yes, massive gains goblin
If you're a skelly, no
If you're a hambeast, yes
This ain't gonna be ez....
This is all I ever hear with no source
I want it to be true but I don't think it is
Is that joe rogan
As long as you aren't doing it every single day, or getting high and pigging out on bullshit, you'll be fine. A lot of professional athletes toke up in their downtime. All things in moderation, user.
I'll start cutting down on my use then.
Rn doing 12hr fasting with a basic workout plan
i've been fat for far to long
Only ever smoke/vape in good company
Stick to this rule, don't be getting high alone
what? why? being high alone is the best shit ever
I'm pretty much high all the time and I work out daily and don't overeat. in fact when i'm high I get more motivated to go for a bike ride etc. I don't understand why weed would be a negative unless you're a fatty with no willpower in the first place
I smoke before I train, feels good man. I'm dyel though so there is that.
It makes you into a narcissist.
>makes you lazy
>makes you lethargic
>makes you hungry
>stimulates appetite even if you're full
Like first post said, it's a gains goblin and will only demotivate you if you're serious about not being a fat sloppy bitch anymore.
based
smoking a sativa or a good hybrid has the opposite effect of everything you stated
It's easy to quit honestly
the first week can be a total bitch if you've been hitting it super duper hard, for example if you're in a legal state and you consume tons of concentrates or whatever
after the first week it gets easier and easier
by the end of a month you won't even give a shit anymore
you'll find you're able to exercise harder without losing out as quick
if you smoke of course your lungs will be just biffed and the act of stopping smoking will give you that huge boost on cardio and everything else
just quit the shit is a waste of money
it turns you into a boring retard as well
if you want to hit more ass, smoke less weed
No, it makes YOU into a narcissist. Why do people always think their personal experiences are universal?
>t. fatass pothead
Gigachad has spoken.
If it kills your motivation or causes you to do something else that will negatively affect your gains then you should.
Some people can function really well though out the day high but personally I can't and a lot of the people I know who claim they can also can't
Marijuana is lame and will keep you from your goals. Don’t smoke that garbage son.
Love,
Your Dad
>a lot of the people I know who claim they can also can't
this is a common delusion when you're on it
you think you're ok but you're shit
Weed does nothing to affect your gainz. I smoke it to help for recovery, and a good sativa before training makes me focus on my reps like a motherfucker. Anyone saying weed fucks with gainz is bullshitting.
Arnold was a huge pothead in the 70s, and that was in his PRIME. Most bodybuilders were heavily involved in pot culture.
Same. Weed doesnt make me lazy, it actually makes me motivated
Weed doesn't demotivate you for shit. Thats just you. Weed mostly enhances your current mental state - if I smoke before the gym, I tend have a better workout.
Yeah
I have smoked weed for the past 5 years, every day. i am in my mid twenties now and have quit for 2 months and i honestly do not think i will ever go back, let me tell you man. Weed does have negative affects on your life, it is not as obvious at first like heroin/meth/coke abuse, but it is a slow drip, Yes you can indulge every once in a while but do not smoke weed all the time or make it a habit, you do not want to be the weed guy, i sure i am wasting my breath with this because i honestly do not believe you can learn from others mistakes, its just something to be mindful of brother, good luck.
Ahh finally someone with some basic knowledge of weed
>heroin in moderation
>self harm in moderation
>crack in moderation
Can you tell me some of the things you hated the most, especially now that you can confront it since you quit? I've been smoking daily for 6 months now, before that I took a two month break. It felt great but all it took was doing it again once and right away I made it a daily thing again. I've been smoking for almost 7 years with some breaks in between. It's crazy. I didn't realize that until I typed it right now. I could really use some reminders of why it is bad. For me, it has ruined relationships, caused tons of emotional harm, and makes me lie a lot.
Hey man it's human nature to try and pass on wisdom to your peers but sometimes people have to learn things on their own.
with 5 years of daily mj use you should be reflected enough to know that your experience is just that and even tho you give decent(albeit simplified) advice you should word it differently to actually get thru to someone and elevate it from
>me, therefore you
Did you ever have to hide the fact you used weed? For everyday users, the regular environment you get used to getting high in will determine your future if you think about it
Reasons not to smoke weed from my experience:
>>> You never have dreams while on it and your sleep is shit compared to falling asleep sober. ex(Now i fall asleep and get deep sleep that involves vivid dreams, not all dreams are good and some are nightmares but its from years of never dreaming)
>>> You are poisoning your lungs with tar and other carcinogens if you dab or do the vape dab pen, bong rips etc.. Ex(I stopped smoking flower last year and have vaped dab pens ever since now i am experiencing breathing problems)
>>> When you are high you are yourself but only 60% of your entire self, sure you can do things and activities but you are doing them cooked.
>>> It is an emotional crutch when processing hard emotions, ex(My sisters heroin addiction, mothers health issues i would get high)
>>> You blow off opportunities to do things with people that you think are boring because you would rather stay home and get high, go out and actually develop healthy relationships with people.
>>> Your memory is SHIT, you can have a conversation with someone and 15 minutes later not remember what you talked about (It DOES come back but you cannot make up for the lost time)
>>> It really made all of my anxiety 100% worse and im still working through it, i also find myself to be more emotional since quitting i have a lot of things i still need to process that i put off because when i experienced any hard times in life all i did was get high to avoid the feelings i had, and in hind site i see it was not the right decision, those feelings and memories never go away just because you got high they just go to a different folder in your brain and they are waiting for you.
to be fare i only had to quit smoking weed because i was experiencing shortness of breath, wheezing, constant coughing, i have gone to two different Dr's and they all tell me what im experiencing is Allergy induced asema, I am on mods and have an inhaler, i see a pulmonologist on Monday.
I would smoke weed with my family from time to time, my parents know every drug i have ever done or every stupid experience i have had, i have a family open relationship with my family. one of the first big road blocks was when my sister had to go to rehab for Heroin/Meth addiction, this made me reflect on myself and my decisions deeply, but i would always rationalize it "Its only weed", then when i started to experience breathing difficulties i could not smoke weed only eat edibles. i wanted to quit for a while i would always ask friends, "Do you think weed is bad" or "Do you guys think there are any negative affects to smoking weed all the time" but they where so lost in the matrix or just didnt want to see it, you have to cut those people out of your life. I could see myself casually going back to weed in the future once i healthy, but i would only get maybe a one hitter and do small buffs, there is no reason to take monster dabs, huge bong rips or worry about having weed on your person at all times. its not a healthy life to live and you are no different then any other addict.
>>> Steps off soapbox
Tell your family you love them and become the best version of yourself that you know you can be bros, we are going to make it! deep down inside you all know what you are suppose to do, you just do not do it because you are comfortable in the now, and change can be scary, not in thought, but in deliberate daily practice. but it gets easier, its like jumping into a pool that you know is cold, the hardest part is just getting started.
seconded, being high in good company is fun, but it is also fun alone
ABSOLUTELY
Why not just smoke weed every once in awhile? 2 -5 times a year?
Cut out all drugs. You have a new drug now. Its called achievement. Ive woken up with doms in my legs. It makes me feel high. But without the comedown and self loathing.
You're on the beginning of a new journey, how far you go is up to you.
It's literally single handedly slowed all my cuts by at least 50%
>You have a new drug now. Its called achievement.
Hank?
This.
I also experienced loss of focus, now that I'm off of this shit for weeks, I feel like my brain is finally working properly again.
And I'm sorry to hear that bro, hope you get better soon.
That's why weed is so insidious. It fucks you up indirectly, 2nd, 3rd order effects..
this
I smoked daily for like ten years.
It costs a lot of money. Now I only smoke once a week and watch a movie. It's great half a joint gets me stoned as all fuck. I grew 4 giant plants so that last me all year and I gave the rest away..
Try that, because I just quit without almost no effort, but it's not like I can't have any.
Comes down to habbit.
If you have the mental capacity to just exercise, on its own it doesn't eat up gains...
Makes it harder to stay on track.
I only vape it in the weekend. During the week I just deal with crippling emptiness inside.

Different people react to drugs in different ways.
I was a heavy pot smoker for years, but after a bad experience on hallucinogenics, I developed a strong paranoia reaction and had to stop.
Stopping was very difficult. I didn't sleep for a week, my temper went through the roof, I couldn't eat.
However, its been a few years since then and now I am very glad that I stopped. Smoking regularly made me slow, it ruined my memory, killed my motivation, and made it very difficult to think critically about my life and what I needed to do to change it for the better.
In my experience, SOME people can hit whatever substance they want as hard as they want and still function just fine. SOME other people can use in moderation and still function, and MOST people start off in moderation, and slowly ramp up to heavy use, with the substance in question making it difficult to function.
You may need to take a month off in order to think critically about the pros and cons of using, sort of like being able to see a relationship more clearly once its over.
Big Australian study posted last year. Basically anybody who smoked weed through their teen years experienced a drop in IQ compared to control group. Big study too, like 10,000 people over the course of 20-30 years. Basically if you smoked weed as teenager through adult hood, you are dumber than what you could have been. It’s basically been proven the weed is very toxic to developing brains.
With that all said, adults do experience decline in cognitive function as well, just not as bad. But if you compound adult weed usage for a decade or two decades straight... well, you’re going to be a burn out. The stereotype of a burned out pot smoker in his 40’s is very true, and it does represent a very real loss in IQ you don’t get back by simply quitting the drug. These effects are largely permanent.

With pot there is also a lot of cultural stuff that people tend to get involved with. If you smoke, you will tend to have friends who smoke. Social smoking morphs into "no matter what we are doing today for fun, don't forget to bring the weed". Surfing, camping, hiking, gaming, whatever it is, its an excuse to get together and toke up.
Worse, if your poor, or boring, then you will just "hang out" and smoke. Watch tv, walk to the food place. Play a game. All while hitting the pipe.
It just kind of creeps in and takes over your life. Some people watch 8 hours of tv a day. Some people do the same with video games or social media. In my experience pot smokers almost always get to the point where they smoke every day. If they are awake and not working then they are either high or looking forward to getting high.
If you can handle your substances, more power to you. I know A LOT of drug users; I grew up in a strongly drug positive environment. I don't know anyone who I would describe as being able to handle their substances.
My brother and his wife vape, and I NEVER see them without their machines.
My best friend from childhood is an irredeemable junkie who burns every bridge in order to feed his habits.
The three big families that my family hangs out with are al headed up by daily heavy smokers. These people are friendly and happy, but they are dirt poor and are facing the prospect of being 50+ years old with no resources to draw on as their health declines.
It gets you, is what I'm saying. It's also important, I think, to ask yourself why you feel the need to chemically change your mood as a recreational activity. What is it about your life that is dissatisfying, to the point where you want to dumb down and escape from it for a few hours a day? Maybe your time would be better spent making your life into something you don't need constant mental vacations from.
Well that depends on you respond to being high. If you don’t get lazy from it or eat a shitload after smoking then by all means keep doing it. All I can do when I get high is loaf around and play the guitar, so I can’t really do it much.
Could you post the study?
Can’t find the Australian study I mentioned and I can’t be arsed to look anymore.
Here’s a similar study with similar results though
>anybody who smoked weed through their teen years experienced a drop in IQ
correllation != causation, my friend
I still think smoking weed is retarded, but we have to be careful about the studies we reference. If we pile mountains of evidence on weedos, but they can point to one and say "see! you were wrong about this, so your whole argument can be ignored."
in this case, young drug users were more likely to already be of lower IQ BEFORE THEY STARTED SMOKING since they more often came from poorer households or households with weak parenting
Hahahahaha
I love you fallacy dorks. You only use it to deny things you don’t like. There’s plenty of research on the toxic effect of marijuana on teenage brains. But go ahead, tactically deny reality under the guise of “muh fallacy”
Smoking before a lift gets me hype and I have better work outs. I only smoke in the day if I have healthy food around tho.
It's not that physically unhealthy, especially if you only eat edibles, however for like 99,999% of people it slowly but surely fucks up you and your gains indirectly
