Get a parametric equalizer that works systemwide. Windows users can pick up Equalizer APO for a simple solution.
Perform a sine sweep, such as by Sinegen, and look for annoying peaks and dips. Fill them in using peaking filters. Adjust the Q/bandwidth to affect the spread of the filter, the magnitude, and center frequency to make targeted corrections.
Then, listen to your music and see if you like the result. Try listening to multiple tracks. Make adjustments as needed, rinse and repeat until you like the overall result.
Graphs can help give you a rough estimate, but they don't have your ear geometry, nor your headphone unit, or
your taste.

My stax showed up in the mail 3 days ago but I've been working late every night so I'm too tired to open the box when I get home

I took out a loan to get some staxs, only 7% monthly interest

How to people feel about the Monolith stuff here? I'm considering picking up either the m560 or m1060.
