>5'10, 285 lbs, have been lifting seriously for the last couple months
I have a dilemma, bros. On one hand, I want to lose weight and experience what it feels like to live as a human being. On the other hand, the strength and lean muscle gains are so fucking addicting, especially when I'm making pretty fast progress on the basic compounds. What should I do? Should I just go full bloatlord?
285 at 5’10 is stupidly overweight, look at Kyler Murray he’s 5’10 and fucking jacked and he’s nowhere near 285. You should shoot for that type of body
Camden Hill
You can. Super obese people are the few that can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time.

Until you reached lower bf% levels, this isn't a issue at all. Cutting/bulking is one of the biggest beginner traps.
Ryder Cook
I was planning to see how far my strength will progress before I plateau, and then afterwards start cutting. I'll probably start /fraud/ing once I do.
I'm pretty sure that's mostly a myth. Also, I think I'm pretty close to maxing out on noobie gains, if I haven't already, since I've been lifting on-and-off for a couple years.

Agreed.
You can make solid strength gains on PSMF if you're a fat fucker.
Anthony Rogers
Tried that already. I made zero gains and at one point it was a struggle to even get out of bed. PSMF might be a way to retain muscle on a strict cut, but it's not going to gain you anything unless you're an extreme beginner.

>comes here for advice >rejects advice seems like you already made your shitty decision, why even make this thread

Yes, it's hard. That's why most of you 'people' choose to remain slug creatures. Just put the fork down and stop worrying so much, worst case scenario you put over 100 pounds on your squat and DL that you won't be dragging around everywhere.
Parker Reed
dude looks like a melted candle
Jace Taylor
Fair point. I guess I'll just have some fun with the gains and see where I go from there. I like to think that anything I decide to do would beat my old lifestyle either way. >worst case scenario you put over 100 pounds on your squat and DL that you won't be dragging around everywhere What does that even mean?
Jordan Davis
You're fucking 285 pounds at 5ft 10, take the advice and learn.
Jeremiah Bailey
dont listen to the twinks on this board, keep eating big and lift heavy, abs are for little kids, gotta get huge buddy
Nathaniel Stewart
He can be both. That nose and those glasses makes me think he's a jew.
