Prove me wrong

That's not sumo though

>only do rdl's
Am I missing out?

Photo is OP add credibility to statement.
On a serious level though, if your legs are further apart you have less distance to lift. It's frickin pythag. Don't get why it's allowed.

Cheat curls is cheating. Decline bench is cheating. Everything is cheating, the fuck does it matter.

The bar is suspiciously straight for diddlyin’ over 9 plates lmao wtf

Do you care about getting better at deadlifting?

If yes; yes.
If no; no.

Checked. This man is onto something

240 isn't heavy enough to cause significant bend in a regular power bar.

You're right, but so is mixed grip

Those are 100% 10# oly plates, they're way too thin to be 45s. We have the exact same ones at our gym.

yeah i mean also that's just not 9 plates, that guy is definitely not big enough to be pulling 855lb

What about snatch-grip sumo-stance conventional (i.e. hands outside legs) deadlift? Like pic related

It's not a competition stance so it's irrelevant to the question of cheating. Looks quite fun tho.

Anecdotal evidence doesn't count but I do find sumo much harder, around a 30kg difference for a top single.

I think the 45s are just extra wide and have those lines as a design, so it's 3 45s, then what looks like a 35 and 2 10s on each side

This is the correct answer.

>Prove me wrong
It's allowed in competitions, if it's allowed in a competition, it isn't cheating

Also there are people who find conventional deadlifts easier than sumo. I for example pull 220 kg conventionally as a max, I barely get up 190 kg when I try the sumo stance, so for me it's way easier to do it like, probably, you in the pic.

Btw. congratz on lifting that, how much is that? Looks like 240 kg at least.

>sumo dl is cheating
>even though all wr's are conventional
what did he mean by this?

Ah

IT'S 250KG RETARDS

AND I CAN DO MORE BECAUSE IM NOT RETARDED

t. conventard
Unless you're in a contest where the rules specifically tell you that you can't sumo deadlift it's not cheating

that's 3 pl8 + half and quarter, look into the shadow of the plates, you can see where the plates actually start and end.

No, I agree, OP.

t. 640 conventional deadlift

Sumo lets you lift more only if you're short. That's why you won't see any WSM guys do sumo.

trips declares facts

They're 55s. My gym has those plates.
