Doesn't matter where you get it. Amazon is cheap.
Amount to take depends on your current levels and current UV exposure, as well as idiosyncrasies in metabolism.
If you're deficient or insufficient, you may need 10k-20k iu a day for months to get to optimal levels. If you're fine or close to it, 2k-5k iu may be enough to maintain.
It's all highly dependent so:
1. Test your levels
2. Dose based on that
3. Retest in 2-3 months
4. Adjust dose
5. Continue retesting twice a year or so
How much sun exposure do you need? i walk almost every day like 1 hour: head, hands, forearms, and legs uncovered. no sunscreen
On winter time, same but almost almost covered.
My 25OH Vit D: is 33.81ng/ml (reference 30-100ng/ml)
I eat around 150g canned salmon (or tuna) + 1.5l milk a day.
Do i need more?
I walk this much similar conditions. Take beta-carroteine, multivitamin (tiny extra amount of vit D3 in there obviously), and 4000 ui D3. I don't have access to blood tests any other way to know if I'm deficient or getting enough?
i bite the softgels instead of swallowing them whole. that doesn't make a difference, right?
> I don't have access to blood tests
Where do you live?
Yeah I'd probably be good to get a little more.
There's a lot of debate as to exactly what the ideal vitamin D level is. Vitamin D council puts it at 40-80
No reason to age yourself with more sun though
No difference. But you're weird
Somewhere where it ain't free to get blood tests.
>Too much sun myth
Unironically just wear a hat nigger.
It's like $60 in the US, pretty affordable
I got tested last time, my results are 55 ng/ml - am I in the sweet spot?
>Ain't free
>$60
Based capitalistcoomer
>150g canned salmon a day.

the fuck 60 bucks.
i got a 600 bill for total, free test, fsh and lh before insurance. only after was around 30.
american healthcare is an oxymoron.
according to my lab, you're ok, but i don't think something higher would be bad. it's very unlikely to be overdosed on vit d.
also, what should i get? d2? d3? another? all?
You have to be older than 18 to be on here
>throws a hissy fit paying money in exchange for goods and services
Reported to the HUAC
Yeah you're probably fine There's not a hell of a lot of great evidence one way or another from the point you're at.
I go outside.
I live in Michigan. I relish every second of sunlight whilst I can.
In the winter I buy the upscale supplements from Meijer's on sale with an MPerk.
But still go outside. Cardio in cold weather is based. Never overheat and childish slide antics.
>2019
>still falling for the supplement jew
It's like you gullible retards hate money
Taking Vitamin D gave me severe insomnia. Stopped it and it cured it in a day.
>Meijer's
Haven't heard this since I left GR, still irks me
I'm 30. How old are you zoomie?
t.vitamin deficient
lmao if you arent at 250% RDI on everything
That's why i was asking if with 33 from a 30-100 range is "less than ideal", considering i'm doing more than average to keep my vit d good.
I live in the tropics so I get it from sun exposure.
Dairy and sunlight exposure bro
d3
Everyone should take 10000IUs of vitamin D per day. thats enough for most people to reach blood levels of 100 nmol/L(40ng/dl)
The higher the blood concentration the lower disease rates aswell as all cause mortality. This is also the range for traditional people.

majority of time is spent indoors - work, gym. when im finished there is only few hours left. it is problem when summer is over.
First off, get your bloodwork done. If you have insurance, you can often get it done for free. It'll show you what your deficient in.
You don't need to take vitamin d if you're not deficient.
If you're too scared to get it done, then get vitamin d from Pure Encapsulations. They're the only supplement brand I trust.
And if you do take vitamin d supplements, then you need vitamin k to avoid calcium buildup in your blood. Usually you don't have to worry about that, but it's better safe than sorry.
Depending on how deficient you are, you'll need anywhere from 1,000-5000 iu.
The higher the dose you take, the more you'll want to take vitamin k
Doctors say you want 15 minutes of full body exposure. So the more you cover up, the more you need.
Remember to use sun screen. You'll thank yourself when you're 50 and not looking like a shriveled up raisin.
>Do you get your D3 from your supplement shop or pharmacy? How many UI is enough?
I get it from the sun
20000 to 40000 IU for free
> How many UI is enough?
It doesnt work that way you idiot, you need to take enough to have 50ng/ml, it could be 2000 IU, 5000, 10000, etc
>then you need vitamin k to avoid calcium buildup in your blood
Not K, K2, and mk4

>The higher the blood concentration the lower disease rates aswell as all cause mortality.
Well not infinitely.
See:
ergo-log.com
My guess though is that skin cancer rates could explain mortality on the higher end
How much IU should I take if I have 0 sun exposure? I have a night shift, so on a lucky day I may catch only 15- 30 minutes of sunlight. Some weeks I don't get any at all
See
do you know the optimal ratio of D to K2?
thats based on older studies that included people that were sick and got vitamin D because people thought it would help.
More recent data showes a dose reponse
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
plus, if you have the same levels like traditional populations and your pills dont contain any toxins i dont see why it would be negative.
