I have sort of liked one of my best guy friends for a while now but I havent made it known in fear of hurting our friendship. Normally I would never go here for advice but I think it might give me a new perspective. So any thoughts on how to see if he feels the same way without putting our friendship at risk?

I had the same issue with my best friend of 7 years. I confessed to him a while back, but I emphasized how much I valued our friendship, and how I didn't want to ruin things. He was terribly shocked, and didn't feel the same way about me, but we talked it out, and thankfully our friendship is still the same. If you're confident that you can smooth things out or that he'll be reasonable, then I say go for it. It hurt for a bit, but I'm almost happy it turned out this way.

Gonna have to agree that this is probably not the best place to ask for advice, but I'm sure you already know that. I think you should just tell him how you feel but word it in a way that if he doesnt feel the same way it's not awkward for him to say so. If he's really your friend, he'll still want to be friends with you even if he doesn't feel the same way provided you don't make your confession super pushy or uncomfortable. Do you think it's possible he has feelings for you too? It's probably not worth saying anything to him if it seems pretty obvious he only sees you as a friend.
