I can't pull up my own bodyweight, anons. Fuck it...

I can't pull up my own bodyweight, anons. Fuck it, FUCK IT! I am feeling like a girl doing this on the machine with 25kg assistance.

Broke my collar bone 3 times and I can't press half my body weight. not a nice feeling.

dude, just install a pullup bar in your house. Do negatives everyday and do them as slow as you can.

>feeling like a girl
kek, fuck you. I can do more pullups than you.

>kek, fuck you. I can do more pullups than you.
t. < 50kg twig

lift weights faggot, i went from 0 to 4 reps in a month.

Bodyweight is hardly significant for men with pull ups unless you're genuinely obese. If you can't do them, you just need to do the progressions.

Negatives and dead hangs.

Source? The numbers on symmetric strength (which are based on its thousands of users) are different.

hey, girl here. not a twig and I add 10kg. suck it

not op but ty for this will use.

>hey, girl here.
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

it took me like 5 months to be able to do 5 push-ups from being able to do 0. is that normal?

I can pull up my own bodyweight (80kg) with 25kg added and for reps. Get dabbed on
Stop doing them assisted. Start doing negatives. Chin ups (palms toward you) may be easier.

Do lat pulldowns until you can do regular pull ups, using the assisted dip/pull up machine is bitchmade

Will I improve if I keep doing 4 pullups? Its the maximum I can do.

Yes. 4 reps is a good range for big strength gains. Do 6x4 if you can.

Hey a power tower

It is a beginners and intermediates tell a gde what to do

Hey little baby, etc etc.

dude I know the feel, had full reconstruction on my upper arm and now my pressing is non existent kms

AAAAAA IM GONNA IM GONNA COOOOOM

I'm quickly progressing to a clean 1-arm pull up on both sides but progress is slow. What other exercises can I do to help get me there quicker? I'm guessing lat pulldowns and I already do weighted pullups at 35% bodyweight for reps

hey lil momma let me whisper in your ear
>traps arent girls

is there some pasta to go with this image

How do I do pull ups with no bar?

Stop using pull down machines.

Lose weight.

Jump up and grab the bar and pull as hard as you can. If you can't pull yourself up just pull and hold on. Do dead hangs, flex hangs, partials as far as you can. Do negatives as slowly as you can.

And lose weight.

Step 1: Get a bar.

Hi

feet

Bro, I am 5'9'' and 65kg... just started lifting 5 months ago... I use a wide grip btw

if you are/were a landwhale then yes

There's a pretty big learning curve with pull ups. I started out being only able to squeeze out one leg-kicking, body-flailing rep PER DAY. Lat pulldowns do help but the key is to just do them as often as possible. Work your way up to doing pyramid sets. Using that method I was able to do 24 strict pull ups in a row at 220pounds about a year ago. Havent tested for improvement recently.

Maybe you are a girl?

>tfw can only do 7, or 8 if i shit myself

Narrow your grip to less than shoulder width. Wider the grip, harder pullups are.

PLEASE tell me you have that copypasta in Spanish

>Pullups with +10kg
You must be over 18 to post on this website.

>I can't pull up my own bodyweight

truly embarrassing

Yes. Yes it is embarrassing. Which is why I'm embarrassed.

How bout chin ups or neutral grip? Just keep trying. Once i struggled with 2 pull ups now after 6 years i can do 2 with +75kg at belt

>mi cara cuando pienso en ti sufriendo

i weigh 180 from 230-240 and im 5'9". i've just recently gotten into lifting. i dont really have a lot of upper body strength since i'm a girl, but my housemate has a pullup bar over a doorframe. what should i start with besides deadlifts? im already doing those.

how the shit did that happen m8?

tits or gtfo you filthy slapper

>start off by doing dead hangs and hold on for as long as you can.

>do a pull up or chin up and go up as far as you can and lock your arms in that position.

>after holding for how ever long you feel comfortable doing that, slowly lower your body until your back in the dead hang position

>keep repeating this until you can do one full pull up / chin up

also dont do pulls/chin ups everyday, instead do them every other day until you can do a few of them in one set

lol i have the exact same power tower at home

doof and yeekspilled

He can also jump up or use a chair to just do the eccentric portion.

wanna do 1 arm pull ups? start off by wrapping your dominant hand around your other wrist, then proceed to pull your self up. To progress with this variation, move your hand down your arm until you can't wrap your hand around your forearm. You should be able to do 1 arm pullup by then. GL user.
t. i can do five 1 arm pullups.

I coooooooooming

Shoulder width grip is probably stronger

I can only wrap my hand around my wrist (not completely) so I can't really do these. I do the same with a towel, it's very similar. I grab the towel very low (below my elbow) while the lifting hand is on the bar.
I can do sets of 10 like this, but I'm nowhere near a one arm pullup. I even struggle with the negatives.

What am I doing wrong? My plan is getting a resistance band so that I can grab it even lower to get even less assistance.

no i was full skellymode 160lbs 6'2"

It depends on where you fail. Is your grip too weak? Maybe you don't have enough stability? Or maybe you are simply too weak? Identify that weakness and focus on it. I recommend doing negatives as you would with normal pull-ups and typewriter pull-ups to build stability

Honestly, just keep trying, focus on the muscles involved, like make sure you're using the lats and not trying to do it all with arm strength.
It's a big leap to go to one arm pullup.

If you weigh more then they are harder to do, common sense really.

I'm 214lbs and I can do about 5-6 or so, not like I put much effort into them though.

>Is your grip too weak?
I used to be but I started doing 1 arm hangs, after my workout

>typewriter pull-ups to build stability
I used to do them for a month but it feels like a different exercise. It doesn't really help me do more normal pullups / assisted 1 arm pullups, just makes me better at typewriter pullups.
Also I sis them & archer pullups with bad form for 2 months and ended up with a pinched ulnar nerve. Still recovering from that.

>Or maybe you are simply too weak
I think that's it. Ppl say that after being able to do 10 assisted 1 arm pullups I should be able to do a partial 1 arm pullup, but I can't even do the negative properly.

yeah, I'm not giving up. Just kind of hard to find a progression unlike with gym exercises.

Go hard on the lateral pulls user

So are pullups an everyday exercise or do u need rest days

>hey, girl (male) here. not a twig and I add 10kg. suck it

Negatives are proof that god intends for man to become stronger.

Am I suppose to do multiple sets of multiple sets? Like straith sets for example 3 pullups rest 1 minute x5 then rest let's say 3 minutes then repeat?

feet pics now

*learn to eat enough every day.
*work out on the same days each week, keeping a consistent routine is crucial for gains.
*do some cardio do warm up before your work out. i didn't used to do that because i figured warming up with easier reps of an exercise was enough. but what the cardio did for me was make me HUNGRY enough to get enough food into me.
*don't assume you know how to do even the most basic shit. read how to do it, re-read how to do it, read someone else tell you how to do it. watch videos about how to do it. do this every day. i still consistently learn things that could have saved me fucking years if i had known them before.

*when my x is sore one of my methods for working out if i need to rest it or not is i do my cardio warm up and see if it's still sore. nine times out of ten it isn't and a i just do my work out. a thing that fucked me up for a long time was i let resting my x until it didn't hurt hold me back. i skipped work outs and lost gains where i should have maintained consistency.

Bro I cant do a single pull up either. I want to join the Marines next summer so getting in shape is a priority, but listen if you are working out and eating right then your body will do the rest. Just keep fucking trying and one day u may

We are all gonna make it brah

Took me months to even get one clean pullup. 3rd month and now i can do 5. Never give up guys
