This exercise is the fastest way to get to snap city. Just do strict OHP without ego lifting and lateral raises + face pulls for side and rear delts

This. I do dips off of rings suspended from my pullup bar, it lets me pull the width in to where it's natural vs. having my chest spalyed open on a poorly sized fixed dip rack.

Your shoulder really shouldn't be pressing upwards in a position that's behind or directly above you.
You've got these bones, your clavical and your acromion, that get in the way of the action.
You can manage to do it, but you're going to be rubbing your rotator cuff muscles on the joint where the acromion and the clavical meet and it's going to wear at them over the years.

But you can do em if a line of text on the internet made you feel insecure, that's okay too.

its not even supposed to be done with enormous amounts of weight, can be done in the smith machine with safety clamps or even pussypad on the barbell if anyones scared of hurting themselves..

i doubt anyone has ever hurt themselves from this exercise if theyve done it right.

If you do it like in the OP image, you'll snap your shit up eventually. The key is doing it with a nice, wide grip. If your shoulder mobility is completely shit, you'll want to work on that as well, but you really ought to be doing that anyway regardless of your pressing movement of choice.

Its biomechanically a bad exercise. Does it mean you'll 100 % will get injured? No, but does it make you more prone to long term damage? Yes!
People do tons of shit without injury all the time, but all it takes is that fine buildup over time and then *snap* and youre fucked. Why risk it? Its just an exercise, dodge a bullet.
