Oldfags at what age did you finally get a relatively clear skin? I'm 20 and I still got teenager tier shitty fucking skin to a degree I'm ashamed to show my face outside

Use cream and wash your face multiple times day, especially with that heat when you sweat

I'm 23 and mine is just now starting to get pretty manageable. If I don't use salicylic and benzo perox for a few days I'll get a few pimples though. I see fucking 40 year old men with acne bro. Probably won't be us but it is a possibility. Also don't go on accutane it is Jew poison.

It didn't really clear up at all until I was like 22, and I'm in my 30s and still occasionally get it. What really helped, even when I was younger, was learning that moisturizers are not bad (I thought keeping my skin bone dry was helping.)

Wash at least twice a day, use a non comedogenic moisturizer, and use OTC medication on the spots. Kinds that have sulfur in it work really well.

Good luck user

You get clear skin from taking care of your skin. Acne might be worse as a kid from hormones but you will get it your whole life if you let bacteria grow and dead skin pile up.

this is bollocks you can have the most airtight skincare regimen in the world and if your genes are fucked still be a pizza face monster. not saying that you shouldn't take care of yourself. just hate it when people see someone with acne and give the expert advice "lol just take better care of yourself bro"

I've never had acne and my face has always been so dry that the skin flakes off.

I luckily never had much trouble with acne or pimples even as a teenager, Im 24 and my skin stays relatively clear. Im just really bad with picking at scabs so stuff sticks around longer than it should do cause I cant leave it the fuck alone.

16. If you have acne last at least 17 then you are fucked

Never had serious acne, and I worked in a kitchen with greasey bar food all day.
Never got that bad because I WASHED MY FUCKING FACE LIKE AA HUMAN BEEANN

lol you think I don't? There's no helping when it comes to my skin

refer to this dubs of truth

Oh, so there's an issue beyond skincare? Huh, dermatologists exist, I bet they can tell you why you can't keep your fucking pores clean.

My back is like 10 teenage faces sewed together. So much acne and so hard to reach...

I have been to dermatologists since I was 14 and cycled accutane twice. If acne was so easily managed nobody would talk about it.

some of us were born with shitty skin genes, we gotta wait longer until it goes away I guess

Then the problem is not something Accutane can fix.

The problem is infected skin pores, period. The infection cannot come internally, from the pore. It's exclusively foreign material trapped in your skin, promoting an immune response.

There are millions of skincare products out there, you cannot tell me that none of them work for you.

Wash hot, rinse cold. That solves 90% of acne cases right there.

Always had smooth skin no matter what even though the most that it ever got cleaned was water running down it in the shower

I'm genetically predisposed to having some problems with acne. I never had it as bad as other people I know or lie the girl in OP's pic but I defiantly had to work on myself to make it better. My skin cleared up around age 22 after I started making a conscious effort to drink water as much as possible (I get through 32 oz a day ideally) and after I cut junk food out of my diet almost completely. It also helps that I can grow a beard now to cover up the pimples that pop up here and there.

If I made healthier living choices as a teenager I wouldn't have struggled with acne nearly as much I reckon.

Today is finally the day, I'm ending it now early in the morning before my parents are able to wake up. I haven't slept in roughly 30 hours.
Goodbye Jow Forums, and thank you all for the fun times. I'll start in around 45 minutes. ce

Had terrible acne from 13 to 20

21-22 finally had clear skin.

Making sure im hydrated is all I have to do now to keep my skin clear

Around 30 it FINALLY cleared about 98%

But now my fucking hair is starting to thin

Attached: 1561539207186.jpg (639x479, 20K)

Never. In my 30s and I have to use bpo/clindamycin regularly or I break out

I'm 27 and I've always had almost perfectly clear skin. I never wash my face except when I take a shower, or wash my pillow, and I'll often go weeks without showering. I also eat like shit, eating pizza and other greasy foods all the time.
Just get good genes. :^)

Wow, user, you're so smart, how come you don't make a trillion of goybux per month by treating dumb teenage girls? Oh, because there's actual science behind acne and just washing face is known not to work.

Plenty of options exist that are proven to work though

I turned 20 a few months ago, and it cleared up around that time. I've been a pretty heavy skincare user since I was around 17 or so, but only since I was 19 did I get a good routine. If you're certain a skincare routine won't work for you (and you've tried at least the very basics- facial cleanser/exfoliating + moisturizer + sunscreen/BB cream) and you suffer from persistent cystic acne, then you might want to consult your dermatologist for accutane.

I had acne like OP's pic until I was 25. I probably would still have it, I tried everything under the sun to clear it, nothing ever worked.

My son was born january 2018 and ever since that day ive had little to no acne. My skin is almost comletely clear besides a few residual acne scars.

So I guess the cure to acne is to have children

>plenty
>proven
Very few. Mostly Accutane (aka JUST FUCK MY LIVER UP) and benzoyl peroxide which is not very effective.
Most of the anti-acne skincare products are scams, period.

im 22 and I finished accutane about six months ago. my acne seems to be coming back in the past couple weeks.

I had cystic acne for years on my face and I cannot go back to having acne. too tired of having no self confidence knowing I look like shit. I have been doing the same skincare routine since I finished accutane and Im now just getting acne again.

it is because it is genetic. the accutane is out of my system now and it didnt work well enough. Im going to try to fix it for a couple months but if it gets worse im running back to the derm and demanding more accutane.

accutane made me bleed out of my urethra and anus while I was on it, and it gave me likely permanent visual damage, but I cant deal with having acne any more. My face is already scarred from all that cystic acne and I cant just let it get worse and worse until my face is totally scarred beyond belief

I had bad acne until 28 before I realized I'm retarded and wasn't doing the two things.

1) Moisturize your face daily in the morning with an anti wrinkle cream.
2) Wash your pillow cases once a week.

Your acne will get much better. I still have acne, but at least I'm not a pizza faced monster.

Wow user, thanks!

Too bad the zogs already beat me to the punch! Why let people do one thing for free when you can convince them that it's a medical issue and sell them drugs and creams for an issue remedied with soap and water?

I literally can't see why theyd do that at all, huh.

Yes, my pores are very large and i produce abnormal amounts of sebum, thats why i have acne. Hurr durr just was your face hur hur

>Why let people do one thing for free
Are you a Facebook mom by any chance?
Can you please redpill us by telling how bleach enemas cure cancer?
>soap and water
>infected skin pores
simply eric

So many people speak from absolute ignorance on this topic.

I did everything you guys said. all the acne treatments with the exception of accutane. I washed my face religiously, used scrubs moisturizer fucking everything. I worked out regularly and was quite fit and ate all my vitamins and had overall good nutrition. Ive tried not using chems and just warm and cold water. if it was on r/skincare or whatever ive probably tried it.

Acne is a very complex issue, and for some people, their acne is cured easily by the above remedies. Some people just have shit genes and no matter what they do they will have acne

These days I do nothing at all to my skin and its clear as fuck. I eat like shit and dont work out as much as i used to. The only thing that cured me acne was the birth of my son. I doubt that would even work for many, it's probably just some retarded genetic thing.

The spergs who say "DUH JUST WASH UR FACE DIRT BAG" are fucking retarded. There is no consensus on acne, not even accutane.

Get a good skincare routine. Wash twice a day with a gentle cleanser. Moisturize and use sunscreen.

I also had to go on accutane

The only thing that worked for me was not touching my face... with anything, even if the water stream from the shower was to hard, it would make me break out on my face. ITs difficult to make sure your face never touches anything but a light stream of water to clean it. Putting my face into a clean pillow still breaks it out. Just lightly touching my forehead with my hands makes me break out. Its fucking insane.

Oh, so you have an underlying condition that causes acne! Sebum production can be regulated in many ways, unfortunely though you can't do much about large pores.

But that means you likely have another unchecked hormonal or dietary issue. Ever had a blood panel done?

No, I'm simply pointing out that few people profit greatly from a small margin of people, for an issue that few ever deal with for more than a year or two. How can they do that?

Simple, people are lazy.

Also, even plain non antibacterial soap kills germs. No reason we'd be washing wounds for the last few thousand years otherwise.

But the best way to not get an infection is...

Ding ding ding

Not providing an Environment for bacteria in the first place!

>for an issue that few ever deal with for more than a year or two
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

If you have acne that means you have bad genetics, there is nothing you can do about it besides Accutane. Your skin is simply working wrong and that's it, accept it and die.

That really sucks man. I know how hard it is dealing with acne. I seriously have no idea how to cure acne like that. It seems like time is the only real cure for some. Try having a baby, that worked for me.

please stop telling people that having a baby fixes acne, its probably just a coincidence that your acne went away around that time

Man just wants white people to have babbies, nothing wrong with that.
I'm wondering if his acne went due to his chemical makeup change or if it really was a coincidence.

Well im male so i cant really have a baby
Actually, the hormonal changes that you undergo after giving birth can actually make you have acne, or get rid of your acne.

Its possible it was a coincidence but i doubt it. My acne was raging at that time worse than any other time in my life. I stopped getting acne i believe 3 or 4 days after he was born. It's hard for me to believe it's purely coincidental.
And like i said in my post " I doubt that would even work for many, it's probably just some retarded genetic thing."

Every white man here should have children, it happened to cure my acne, it might help others or it might not have any effect at all, just like all the other remedies prescribed here.

Im a male as well friend. When my GF had my son it cleared my acne. People dont believe it and its honestly probably just some weird genetic thing or a coincidence. Im just telling you what worked for me

Mine cleared up around 23. Still get the odd spot now at 34.

>Tfw haven't acne since 16
>Tfw 21
>Tfw still a shut in virgin who doesn't socializes

Well you can't gave everything

>Tell you I don't do shit to take care of myself and that you should just get good genes
>So many people speak from absolute ignorance on this topic.
>I did everything you guys said
You got gene therapy or something? How the fuck did you get good genes?

Im assuming that something in my genes said either "change hormones once have baby" or "change hormones once 25." So these were the genes I was born with. Nothing changed other than my age and having a child which arguably had a huge effect physiologically on me (yes I a male).

My point is that for some people there is literally nothing you can do to effect your acne. Maybe some things make it slighty worse or better, but by and large, you will still have bad acne compared to the rest of the population.

My other point is that some of the remedies posted here DO work for some people

I guess the biggest point is that acne and skin care is a complex subject with many variables just like the rest of biology.
