>cpu is high
>open up task manager
>cpu quickly decreases
Cpu is high
>rename process
>modify binary so hash is different
>use alternative program altogether
quit being fucking retarded
This is happening to me too
Leave task manager open
This or
this.
>Uses botnet
>Botnet things happen
???
>cursor changes to the hourglass for no reason
>hourglass
So I guess I'm on an archived site of Jow Forums when hourglasses were an actual thing.
windows has like 50 scheduled tasks to run while the pc is idle
>What are cursor settings
if you think you have a rat or something disconnect from the internet (unplug, not control panel) for safest removal
just make sure you have your tools downloaded
This is actually happening to me at work with a Mac I have to use with win 7 in parralels. Strangest thing is the fucker is practically airgapped from any network.
This. At least I hope so...
>malware still recognises calls
You can view them with the task scheduler snap in (administrative tools > task scheduler in control panel)
Neat. Thanks
Explain these to a newbie please.
any malware could just sit watching for any code (other programs) that asks the os for the cpu usage info, then take action like giving back false info or stopping dodgy stuff
>Cpu is idle
>open up task manager
>cpu ramps up cause its opening tm
>goes down after tm is open
Nothing weird there
>doing literally nothing
>HDD spins up
>put computer to sleep
>wakes up again in the middle of the night
Gnu linux does not experience this issue
>employee is high
>task manager inspects
>suddenly sober
dudeweedlmao
What about log writing? That is pretty much constant (or logrotate).
Is logrortate always installed? I havrnt heard of it before.
>slap laptop shut after browsing in bed
>put beside bed
>immediately starts update because it's past 1:00 and I only now stopped using it
>whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Kek
Mine does this, it occasionally wakes itself up and shows the gnome login screen for no raison.
