imo, even if Drakengard isn't that good by itself, I enjoyed playing it. It's cool to think how this old PS2 game with a medieval setting is still important lore wise and basically the whole reason eveything else is even happening (both in the story and in reality too since it's the first game in the franchise). It's kinda charming I guess. But I wouldn't enjoy it that much if I didn't like the rest of the games, that's for sure
