if you pull on the string to bring it back down to the right pitch with this system, it wont work. it treats your tuners as anchor points for returning to pitch.

go for that method on any other guitar though, or even strats if you're not tuning them how they were made to be tuned.

The only problem with this is that the strings will go back out of tune if you don't use the whammy bar enough. They tighten back up. So you basically need to retune the guitar over and over and over again. It's better to just not use the whammy bar on a strat.

or just learn to tune... in fact most tremolo systems that are tuned this way never go out of tune. the only reason locking tremolo systems exist is because it was based on this ideology.
this tuning method takes literally only a minute longer than normally tuning to get it set up. and then you can tune faster than the standard method everytime.

Strats are nice but I'd prefer something with a set neck or anything that allows easier access to higher frets.

you're fucking stupid, seriously. there are two anchor points, the tuning peg and the string hole on the bar. you pull the string you are stretching the sting, you can pull the string more than the tremolo can stretch the string. seriously, stop posting. tuning problems are caused by the string not being stretched enough, or the string slipped a bit on the tuning peg. if you dont have a locking nut and beat the shit out of the whammy bar you're going to have tuning problems.

For me its a martin d28 and nothing else because I am virtually unplugged besides work and Jow Forums and only care about bluegrass/newgrass, delta, and american folksong. Can also use it for French/gypsy style jazz.

Hmm... okay basic run down that will get you playing fast.
Learn your douchebag open string chords called the CAGED system (look it up). Learn how to make these chords higher up the neck by barring your first finger.
Learn your minor pentatonic scale. Start the minor pentatonic scale from your pinky of the root note (same pattern scale) and now its your major pentatonic scale.
Learn your major scale and your natural minor scale
Learn the other 5 scales (called modes) that reside within the major scale. The natural minor scale(aeolian mode) is just the 6th degree (note) of the major scale (ionian mode)

this is just some basic shit if you want to improvise fast. eventually it all comes down to your rhythm and individual notes of chords to becomes a "master" improviser.

This is some basic shit you'd find on reddit asking for some first time advice, don't be afraid to look there.

Also for the love of God, devout half your time playing with your fingers and the other half playing with a pick. With your pick for the love of God, learn how to pick upwards on off beats, and downwards on downbeats the "and" of down beats as well. Learn the difference between the feel of strumming 8th notes all downpick vs up-down.

Also nothing wrong with being a 100% flatpicker or finger picker either way so long as you can practice then execute your goals. Flatpickers can always hybrid pick, and finger fags can always emulate Jeff beck and wes Montgomery and just pick w their thumb til they have a huge corn / callous there to use as a pick. It does achieve a pretty tone. Wes is probably my favorite jazz soloist after sonny Rollins. Big band swing and post-bop combos are best jazz besides gypsy/French hot.

Its a guitar. Change the pickups if they buzz too much. The only problem that comes is over time things like the shitty wood choice in neck wood and truss rod might make it prone to warping (very unlikely). The frets might suck, happens a lot but is fixed when you buy from somewhere like sweetwater before getting it shipped.
