. I joined army and seeing airfoce wishing i joind their brance (or navy) instead. Honestly there is a reason why its nick named "chair force" they do all the conputer behind the sceinse things. Only active part of them are the pj's and piolets.
>your probably fine user.
Would an electrician or iron worker be a better investment?
>Only active part of them are the pj's and piolets.
Yeah and all the mechanics, logistics, medical, etc etc personnel.
holy fucking ASVAB waiver, who taught you how to spell son?
Yes or just self study for a few IT certs and get IT jobs
how can i guarantee that if i enlist ill get to be a pilot
>enlist
>pilot
Good bait, got to me respond. But I actually am an Air Force pilot and it's the greatest job in the world.
Could I make good money in AF if I have decent programming skills and a Bachelor's?
this, unless you plan on being a PJ, TACP, CCT or Security Forces you will have a pretty easy time if you run bare minimum a mile every day and workout at least 3 days a week
what airframe?
yeah i might be a retard but im actually wondering how the fuck i can be a pilot
How do I become one
have you ever met a marine compared to other branches? it's known that from overall smartest to dumbest branches is Air Force then Navy and Army and Marines at the bottom. I didn't include Coast Guard for a reason.
not OP but honestly the only reason I decided to join enlisted instead of finishing college is because of the cost of college.
Currently a T-38 instructor
Assuming you're medically qualified its actually not that hard. You need a bachelors and you have to be an officer, but selection rates for pilots are absurdly high right now.
You’ll be fine. I have never seen fatter officers and SNCO’s than the ones in the Air Force. As security forces, like 70% of the enlisted, you’ll lose weight standing for 12 hours a day 4 days/week.
Selection last year for officers was about 99%. AF ROTC is the way to go.
t. 2.5 years cadetard
PJs and TACPS and CCTS and Mechanics and Logistics and Medical and Support and Pilots and etc.
do i just walk into the recruiters office and sperg out like "i wanna be pilot." i have absolutely no fucking clue how the hell you get to choose to be a pilot
Do you have a bachelors? If not, start there. Otherwise you can call an officer recruiter and see if you're qualified.
I came through OTS but it seems like ROTC is the safest bet if you want to fly.
wtf? Why is the AF so easy to get into right now? I literally went USMC because I assumed the AF probably wouldn't take me
holy fuck I'm dumb
please be bait, the closest thing you'll get to being a pilot in any branch is being a crew member, all pilots are officers
Where’d you graduate from? Are you training people in the 38’s or are you a trainer?
Not totally true. Army has WO pilots.
computer systems progammers rake in anywhere from 32k to 59k give or take
Retention overall is pretty shit DoD wise because of peacetime bullshit. Unless you plan on getting an associates and staying in school until SNCO ranks, don’t expect to make it in the Air Force.
I went to a small state school and then OTS a few years later. I'm an instructor pilot - not sure I understand your question.
Is officer just a more prestigious rank or do you also have to lead your own team and give orders to others?
im getting two bachelors right now. i just dont understand what you do to actually become a pilot. do i go in blind or something and pray. IM A RETARD
Military pay scales are all online. You get paid by grade, not particularly by skill.
No. You call the college closest to you that has a college contract with the Air Force and has an Air Force ROTC detachment.
Yeah, half the pilot slots are for Academy-fags, the rest are basically for ROTC cadets. Smol amount are for OTS. If you’re going OTS then don’t count on being a pilot.
You are dumb. You went USMC. Seems to fit lmao’ing at ur lyfe.
Actually there’s plenty of O’s that roam here and other boards. If they are not O’s yet, they will be soon. Good to know that your fellow autistic shitlords are dropping the bombs on brown people
The second one. You are the leader as an officer. You tell your people how to do shit and catch all the flak when they fuck up. You also get paid twice as much and get privileges.
because they have a shortage of pilots and they want as many people as possible to join up, honestly I heard rumors that they might start picking NCOs to fill the roles if they don't get enough people
Generally an officer is doing more of the leading/admin bullshit. A fresh 2nd LT will often be in charge of a platoon.
Its different for pilots though because they're mostly just focused on flying.
Oh never mind I’m retarded haha
As an O you’re a leader first
Maybe you should ask your recruiter or officers
it's basically like a business, you're the regional manager and you tell the employees what to do, if they fuck up then you get yelled at and then you get to yell at them
I doubt it. The requirements for being a pilot are pretty high. The average enlisted won’t meet the bar, and the above average probably don’t care for it unless there’s a big bonus involved.
ok so im already in college, am i fucked already or what, they dont have an air force rotc or whatever. it is so ambiguous on how to go from retard on Jow Forums to pilot
I knew that but already finished college and heard pilot OTS slots were competitive. I couldn't go back in time and make my college grades better so I just grinded till I could run a 300 PFT and went to USMC OCS.
Broke my ankle week 7 and they sent my ass home. I'm healed up now and got selected again to go back on September 7th.
I wanna fly so bad and its taking forever. Had I just tried the AF I would probably already be there by now.
Call an officer recruiter when you graduate - its that simple to start.
>If you’re going OTS then don’t count on being a pilot.
Disagree strongly with this. The last OTS class had like 70 pilots out of a total of 300 grads. Consider how many are guard/reserve/old/didnt want to fly and you have a good shot a pilot.
In all seriousness reddit has a ton of info on this.
The issue isn't with finding people who want to be pilots - there are literally millions - the issue is getting pilots to stay beyond major.
Are there any beta officers who can't lead for shit? Like the typical sperg you'd find on Jow Forums
yes
Tfw wanna join Air Force but don't meet minimum weight requirements
What do I do lads? I gotta gain 20 lbs by like, December
There are dumb fuck retards that skated a liberal arts degree and probably shouldn’t be allowed near a loaded weapon, yes. They typically get phased out and sent to bumfuck nowhere or get sent to working parties though, like stocking vending machines or some shit where they’re not in charge of anyone.
I dunno, maybe gain 20 lbs by December?
Going off experience from the Army the majority of officers are literal spergs with no social skills, they get thrown into the fire as soon as they graduate college and have to order around people the same age + senior ncos who have been in since they were in elementary school. The ones like that peak at O-3 and never get promoted past that though.
yeah and the above average enlisted are probably in one of the SF roles like PJ, CCT, or TACP
if i go into OTS and they don't allow me to be a pilot am i stuck in the air force then?
Ss+Gomad and 3 donouts
Yes, but you know your job before you go.
I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum and have to lose 20 pounds or prove my BF% isn't absolute garbage, luckily the recruiter I talked to said it shouldn't be too difficult to get me considering I'm not overweight in the sense that I'm super fat
so i dont have to commit before they tell me what job ill have?
Correct, but it's a long process before you find out if you're selected/your job
hey man thats all i needed thanks
