it's like a 2m difference for the entire metro.
the real difference is in regional traffic totals. You guys have the ashburn datacenter. NoVa is the internet traffic capital of the country, largely because of it.

I am so sorry for you. Is that a mobile connection?

Shit, what the fuck do you do for fun?

ADSL in a town forgotten by God.
I like to imagine how websites will look when they finally load.

>the real difference is in regional traffic totals
hence why I said, just less people on it.

Amazon and dozens of other major services are hosted mainly, or at least significant presences in northern VA. As such, the pipes are simply more saturated than other places in the country.

Where in TX do you live?

I was hoping Grande might have bought out Frontier FiOS if they went bankrupt, but it doesn't look like its gonna happen.

Frontier FiOS is apparently looking at upgrading to gigabit service the way Verizon FiOS has done.

But they're shitty, so who knows.

>got my fucking 300 mbps last week after 10 years of suffering with 10 mbps adsl
>ask installing crew why I got offered only 300 despite them having up to 900
>"nobody else in the area has more than 300, so we can't give You more due to anti-monopoly laws"
can UE fucking DIE already?

Dallas Metro area, little town called lewisville.

to be fair, 300 or 900 makes no significant difference in most situations

10 bucks

worth it.

Pretty shit tbqh, even worst today...

>((()))

How the fuck does that make sense?
If no one can get 900 mbit if no one around them has it, how does anyone get it?

another ISP has to come in and start offering it.

When Verizon FiOS started offering their 1gbps service, it wasn't long until comcast had not only 1gbps, but a 2gbps fiber option as well.

hehe

Wat?

Actual download speed is closer to 7mb/s, never had anything faster than this

Attached: internetspeed.jpg (938x372, 35K)

>Actual download speed is closer to 7mb/s
if you mean 7MB/s that would be ~56mbps

>All this gigabit
>nobody seeding

>nobody seeding
well, not on public trackers...

Wild west here.
As per Xplornet phone rep
>most people don't need better upload unless they are a business user
>I have a business, will I get better upload when I sign up for your business plan?
>No, our business plan has same upload.
