There is no such thing as "too far gone". All it takes is time and discipline.

Start by walking or swimming (swimming preferably due to joint stress). A stationary bike may also be good. Get in an hour a day at -low intensity-. There's no need to jump straight into lifting or intense cardio, at your point the goal is body fat loss without destroying your joints or muscles. With the amount of weight you're moving by just existing, simple things like walking will be enough.

Cut soda and fast food NOW. Water only. Figure out your TDEE and start eating under it. Your TDEE has to be massive so cutting out junk food will probably already do the trick, honestly.

If you can afford it, talk to a doctor. At this point your weight is a health concern. Express that you want to lose weight and talk about your plans. You may get referred to specialists to help you along. If you can't afford this (cuz lol American healthcare), that's okay. There is plenty of easily accessible info floating around.

This is a process thats going to to take years. It's not a quick fix - like anything fitness related it will require major realignment of your lifestyle. The things you have done to get to this point may be comfortable to you, but they are also what's killing you. You HAVE to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

They may never look normal again, but they can still return to a relatively normal level of body fat and fitness. The scars of the skin and joints will be a permanent reminder, yes, but there's still stuff someone in that condition can do.

Yeah, I dropped 170 lbs and have come to terms I'll never be normal. My body literally fights against me to stay lean. If I'm not lifting 7 hours a week and paying attention to my eating I'll put on 20-30 lbs in a month.

The loose skin really shows up except for serious problems spots when you hit 10% body fat. Even then, I feel comfy taking my clothes off at the pool.

The biggest thing is just to fill your skin back up with muscle. Get on a HGH cycle and get your T-Levels checked, if you already have low T I'd recommend getting on a harder steroid cycle, DECA specifically is great for bad skin and filling your problem spots up with muscle. Tren will put on the same amount of muscle, but its not going to leave your skin shity.

for me it was pizza and hard liquor. Hard liquor doesn't really make you fat, but if you eat lots of carbs and drink hard liquor, your body will burn the liquor and store the carbs.

5'6 manlet emperor here, 4 years ago I was 315lbs. Beginning of this year I was 260, today I'm 170. I absolutely do look like shit with loose skin galore on my thighs and stomach, but it's all worth it just to be able to finish a work day without my knees aching. I got here purely with an active job and eating at a deficit, though at this point I'm gonna start exercising because I want to turn this remaining fat into muscle rather than flaps of skin.

I am going to get some surgery, but I did some "banding" on some spots I couldn't wait for. Basically you can get animal / farm castration banders used for cutting off circulation ... then once any really nasty hanging stuff turns purple / black, you can go to the ER and get it taken off for like $100-$200 instead of the like ... $10k+ for a decent body lift.
