Not OP, but my hair line is thinning. Would working out in any way (cardio, lifting, etc) help preserve it? I've never been a Jow Forums guy for my whole life. Slide by on a fast metabolism, and nice hair. Hitting late 20s now and noticing my hair is thinning and I think poor diet and lack of exercise might have something to do with it as I've never been particularly health concious in the slightest. Been wanting to change that anyway regardless of hair, but this is also a concern for me. Any advice that isn't "Accept your fate" or "shave it"?

Minoxidil doesn't stop hair loss. It's a vasodilator which increases blood flow to the hair follicles but doesn't address the underlying issue. You'll continue to lose your hair all the same just a little bit slower. Only finasteride/dutasteride are proven to stop hair loss.
