Because you haven't been doing it. Starting from a totally average, not fat baseline, it takes about 1--2 months for cardio to stop sucking and start becoming somewhat enjoyable. It also depends on the type of cardio and how you do it. For instance, mountain biking an intense trail somewhere beautiful with good music, vs running on a treadmill indoors with no music. Both are effective cardio, but one is fun while the other is basically torture. If you're a lazy weeb, get a rowing machine. You can row for hours while watching anime and barely break a sweat or feel sore depending on the pace, but still burn tons of calories.
