where's hapfthor? is he not doing the arnold strongman?

He doesn't have to qualify, because he's already qualified for Arnold Ohio after winning it this year.
Kieliszkowski and Novikov are also already qualified, but they compete nonetheless. Shaw and Licis didn't qualify yet, Martins will have to win Arnold Santa Monica in January and it's possible that Brian Shaw won't qualify for Ohio.

ah ok, cheers for info. any idea how bad the nerve damage is? really a shame martins is out he's a great guy. also are the stoltman brothers also not competing?

He said his right trap and lat were firing at about 50% of what they should have this morning.

Nah, Stoltmans are not there. They competed in Scotland recently from what I saw on their yt channel.

Deadlift event over
JF Caron wins with 7 reps, 4 guys on 6, Novikov 5, Kieliszkowski 4
Brian Shaw surprisingly only 1 rep, and it looked bad. Probably some injury

Anyway, no one on Jow Forums interested in strongman?

People on /fits dont actually care about lifting as a sport theyre just in it to have more sex

Sad

I am, it's just that I'm getting ready to go to work and I'll be driving the whole time so I can't post.
I'm super bummed about Licis and not at all surprised at how Shaw has been bombing lately.
Without Hafthor this is basically the Mateusz and Oleksii show.

Kieliszkowski wins last event, Novikov 2nd
Final top 10 results:

1 Mateusz KIELISZKOWSKI POL 80.5
2 Oleksii NOVIKOV UKR 78
3 Jean-François CARON CAN 71
4 Mikhail SHIVLYAKOV RUS 64
5 Jerry PRITCHETT USA 57
6 Jimmy PAQUET CAN 55.5
7 Brian SHAW USA 51
8 Aivars SMAUKSTELIS LAT 49
9 Matjaz BELSAK SLO 47.5
10 Rauno HEINLA EST 46

Shaw seems to have fallen off hard. I had more or less chalked him getting rocked at Columbus up to trying too hard to keep up with Bjornsson and getting hurt, and figured the rapid fire WSM set up in swamp ass Florida hindered him. Makes sense that age would catch up with him faster than it did with Z, Shaw’s not borderline immortal and he always seemed to stay huge through the off seasons.

being above 6'7" is quite the disadvantage in that sense, I feel like shaw and thor will not be able to show good results well into their 30s like e.g. Big Z did. For Big Z it was going from 180 kg to 140ish, whereas hafthor and shaw have to stay constantly around 180-200 to maintain performance

Is this a Warsaw Pact reunion, What the fuck is with all the Eastern Europeans?

Yeah, I think Shaw's time is coming to an end. It's very likely he won't even qualify for Arnolds Ohio now, because there's only Santa Monica qualifier left and Martins Licis also has to win that one to qualify.

Slavs and Balts potato strenght

Superior Slav genes

fact: slavs are the most powerful race in the world

Martins Licis, current world's strongest man is actually Eastern European too, he's Latvian.

Yes it is, pepper your angus.

Shaw with 4x wsm has nothing left to prove, and his giant body is degrading fast with age. Shame about Lcis as Lcis and Mateuz could be the next grate rivalry. Mateuz just needs to get a better powerlifting base.

Anyone know why Lindsay left Lcis' channel?

Inb4 the Santa Monica events are a last man standing deadlift, deadlift for reps, deadlift medley, and a head to head deadlift and Pritchett snatches up the spot.

Lindsay moved on with her life, thats what licis said on his AMA, its so hard for me to watch brian so hungry for more and his body cant go on like this its really sad.

Pritchett might qualify based on points. He attended few qualifiers and placed decently, so he might take wild card spot even if he won't win any qualifier.

She did?

>Anyone know why Lindsay left Lcis' channel?

Maybe because she was supposed to be 2nd editor but that chink guy did everything and she didn't do shit.

I had a feeling that the deadlift event would help Caron climb up the ranks.

Didn't he spend a lot of this year filming his History Channel show? It was great and hope they get a second season. No way film and continue to be competitive though.
