Everytime I go on a dry spell I act as though its intentional, which it is until I feel like a complete pariah for not having any intimate time with anyone in several months and get laid perhaps just because its the right thing to do. I don't know being a man and not having a significant other makes sex weird.

Like if you never attempted to get it you could go the rest of your entire life without it, but if it wasn't for porn, your friends, or otherwise societal influence I do not feel like I would even miss it.

No, in the same way you can't be a "born again" virgin. Being "born again" anything is just an excuse so you can avoid responsibility and consequences for your decision to subvert the group in the first place.
