How do UK fags start college at 17?

I wish I started college at 17.
I would have gotten my degree by now. I'm 21. I have 2 more years to go.

I started then in the us of eh, not that hard, just dont be a brainlet

At least you didn't start at 25yo. Gonna graduate by 30, in two years.

you do two years at college and dont leave with a degree. university is next, that where you get a degree. university is four years for a bachelors

College in the UK is just highschool

Oh.

Then why call it college?

Different education structure. It's also called sixth form
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_England#Schools_and_stages

no it's not it's 3 years for a bachelor's, one more afterwards for a masters

Like others have said, there's "college" which is essentially your senior year and the year before, and then you go to university where you get your degree.

why did people ever do 6th form? every i know who did it hated it

I dont even know what the difference between sixth form and college is. They do both AS and A levels, so idk what makes one worse than the other

>They do both AS and A levels,
when i went to college, it was college did btec and 6th forms did a levels. in college you just do one course but in 6th form you have to do 3 (i think you drop one in the second year). Another reason people i know hated 6th from was becasue they stuck in school again.

The only people I know that enjoyed college told me it was because there was more varieties of glue to eat.

That's how it was in my college. You could do AS+A levels (do 4 and drop one the 2nd year if you want) and BTEC. I guess sixth form is normally attached to a HS and they uniform, whereas college is a standalone thing with no uniform? That's all I could observe when I was there

I started in the US at 18 and already had a master's degree by 22. (Math major.) School is honestly easy, why are you complaining?

It doesn't matter when you start college. A degree shouldn't be a means to an end. As long as you enjoy yourself the age doesn't matter. What's age but a number anyway?

It's a number which indicates how many minutes you have left to fap to anime girls.

Haha, true that. But as far as you know you could die in a car accident tomorrow so why bother counting?

if there is a uniform it tends to just be smart business dress, such as suit and tie instead of an school uniform with the school logo

I started at 12 but dropped out after a year because I burnt out. Went back at a normal age (18) and they were nice enough to resuscitate the scholarship they'd given me, on a much slower schedule. Completed it part-time after 6 years. Please take your time going to college, this isn't some kind of race. Appearing once in the local newspaper isn't worth it.

>12 year old burns out
Why do try-hard parents force their children through this hell?

>five sentences
user, you can rewrite your post like this:
"How do UK fags start college at 17? I wish I had started college then, but I'm 21 and still have two years to get my degree."

Nothing against you, man, just try to condense your thoughts a little better
