Ive "intermittent" fasted for 6 weeks and I am down from 20%bf to 11%bf. I have a very healthy diet and as soon as I reach goal bf% im going back to maintenance calories 3 meals a day with my new skills in cooking and lovely, low cal high protein high fibre recipes :) go eat another whole pizza fatcunt

I'm gonna assume you mean long term fasting, as in multiple days because there are plenty of examples of people doing intermittent fasting. Well of course you don't hear about athletes fasting, what would be the point. Nobody says fasting multiple days on end will help your performance or will make you bigger, we just say it's healthy to do it once in a while. Hell aside from IF I do one long fast(5-7 days) maybe 3-4 times a year?

first of all is the craving/addiction, which naturally goes away once you abstain from the junk. I used to drink 2/3 liters of Coca Cola every day, now I don't even want to taste that shit. just beating that sugar addiction alone will allow people to maintain their weight after fasting.
secondly, every pro-fasting source I saw recommended healthy and small refeeds, preferably low-carbs. Only an absolute retard would fast for a week and then eat a giant pizza and then fast again.
And fasting beats the worst culprit of fat gain, which is snacking/continuous eating. You're learning a discipline that no other diet can give you, to only eat once a day or once every two days.

It depends on who does it, how, and for what purpose. I fast to make my cuts shorter, and I maintain my strength by lifting (at a greatly reduced volume) and keeping them short. This allows me to finish my cut in one week instead of 8+, so I can bulk 90% of the year while staying lean. You should try it, it works.

Most people get visibly upset when I tell them I fast. Been fasting on 1 meal a day with a huge calorie surplus for about 2 years now and lve gained about 15/20 pounds of muscle and my physique looks like it was cut from granite
