Those small things also show you're either completely unaware of your own lack of discipline, or are unwilling to put in effort. The other guys are also posting multiple personality traits as red flags.
On the flip side whenever we get ideal bf/gf posts, most chicks put in ideals that are super looks-oriented and put in very little effort on describing a personality they'd fall for, whereas the guys just go "I don't care too much about looks as long as she isn't obese" and generally show personality traits they want in their ideal. Our upper bound is personality and our lower bound is someone who looks like shit because she behaves like shit.

I hate to defend these guys but the idea behind a red flag is an immediate signifier that something is off. Something like a moustache does say something about a person just as not wearing makeup says something about someone. You could argue the things deduced from such signifiers are of little consequence, but they still signify.

With that said, a lot of these aren't red flags, because they're things deduced or discerned over time. Like for example - how would you know someone is "loyal" from a first encounter?

Another issue is a lot of these posts are supremely vague (). What does self sufficient"

Obviously it's not something you learn in the first day and once the honeymoon period takes hold, it's hard to see, but there are obvious red flags and most good friends and family members, or even people on the internet will tell you when someone is clearly not loyal. That doesn't make it less of a red flag, it just means you can't hit that flag anytime soon and it's more of a "green light" to gtfo out of a relationship and not partner / marry / baby up.

I should be able to not look after you for a few days if something important comes up or even a month if something happens to me. It also means you aren't clinging onto me for basic survival, but for making something greater than both of us.
