Emptiness. Vacancy. Fear. Despair. Autism.

Replace Joy with a second Anger.

The normal five except Fear has a big red button labelled "HYPOCHONDRIA" on his panel that locks down the board for everyone else.
Ethan Miller
How much of an influence does Autism have on the others? Is he one that's always fucking up?
Dominic Torres
I'd say autism would be more of a physical limitation in the context of the metaphor. Like instead of sitting in comfortable chairs in front of a giant viewscreen, the emotions have to sit in a cramped old-timey phone exchange office.
Nice thread OP. Mine are probably something like: >1. Temptation / envy >2. Ambition / big dreams >3. Laziness / lack of discipline >4. Fear and insecurities >5. Vanity (Number 3 massacred no. 2 long ago, then performed marriage ceremony for 1 and 4 who finally had a baby named Addiction. Thats who's at the helm ever since.)

>Sadness >Fear >Joy >Obsession >Obsession again Fear is always at the wheel along side one of the other two of the top three Both obsessions have their own secret wheels All of them have slight anger issues
Daniel Phillips
Disgust gives me such a boner for some reason. She just needs a good pounding is all.
Adam Brown
>Not wanting to pity-fuck Sadness and over time slowly build her confidence, will to lose 30 pounds and become quasi-attractive clingy nerd gf
Jacob Brown
>thinking she wouldn't dump you to experiment with Disgust after she got hot
Nathaniel Cox
>Sadness >Love >Resentment >Desire >Obsession
Gabriel Anderson
Sadness would catch oneitis for her first (she is most certainly a virgin) and would never leave him alone. She'd be yours forever with all the bad and good that comes with that, if able to get hot wouldn't be too bad but shed never leave or cheat and would fall to pieces whenever you showed interest in anyone else. Plus fucking Disgust and doing unspeakably nasty things with her on the low would only be that much hotter knowing you're sneaking around on pathetic cling on geeky girl sadness
Nice, Disney is so desperate that they're making a movie which happens to use the same idea I had but discarded on account of it being utterly retarded. I am literally watching my own shit being recycled into a box-office feature.
I should get in contact with some execs and just demand they pay me for standing on their desks and shitting in their mouths one by one.
Did Osmosis Jones plagiarize your original concept too?
Hudson Ward
There are more than five but the most common five are >Me but better in every way >Perverted and abrasive >Brainlet >Indifference >Talkative one that gets the others all riled up
Jason Cook

Personifying every single thing you can think of to get fodder for relatable characters you can plug into yet another Hero's Journey iteration is pretty common, sure, although I hadn't heard of emotions being quite fleshed out into full characters before I thought of it.

>anger and fear are portrayed as male in the film
What did they mean by this?
Thomas Jones
Illustrated 1. Spastic emotional hyper-hedonist 2. Guy who keeps saying ridiculous shit to keep entertained 3. Autistic faggot spieling about ascetic ideals 4. Nervous wreck who is always 100% sure the worst possible thing will happen 5. Apathetic slob who is the only one that can use the controls
That movie was so bad, praised because of Pixar inertia
Zachary Bennett
1. Anger. 2. Anger. 3. Anger. 4. Anger. 5. Anger.
Chase Peterson
What did they mean by anthropomorphicizing sadness and disgust as female? Toy Story 3 was the last good film Pixar produced before jumping the shark. Fuck em.
Eli Reed
Anger Fear Sadness Arrogance Curiosity
Fear is by far the biggest and strongest emotion, but doesn't realize it, and acquiesces to others if enough of a fight is put up. Arrogance would be constantly fighting with fear about whether to do or not to do something, while anger would force through decisions that they couldn't come to themselves. Anger and curiosity occasionally work together to create malicious and/or mean-spirited plots for me to carry out. When arrogance joins in on these plots, success is less likely, but often a lot sweeter.
Sadness is an anomalously oppressive hypnotic presence that is invisible most of the time, but she appears once a week like clockwork, and during that time, the only other emotion that isn't completely paralyzed is Anger, who can just barely speak.
Fear & Sadness is in control among people. When in private Anger takes the wheel. Disgust is always sitting there pushing a button when she sees anyone else. Joy was imprisoned in the closet decades ago went crazy and now she eats her feces.
Dylan Rivera
>Frustration The elected leader of the bunch, drives actions and thoughts to avoid dis-contentedness, but monopolises everyday life and blots out the other, weaker members. >Despair The actual leaders. Their grasp is so insidious that every action secretly runs according to their plans. They have no end goal. There's always another behind the first. They are as much a prisoner as their pawns. >Righteous Anger Volatile, noble, but mad. Sometimes he takes the wheel and it feels so good. But is he really righteous, or just deluded? >Fear Commands attention when it speaks, but it has learned to be quiet, or it is shackled up. It hides the keys to the richest emotional vaults, pray that it doesn't open them. >Hope Barely a glimmer in the corner. Her spark burns brightly for only an instant before she collapses again. She is dying.
