NEET life General

I told my mom I'll kill myself when she stops providing for me and then she started crying and said she'd provide for me forever.
Easiest way to ensure freedom.

The nature of my work makes it so that it is very easy to find 1-3 years contracts that make enough money to finance 6-12 months doing nothing in between plus some for retirement.
I love the NEET life but I usually get bored after a few months so it's a perfect rythm for me.

I've done it myself for a few years, but now I'm using a company to do it. It's not 100% hands-off but really it's just a phone call every copule of months and some paperwork for taxes

Yes, the games industry is a ghetto, in my viewpoint. You're much better of doing almost anything else.

That's a great way to go, honestly. If you like your job and aren't a slave to it, you're very lucky

You have managed props but never owned them? And having insight you think it is just making phone calls?

How much capital do you have and how many props will you acquire? How will you get out from under the massive loan the bank will give you?

Why are you so bitter and salty lol

She won't live forever, so you won't be financially free.

I still want to go into gamedev, but not as a full time job, that's for sure. Maybe make a game as a hobby and sell it sometime as an Indie, but the whole industry is immensely cowboy right now. Expecting it to crumble anytime soon, probably when the next depression hits.

he'll probably kill himself after she dies

She'll live for 3 or 4 more decades and then I'll kill myself, that's more than enough freedom for me since I'm already considering offing myself before 30 anyway.

Life is good until mom or dad starts hounding me to do something that will make a difference for others.
