Don't like the harmony choices and perc choices either. What made retro video game music so good was the fighting against limited technology to make the best piece of art you could. The spirit of that doesn't happen here. Don't think "because this is retro the music should be easy",Try pushing yourself on the melodic and authenticity front.

Morning, the end of time was lit tho. Guitar goes out of tune at the end but it adds to the authenticity of the track.

Listening to both, you really need to add some variation to your tunes. get the base down then go nuts with removing and adding instruments, parts and sound effects. Remember this is art, not a chore. Be as creative as you possibly can. Will follow, if your next track does the same thing I will do what I threatened above.

This is the thing that's bothering me the most, really. In the last thread (which was my first time posting my stuff) I did say that I think the sound is too simple and lacking, but then again, nobody ever said a bad thing about it for some reason. Like I said, I will think about changing the existing songs a bit, thanks for the feedback!

Well I'm not so sure, user, I mean the songs are a bit different, so I suppose you could say it is subjectively better or worse. Personally though, the song is too simple, it lacks a lot of creativity. I suppose it has a somewhat better structure than the other song, but I'm personally more proud of the other one. I suppose I won't delete it, it seems that most people agree with you, user, I think it sounds fine too, but I just can't decide what to think of it. Pretty good but I feel like you could have done more with transparencies to give it more of a fuzzy and surreal feeling.

I hope the lack of timing and poorly performed vocals were intentional. Play a metrome or a self made drum beat as you're recording to get yourself in time, there is no relationship between the guitar and vocals whatsoever. Like the concept but this was difficult to listen to.
