When people usually say they bench press 200lbs are they saying they do it in 1rep max or 10-12?

They did it once, spotted, and still got a hernia.
was probably 10 years ago when they were young and fit.

1 rep

Wow that puts thing into perspective.Never done 1 rep max, does it have benefits or is it just used to test your record?

the befefit is it allows you to grow your epeen by 25% even tho you're a dyel irl and ngmi

Personally if I can't do at least 3 reps I consider it as a failed set and don't even count it.

>eddie hall can only deadlift 500kg for 1 rep lmao what a dyel

They usually mean 1 rep max but want you to think they mean 10-12 reps.

NOOOOOOOOO shes gonna get an uneven tan!!!!!!

it means they press 180lbs for one single rep

slight difference there user

There are calculators and all but only a weight lifted is a weight that counts for sure. And doing a 1 rep max outside of comp.prep. is just stupid. So say the weight you lifted for the reps you did, because you dont want to be a pretending faggot

stop samefagging, user.

Please user, don't associate me with that footfag.

absolutely fucking this.

t.dyel

I could do it 10 to 12 but i normally for bench do 245 5 sets of 5 reps

Why would you do five sets at the same weight? That doesn't make any sense. Do you do warm ups? Why not do two warm ups and a higher volume or higher weight for the last two? Seems like you are going to hit the wall pretty hard that way. Probably tear a peck or dick up a cuff as well.

I never tell any of my marks in the gym to people without mentioning relevant reps and sometimes sets.

I always wondered is 1/2/3/4 supposed to be a 1 rep record or your regular training 10 rep?

If I can't do 5 reps it doesn't count.

It means they lift 100 pounds 10 times so they think yea I could lift 200 pounds once

You mean 8 you DYEL

they usually mean 1rep, otherwise one might add "for reps" if you can do 3+

I only know one boomer in my gym who can bench 200 lbs for 15 reps. This guy never used the bullshit hernia excuse, 68 years old and still strong as fuck. He has a brown tomboy Puerto Rican wife who spots for him. She's also really strong.

:c don't be a meanie

500kg for one is very different from hey i dead 2pl8

jeff???????

No

Most people who say they bench 200 are actually benching 135, possibly for reps but not for certain, and are just lying

thats exactly what he would say, well are you still 5'3???

200lbs is not that special for bench. It should be your working set weight in 6 - 9 months.

I do warm up lol but those are my main sets is what i meant my b. I usually end w a set on 255 at 5 reps

I'm 5'11

maybe if you are a turbo manlet with short ROM

if you can't 20 rep 200 lbs, you are dyel

Based

I benched 190 3x5 last week and I'm a 6 month dyel

>regular training 10 rep?
Imagine regularly doing compounds lifts for 10 reps lmao

*crack*
Yep
*sips*
Those were the days.
