Where you loving user

I work nights as a security guard, currently at a construction site. Friday night I caught three guys trying to climb over the fence to steal things presumably. Shined my flashlight at them and told them to fuck off and they full sprinted back to their car. I shouldn't have, but I yelled "Nice" at them mocking their shitty plan. A few minutes later they drive by the site and I hear them yelling something. Then they speed off. Later on I saw them down the street sitting in their car watching me....

I genuinely think I am going to get fucking murdered by these guys tonight. They seem unhinged. I'm double checking the locks and I'll be on the lookout, we'll see what happens I guess.

Keep safe user. Would love to hear updates though, sounds interesting

stay safe mate, let us know how you get on
shit this has potential to be its own thread

Shit I'm in security too. Used to do that at car dealerships--I got pulled on because the Haitian guy who did the normal shifts couldn't do his job right and twelve cars got put on blocks on his watch. They're probably not planning to hurt you--they're watching you to get your schedule down. The trick is to be unpredictable. Walk the same rounds for a couple hours and then one hour do your rounds regularly then immediately in reverse. I used to catch people every night with that. Stay vigilant and you'll be alright.

Right now I'm working security in a high-rise apartment building and I hate these rich fucks more than the thieves back at the dealerships. They treat me like a concierge, but at least I'm making 15/hr + overtime.

Underpaid programmer and i hate it
I was neet for a while and it was so great
Worst part is i couldn't imagine a job that makes me less miserable.

I just want to be retired but seems everything works against me here. I have 5 yr work experience and couldn't find any work except one $19/hr position. no benefits and totally boring.

This. op should report back to us

I try to be as polite and understanding to all wagies and I think they appreciate it. I hope me being extra decent will make up for one fat/black/soccermom/boomer type individual.

Keep a gun with you by all times user, or just them steal, just gtfo if you see them trying to steal again

Programmer user, I have some questions
>what languages/tools/frameworks you guys use in the company
>how did you learn those especific languages/tools/frameworks
>tips to get hired

>off for 2 days after tomorrow
>drive around for 8 hours and listen to podcasts today
>watch tv and play vidya for 8 hours tomorrow
Why am i so miserable bros?

I fucking love my job!!!! And it's only going to get better

Take down the licence plate if you can. If they are too alert and far away just text your your boss or a coworker, asking them to walk by in civilian cloths and take a vid of their car and them in it. They'll fuck off since they'll be compromised.
Ballsy option is to sneak up on them and tag their car with "thief", "crook", "tweaker".

Just typed a full response and accidentally refreshed the page and lost everything (phoneposting from work)
So i will make this quick
I use java and js.
had a job in web dev i got as an intern whil at uni, where i used js and php. I taught myself these things (as well as html/css) on my own. My degree was economics meme degree which i was told would qualify me for all sorts of shit but actually it doesnt qualify me to flush a toilet, even though it is from the top ranked uni in my state

I worked at that web dev job for 5 yrs and quit. My parents filled my head with boomer nonsense saying i could make so much more and i should quit and move with them and if I applied places i'd easily get a job paying double what i was getting with benefits

I quit and enjoyed neet life. Parents got so mad that i was happy and my dad started harrassing me daily about getting a job. Said i should just get a mcjob
somehow i lucked out and basically 11 months after quitting my old job i got a new one. I use js and java. It pays the same basically, $16/hr after taxes and no benefits. So not an improvement at all

I feel like you need a comp sci degree but the best thing is Connections. My shit meme economics degree fucks me in the ass, it's worthless. At least it was free because i got such high scores on my SAT and ACT i got scholarships

Literally just get connections that is the best way to get a job

I work in a small apple repair shop fixing iPhones. Shits easy and pay is decent, only problem is it's so fucking slow during the summer in this college town that I do almost nothing from 9-2 every weekday. Shit gets boring real quick but I'm getting hourly so whatever
>get paid to read and shitpost
>get off early enough to enjoy life
Now I just need to stop being a lazy POS

Elaborate please user.

For the group

>tfw can't hold a job because live with my sick mom and have no way of getting out of it
Just lost my job a week ago because my mom was in the hospital for a week for the 2nd time in 2 months. Really sucks because my boss was extremely chill and the job was really easy and only a 3 minute walk from my house

I work at a carwash and in the morning it's a really enjoyable job because you're with another guy and it makes prepping the cars easy, but at night the workload doubles and the pace of customers stays the same if not getting worse and the stress kills me.

I called out of work today just to get out of closing.

Thanks for answering user-san. Do you have any material to share on the web dev stuff? I bought a Udemy course but I don't know how decent those are. I have a degree on IT but the best it got me on it's own was a fucking tech support position which pays like shit, like barely above min wage in my country.

not a wagefag yet but applying to places after I finished uni
i don't want to have to go back to my parent's place, and I can't fucking stand the wait.
it's not even been a full fucking day since I've applied to a bunch of places but I feel like I'm losing my goddamned mind

Attached: cat distress.jpg (326x326, 16K)

I work at home from my PC.
Only bad thing are the hours but it's manageable.

I got fired from retail last week and got offered a job at a car dealership the other day but haven't accepted, seems miserable and knowing next to nothing about cars I don't see myself making enough money over the summer to justify the hours.

What do you think Jow Forums?

My co-worker recommended me to go into security, he says the biggest problem is boredom, it's truly a do-nothing job for the most part.

Good pay and some places around here give you a gun (Once you get your license and training of course).

But I wouldn't want to do it, i'm too much of a puss.

Why'd you get fired?
anyway take the car dealership job and look for something else in the meantime

what is your work and what are the hours?

"Customer Support". I do 1pm-10pm.
I have the morning free for gym and all.

customer support....do you have to put up with a lot of bullshit from people? Some user way back was saying how you could get into a comfy, high paying government IT job if you put up with being a tech support for a couple or so years because it has such a high turnover rate.

There is some bullshit but I laugh more than it makes me angry.
We have a tech queue but I decided not to join it because it's too much work for the same salary.
As for government job idk.
What I'm doing right now is temporary honestly, I'd rather find a good job in Asia or US or whatever.

Manager at my old job and a few women apparently had some ulterior motive to get me fired. A manager in training was telling me about it in confidence after I had pulled into my manager's office and reprimanded related to my work ethic (I usually complete my work before the other staffers and help them with their own since mine is not nearly as widespread or daunting, but manager spun this as I'm always out of my area although there was no restriction and I was asked by other managers to help in other areas of the store). Not sure why I didn't speak to anyone at that job

I work at fucking best buy. For the most part it is decent and I get paid really good. The Boomers that come into the store are soul sucking assholes that cause immense problems and throw fits for no reason. Ive been with the company for 2 years but I dont know how long I can take it anymore. Theres like 5 different situations that happen and its day in and day out problems. I love my coworkers, Management could be better but for the most part its a pretty good job.

you make 14.5 /h r playing runescpae?
also is that joe reagan?

Be prepared for automated rejection letters, though most of the time they will not even reply and keep you anxious forever.

yeah, I'm prepared for that
just passing the time by daydrinking and shitposting right now

>work as a cashier at McDonalds
>end my shift
>go home
>30 minutes after I clock out I get the call that I'm $20 short
>they ask me to actually cover it from my end
>tell them there's no fucking way I'm going to do that and I'm going back to count it myself and if it's coming up short, I want to look at the cameras because I wasn't at my station 100% of the time and someone else was using it in the meantime while I was away
>they say ok
>10 minutes later I get the call that everything's ok after all
Were they actually trying to scam me or fucking with me or are they actually that fucking incompetent that they somehow missed the $20 somewhere?
Fuck me, I really need to find another job that isn't run by morons

Attached: 1518896089736.gif (342x239, 921K)

they probably just fucked up. I've got an entry level job and the managers are suspicious. Went upstairs with my co-worker to stow some stuff to the warehouse, passed our supervisor up there and he asked if we snuck out for a cigarette when we got back down cos apparently he didn't see us and 'nothing had been stowed'. Distrust of staff is inherent to the nature of low-skilled corporate work I suppose, though it bothers me perhaps more than it should... makes me feel like I'm still in school.

My experience is similar

>work nights
>work alone for like 90% of my shift
>only talk to coworkers when i come in, when i leave, and whenever the fat /v/-going coworker from a different dept comes in to rant about games, or the mentally delayed janitor comes in
>kind of boring, but i love how quiet and peaceful it is

Far cry from the shittiness of my last few jobs. I'm on vacation until next Monday night, though

Attached: 1556190042548.png (206x193, 96K)

>get a decent paying job
>32 hours a week
>get a gym membership
>getting my license
>looking to move out
>things are looking up
>lol we're cutting your hours down to 12 a week
>also we're taking away the two easy shifts and letting you keep the harder ones
Why bother actually trying to improve when life just pulls the ladder away?

find a different job user

This was a once in a blue moon job that I somehow got with my fucking garbage resume. I don't want to go back to the hell of zero interviews.

Their are so many ways to not be a wagecuck these days that if you are one, you deserve to stay one.

you can use this job as a bargaining chip though user

Where do you live? Being a Production Assistant sounds like it might work for you.

I work at a fast food job. it's piss easy and retarded. the actual job is navigating all the retarded hook up culture and mind games of all the co workers.
