There's many studies that have found that supplementation of vitamins and minerals do not significantly affect or improve health unless you are severely deficient
This is regarding supplementation specifically, usually via oral capsule
There are still interactions between the body and actual whole, unprocessed foods that dieticians do not have enough evidence about to elucidate, but proper practice of nutrition professionals is to advise clients to choose whole foods over supplements

Many foods are thought to contain compounds that act in a synergistic manner with other nutrients, it’s not well understood but eating whole foods is objectively better than taking vitamin pills

yes, for the last billion years our lineage co-evolved with the organisms they consumed, so you can't understand animals very well outside the context of their food. not surprisingly, people who eat more like scavengers seem to do better than those who eat like factory feedlot animals.
Tbh I doubt we can absorb the full content. When I was cutting hard I ate a ton of nuts and still lost weight faster than when I ate an eqquivilant amount of calories in meat and carbs.
1000 Calories of nuts might pass through you undigested so that you only absorb 500 calories. So 1000 supposedly calories of nuts is not =to 1000 Calories of meat and potatoes.
Just my anecdotal opinion tho.
