I'm a web developer and our whole company uses macs. Why? Because:
a) MacOS is a UNIX operating system which provides a very similar environment to our Linux servers
b) MacOS runs essential commercial software like Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Word, etc.

Macs aren't perfect. Neither is Windows. Nor Linux. It's about choosing the platform which best suits your needs.
