Depends on the tendon injured and the grade. General advice is to do rehab then strengthen surrounding muscles.

Are you retarded? Do you know how important your rotator cuff is in nearly EVERY upper body movement? Keep pushing it and you'll end up being one of those guys who is in his late 20s and can't raise his arm above his head, John McCain style.

If something is torn, you need surgery. I've never heard of someone pulling a rotator cuff muscles and having it magically heal on its own. So, unless you overdid it one day and it has taken a few days to get better, you need to stop with the chest and overhead movements and go see a doctor

I had rotator cuff surgery a while back. I tore half of the cuff from sports. I basically just push through the pain, once I get my blood pumping I dont feel anything.

Jk i dont really have that much painn in my shoulder anymore. When you do bemch press or anything else push, try to lcox your lats into a stabilizing position. ive noticed that help. Also focus on developing the muscles in your shoulder, i read a study a while back that the best treatment other than surgert was to jist build enoigh muscle in your shoulder where a rotator cuff would be more or less obsolete. Dont quote me on that though.

It's not necessarily torn. Could be the biceps tendon getting strained and inflamed in a tight rotator cuff area. Take naproxen or ibuprofen for a few weeks (some research says it lowers test.) And ice it often. Stretch frequently to open up the rotator cuff and minimize the risk of impingement causing more Inflamation.

YouTube rotator cuff strengthening videos and use elastic bands and cables to slowly build up your rotator strength and external rotation strength.

How do rotator cuff injuries even happen? Serious question, been lifting for 2 years, only get the occasional wrist tendonitis from pushing too much but never had any shoulder pain whatsoever.

i dont do lifts i cant do without getting pain; flat bench for example
never go heavy on lifts i can do, but hurts if i go too hard; like incline bench and chest flies
focus purely on strength gains on lifts i can do with no problems; like ohp
do a lot rear delt work, very light weights
focus autistically on form
live with it and dont ego lift

I partially tore both of my supraspinatus at the same time when unracking a warmup set of 60kg on incline bench, didn't feel any strain or pain beforehand, absolutely ridiculous way to do it, did not see coming at all either

Do floor presses and movements that don't hurt your joint
