Lmao, I was a complete loser at 20 as well. You have so much time to change that though.

it might feel like you fucked up and youve lost so much time and are behind, but thats only because you are young and retarded
wait tillyou hit 30 without having done anything thats when it really sets in

protip: dont wait

I was a complete loser at 20. Now I'm 25 and I'm doing far worse than back then.

the thing is, that i don't even know what my goals are
i just don't want to suffer

my next goal would be to get some money
i am currently -19 euros on my bank account

but what's next?

It aint that bad. You have plenty of time.

Get a job, any job at this point so you build cash flow. Do you live at home, pay rent? Can you use mass transit, bike to work while you save for a car? Assuming cars are viable where you live. Once you get your own transportation you can travel further for a better job. Keep saving, save up for your own apt. Whats your credit score like? Is that even a thing in Euro? If so, start building your credit ASAP so you can benefit from it in the years to come for larger purchases and ease of use. These goals will lead you to independence which leads to uncovering what you actually like to do. If you invest time into something and realize you dont like it, dont give up. Now you know one thing you dont want, and try another.

>Do you live at home, pay rent?
i currently live at my moms house and pay her 250 euros rent, i get 300 euros a month without working

>Can you use mass transit
i am in the 13th grade of school and had my final exams few weeks ago, which means in about 3 months i never go to school again and than i have the highest normal possible school degree in germany
my school is 6 minutes away so i don't need a car

>Whats your credit score like?
i never took a credit in my live so it's unchanged from the point where i was born, in germany it isn't so common to get credits as in other countries
i am currently -19 euros minus on my bank account but i can pay that back

thx for the help so far user
i have some stuff here that i could sell to get some 100 - 150 euros

When you think of cool guy what do you envision? How do you get closer to him?

Hey, cheer up man, it's only going to get so much worse.

t. 24

Cheer up buttercup, you have so much to live for. In three hours, if you're still feeling like shit and wanna die, the rope is there for you. Swing fast, friend.

having a lot of money and living independent from this world, not being a wage slave

But what does your cool guy do with his independence? He has his money and then.......

It will get better if you put in the work.
Dont fall into the flowchart mode trap

he has an gf, maybe an apartment in a save area maybe tokyo or anywhere where he can /nightwalk/ without being disturbed

also enough money to go in a bar or restaurant and don't have to check how much money left 24/7

Now you have a plan, work out how much money you need and then find some government statstics on the average pay of jobs. Pick one you hate the least.

As far as credit score, I am speaking from an American pov. I had zero credit, no help from the parents or anyone to help cosign so I was deemed not credit worthy. So I got myself the lowest secured credit card I could. Wells Fargo had the lowest at the time 300 USD. With that I was able to build my credit into an unsecured card in 8 months. A little while after that I was able to get an AMEX with substantial limit. Im not saying this so you get caught in consumerism but it is important to recognize the world sees you as a number and the higher that number the better off you are. Its mostly a mid to late game thing but best to start now. I wish I did this at 20! Having a decent cash flow and the ability to have credit when you need can speed up your independence through more purchasing power and lower rates for certain payments. But as with most things worth while, they take time and initial investment to get it rolling. If you have any other questions just ask. I wouldnt consider myself highly successfully but Im doing well and striving for more.

Make those your goals, and work towards them. Do you have any hobbies or interest that you could maybe make a job out of, like coding or art or music?

i started programming when i was 12 years old

i started programming an AI few month ago, got quite far but then i deleted the wrong part of my hard drive and everything was gone

maybe i will rebuild this AI again, would be fun

Best advice on this board I've ever heard

Become a self motivated chad bitch here's your wakeup call neet.

Hobbies are good, but in my honest opinion they should be put on hold until you find yourself stable and not in the red. Foregoing this will benefit you later. Once you are stable you can slowly bring the hobbies back into your life, after work or on the weekends. And then potentially make side money from them or simply just enjoy them. But imo put them aside and take care of the most basic and essential priorities first. Job, place to live, transportation, while going for your next goal.

Welcome to the club, chap.

20 is a crisis point for many robots (myself included) because you realize your teens are permanently gone and they were terrible while for some other people they were amazing.

the bright side is that 20 while not young, isn't old either. you have until 25 to get your ass in gear and fix your life imo. if you turn 25 and you are still a neet pos then you really have something to mourn. until then try to turn your life around.

I'm actually only 21 op and will be 22 soon. when I hit 20 I had a crisis like you, but imagined myself turning 30 and having similar regrets about wasting my 20s (which by many are considered the prime of your life). I used that as motivation to get my ass in gear and now with almost 2 years passed since then I can say I'm definitively moving in the right direction. I don't know if it will be in one or two years, but I think by the time I hit my mid 20s I'll have things figured out, and that's seems just fine by me.

basically, use the fact that you wasted your prime teen years as motivation to not waste your 20s. the worst thing you could do is waste the rest of your prime years regretting missing a ship that already sailed, then hitting 30 and realizing there was another ship all along that you were too busy moping to notice and board.
